Democrat Senator Discloses Location Of Secret US Forces

Published by at 12:42 pm under All General Discussions,Pakistan

Damn these Klieg-Light attracted politicians who run their damn mouths. A democrat Senator has just exposed some of our forces to direct attack by indicating – IN PUBLIC – where they are launching the fight against al Qaeda:

A senior U.S. lawmaker said Thursday that unmanned CIAPredator aircraft operating in Pakistan are flown from an airbase inside that country, a revelation likely to embarrass the Pakistani government and complicate its counterterrorism collaboration with the United States.

The disclosure by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), the chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, marked the first time a U.S. official had publicly commented on where the Predator aircraft patrolling Pakistan take off and land.

At a hearing, Feinstein expressed surprise at Pakistani opposition to the ongoing campaign of Predator-launched CIA missile strikes against Al Qaeda targets along Pakistan’s northwest border.

“As I understand it, these are flown out of a Pakistani base,” she said of the planes.

As I understand it, the nation’s defense and war efforts, along with diplomatic issues, ARE RUN OUT OF THE EXECUTIVE OFFICE! Seriously, someone should charge her with disclosing classified information and endangering US lives. Her status as Senator (or being mentally challenged) should not shield her from justice.

Update: More calm reaction from Ed Morrisey.

Update: The Senator’s mouthpiec is trying to claim she was referring to a news article – but that doesn’t fly when it comes to classified material. People in possession of classified material are not allowed to confirm or deny news reporting – even inadvertently. She effed up and she needs to now pay the price, as any other American would.

    Iran’s Bomb Is Real

It’s now official: you can chuck the December 2007 National Intelligence Estimate on Iran’s nuclear program in the dustbin. According to the Los Angeles Times, President Obama has spoken, and said, unambiguously, that Iran is developing “a nuclear weapon.” The French agree. From a report released by the French National Assembly in late December 2008: “At the end of ten months of work, [the commission of inquiry] has acquired some certainties, notably the conviction that Iran’s nuclear program pursues military objectives.”

Future historians will have a field day with those hapless intelligence experts who drafted the NIE in such a way as to wipe out any residual credibility of a U.S. military strike against Iran in the last year of George W. Bush’s presidency, thereby also undermining sanctions efforts by the rest of the international community — especially if it turns out that the NIE helped push Iranian scientists to the finish line this year.

Feinstein should lose her security clearance for this. I can’t believe my state picked a moron like her and an even bigger moron like Boxer to represent us in the Senate.

  5. Morons! We’ve got morons on our team!…

I’ve often referred to California’s Senator Barbara Boxer as (D-Moron) because, well, she’s rather dim. Now it appears that California has two morons in the Senate, after Senator Diane Feinstein revealed that the US drones that have been attacking a…

Where are the men of California—please stop electing these rich housewives to important positions just because their rich husbands want them out of the house so they can pursue their own deviant agendas. Next reality show “The Housewives of Congress”. Sorry for the sexist spin but let men decide on war issues and women can have sole say on the abortion issue—fair trade.

I agree that men should reassert their power. I am tired of pussys in the media and government trying to run everything. Being a woman, I don’t trust other women to make unbiased decisions. The reason being, Men can make unbiased decisions because they are obsessed with getting some, and that doesn’t get in the way of their decision making ability. But Women are obsessed with getting even and who knows when one of them is going to get up on the wrong side of the bed and make a dangerous decision because she is mad at another woman.

thanks for going easy momdear1—I was ready to catch a whooping—the woman scorned thing is a good idea if its energy could be harnessed and properly aimed.

This is just one more thing that makes me wonder who elects people like Feinstein. Every one got all angry over the Valerie Plame thing, but if a Democrat senator leaks national security secrets, it’s no big deal. I wish the independents would take a look at this and let it influence them in the midterms next year.

Most likely the only ones who did not know this in advance are the American citizens.

Those things were flying out of somewhere and probably 10 guys around the airport were cell phoning take off and landing times or texting the info to the networks in country.

  12. SC says:

Regardless if those in Pakistan knew about the drones or not, a senator on the Intel Committee does not devulge this type of information to the public. It compronises the mission and the lives of those involved. It was very stupid of Sen. Feinstein to say what she said. She should be strongly reprimanded.

In regards to election of Boxer and Feinstein, the deck is stacked against us Californians. They both have major money to campaign with, they have been able to reach the politically uneducated, and the Republicans have not be able to put a strong candidate on the ballot that can beat them. Until the Republican Party finds strong candidate we will be stuck with them.

  13. Phineas says:

    SC,

I think we have a potentially strong candidate to take on Boxer in Assemblyman Chuck DeVore. He knows energy policy, understands the problems caused by runaway spending and taxes, and is generally intelligent.

Which means California Republicans probably won’t nominate him. :/

  14. SC says:

Unfortunately, the republican candidates for US Senator or high state elected offices do not get recognized until we start going into the general election. We read and hear about the local candidates, propositions, and the major incumbents frequently. Challengers for the US Senate will go unnoticed by the majority of the populace until the finish line is in site. By then it is to late. The uneduacted voters and fence sitters will/do not take the time to find out the positions of the challeneger and then pull the trigger for the incumbent. The incumbent wins because he/she is the incumbent for one, and he/she spent the appropriate money to beat the challenger. The state RNC needs to invest the time and money in viable candidates to overthrow the lifers. If they don’t we will go into a progressive society where it is runs the people.

I don’t think this Senator told anything too secret.

It was reported on March 27, 2008 in the Washington Post that Predators are based in Pakistan.

“Predator strikes [are] launched from bases near Islamabad and Jacobabad in Pakistan…”
