Stick A Fork In Gore’s AGW – It’s Done

Published by at 7:41 am under All General Discussions,Global Warming

Imagine – that nuclear fire ball at the heart of our solar system, which happens to be 1,333,000 times larger than the Earth (in volume), actually has more effect on our climate than a marginal gas making up less than 3% of our atmosphere. I mean, even the oceans – which cover 75% of the world’s surface – should have more effect on global temperature than little ‘ol CO2 wafting around in the air! News is breaking today on a study that shows cloud formation is driven more by the cosmos (that infinite beyond our small planet has wandered through for billions of years) than that magical marginal gas Al Gore (self proclaimed genius on all matters scientific)  has become fixated on.

CERN’s 8,000 scientists may not be able to find the hypothetical Higgs boson, but they have made an important contribution to climate physics, prompting climate models to be revised.

The first results from the lab’s CLOUD (“Cosmics Leaving OUtdoor Droplets”) experiment published in Nature today confirm that cosmic rays spur the formation of clouds through ion-induced nucleation.

This towering physical relationship between Earth, Sun and the cosmos was actually under debate by a bunch of PhDs who clearly were over-thinking things and somehow ($$$$’s) got obsessed with CO2 while ignoring the nuclear furnace that is our Sun – as well as the rest of the known universe. How could anyone be so egocentric to think CO2 was overpowering forces at play that dwarf the human imagination? Clearly, some of these PhDs need to cut back on their addiction to crappy statistics and re-experience reality more. Those computer screens are not reality.

The bottom line for the AGW crowd and their silly little models? Scrap them and start over:

Climate models will have to be revised, confirms CERN in supporting literature (pdf):

“[I]t is clear that the treatment of aerosol formation in climate models will need to be substantially revised, since all models assume that nucleation is caused by these vapours [sulphuric acid and ammonia] and water alone.

We have known for a decade now that the climate models were so much GIGO (garbage in, garbage out), since they could not predict the temperature response to CO2 for the last 20 years (plenty of time to verify the AGW claim). Facing the fact the IPCC, NASA GIS, CRU and a host of other bandwagon revelers were all wrong is tough for many. So tough they go into deep denial and hurl angry outbursts at those who have not drunk the Green Kool-Aid. But reality will prevail over bad theory every time.

Oh well, Darwin was right you know. Not everyone succeeds.

Aj, is the hurricane going to affect you all? If so, be safe!

  3. lurker9876 says:

Hopefully, this hurricane will turn out to be all hype. Be safe!

  4. WWS says:

hope the hurricane isn’t as bad as feared – still plenty of time for it turn out to sea, it’s a possibility.

OT: This morning I heard one of the most hilarious radio interviews ever! Ted Nugent gave an on-air interview to Bo & Jim, 92.5 KZPS (DFW) this morning, and it was beautiful! If you’ve never heard the Nuge go off on politics, this is gonna be a treat!

I hope he gets to be the headliner at the next Presidential inauguration! Btw, Nugent hits the nail on the head, and says it better than anybody else can. Cuz’ he’s the Nuge!

part 1 on this page is the best, although both are good; just be sure and use earphones because, you know Ted is a Wild Man!

(he scares the nice people, and this interview shows why!)

anybody who thinks all rock stars are left wing never listened to the Nuge!!!

If nucleation comes from cosmic radiation, I wonder what effect the Vela Supernova had on Earth’s climate????

  6. dbostan says:

We knew this for quite some, as thinking people.
The question is how long will the dopes need to be educated, while voting for the hopey-change du jour….

AGW was never the issue…. Money is. AGW is only the method.
OwlGore should be working for Barnum and Bailey… No, wait, all the clown positions are taken.

The Goracle is a classic example of the con artist who got caught believing in his own con. Now he can’t let go.

A truly talented grifter would have cut ties and made tracks a couple years ago – and of course the clever ones have. The ones I have a grudging admiration for are those who scammed the carbon credit system in Europe and who made off with billions of Euro’s that couldn’t be traced – effectively crashing the entire system.

Sure, it was criminal, but ya gotta respect the guys with the cojones to run a scam that takes down an even bigger scam! Especially when they get away with it. Kind of like “the Sting”.

Self-proclaimed climate scientist Al Gore said this was all settled. I guess Gore knows as much about science as Barack Obama knows about jobs.

You mean that bright yellow thing in the sky can affect temperature? Wow! Who’da thunk it.

re: “[CO2] a marginal gas making up less than 3% of our atmosphere.”AS

ATMOSPHERIC CO2 as of 2011 is 391 parts per million. Expressed as a percentage is 0.0391% or circa 0.04% or about 1% of 3%. YES, CO2 really makes up WELL less than 3% of the Atmosphere.

I have been trying to tell people for 20 years that manmade global warming was a hoax. I was on the board of directors of a national “environmental” organization back in the 1980s when it was decided that the environment was the cause under which the most people would be organized to “Overthrow” the government, because everybody had some kind of big nasty in their areas that they were angry about. The hard core militant activists left over from the 60’s Peace and Civil rights Movements, actively worked to organize grass roots groups all over the country who would come out and support them when they called for action. They were financed by million dollar grants from big foundations like the Ford Foundation, the Pew Found. Ted Turner’s New World Found. , Grants from government agencies, and donations from Movie stars like Barbara Striesand. and her ilk. These radical professional students had stayed in school long enough to earn Phds and managed to take over most of our colleges and Universities. They now teach their students the phoney science and “facts” that their cohorts dreamed up to fool a clueless population, as sceintific facts. They bragged that they could throw out phoney statistics and nobody would know the difference and they “Could Bullshit anybody about anything.” Looks like they succeeded since Our elected officials bought into their phoney crisis and passed so many restrictive laws and regs. that they destroyed our manufacturing base’s competitive edge and forced all our good paying jobs to go overseas.

The Emily Litella moment for climate science and CO2 ?

There is quite a bit of buzz surrounding a talk and pending paper from Prof. Murry Salby the Chair of Climate, of Macquarie University.
Over the last two years he has been looking at C12 and C13 ratios and CO2 levels around the world, and has come to the conclusion that man-made emissions have only a small effect on global CO2 levels. It’s not just that man-made emissions don’t control the climate, they don’t even control global CO2 levels.
