Maliki Moves Against Militants In Amarah, Iraq

Published by under All General Discussions

As I noted yesterday Prime Minister Maliki has moved against militant forces, who likely are part of the Iranian arms smuggling efforts into Iraq, in the Maysan Province capitol City of Amarah: Amarah is also one of the last bastions of the Mahdi Militia and one of the only major cities run by the Sadtist […]

Sadrists Movement Is Dead, Pulls Out Of Elections

Wow – even I did not predict Sadr’s debacle over the last few months was this bad.  I knew he was losing support among the Iraqis (see my previous post here).  But i suspected his recent surrendering to Maliki was an effort to stop the hemorrhaging and buy time to rebuild some credibility.  Apparently it is too […]

China Produces More Hot Air Than US

Global Warming is not primarily due to CO2 levels in the atmosphere.  That much is clear since we have just completed a decade of flat or slightly cooling global temperatures while CO2 output continues to rise.  Now a study has demonstrated that the US is not the world’s leader in CO2 production.  China has leapt […]

Obama’s Brother Outs Him As A Liar, And A One-Time Muslim

I will tell you what, there are some amazingly pissed off Hillary supporters out there, because one of them (HillBuzz) has really stuck the knife into the Obama Campaign (sometimes you have to know what to do with the gun when you bring it to a fight Obama).  Hillbuzz has the link to a post where […]

Democrat Delegate Too Repulsed By Obama, Will Vote McCain

A woman Democrat party delegate from Wisconsin has publicly announced she cannot stomach an Obama presidency and therefore will vote for John McCain this fall: As an avid supporter of Hillary Rodham Clinton in the Democratic primaries, Debra Bartoshevich is not alone in her frustration over Clinton’s defeat. She’s not alone in refusing to support […]

Obama Is Trying To Be Sooo Macho-Man, But America Doesn’t Want Someone With A Short, Violent Fuse

Obama is green and naive. Has never had to actually run a competitive race. When he won his state senate seat he knee-capped a respected liberal woman icon and had all other contenders tossed off the ballot. Obama ran unopposed. When he won his US Senate seat partisan judges went and opened up the […]

US Takes Out Another Terrorist In Pakistan With A Missile

If you fire on US assets – even armed robot airplanes – you will pay the price: An unmanned drone aircraft launched a missile after coming under fire from the ground in Pakistan’s tribal belt bordering Afghanistan Saturday, killing one militant, officials said. The incident in Makeen, in the insurgency-hit South Waziristan tribal region, comes […]

Sadrists and Iranians Losing Support And Ground In Iraq

A couple of weeks ago Iraqi (Arab) Shiite-cleric-in-hiding (in Iraq with his Persian Shiite hosts) Moqtada al-Sadr called for weekly protests against the American “occupation”.  This was Sadr’s last gasp as Sadr City fell under Iraqi control and the Mahdi Militia were beaten back in their main stronghold in Sadr City.  This was only a […]

Update On Afghan-Pak Border Clash – What Probably Happened

Updates Below I posted on the events that took place this week on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan the involved an hours long fire fight between US forces-Afghan forces and Pakistan-Taliban forces here, here, here, here and here.   To summarize I speculated that the Pak Frontier Corps (FC) outpost that was supposedly attacked […]

US-NATO Takes Out Hive Of Foreign Fighters In Afghanistan

Looks like the US-NATO took out another hive of foreign fighters in Afghanistan: Afghan officials say 31 people have died in air strikes in eastern Afghanistan. Interior Ministry spokesman Zemeri Bashary says most of the 31 people were foreign fighters. But a legislator from Paktika named Khalid Farooqi says at least nine civilians were killed. […]
