Hell No – Get Me Some Tea For The Tea Parties!

Published by at 3:32 pm under All General Discussions

Update: ACORN claims a right to steal our money to pay off delinquent mortgages – this will not go over well! H/T Allahpundit

Plus: Ed Morrissey chimes in. Morrissey is right, this woman should still be able to pay the mortgage, unless she took ridiculous risks. Still, not my problemo!

Major Update: We are not alone, the nation is fed up and we will not take it ANYMORE!

Fifty-five percent (55%) of American adults say the federal government would be rewarding bad behavior by providing mortgage subsidies to financially troubled homeowners. Among investors, 65% hold that view.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that, among all adults, just 32% disagree.

Seventy-six percent (76%) of Americans are not willing to pay higher taxes to help people who cannot afford to make their mortgage payments. Fourteen percent (14%) say higher taxes for this purpose are okay with them. Ten percent (10%) are undecided.

That is only going to get worse. If someone can find a way to relieve our taxes and loan the money so we get a return on investment – maybe there is a chance there. But a give away? A handout for bad planning and being dupes? I’ll say it again, Hell No! – end update

LJStrata and I are both very good and experienced engineers. We have four kids and now have a small micro company we started and hope to grow. We have been paying our mortgage and bills without any support.

Now I learn from CNN I may have to bail out a bus driver who bought more house than she and her husband could afford?

Hell No! Not my problem. Their house is in better shape than ours and decorated much, much better ($$$$). There is no way I am bailing her family out. She want to sell the house and furniture, fine. I have my own responsibilities to deal with.

This is the straw that will break the back of hard working Americans. Santelli was right – time for the Tea Parties to begin! H/T Examiner.com and Michelle Malkin

Acting President Obama is just playing to the losers that voted for him and his reparations jive talk.

Maybe it would be cheaper just to give them 40 acres in Nevada and a mule.

Other blogs have added a lot of detail from open source records on the history of this mortgage and to say the least they really didn’t choose a very good example to use.

Deport her to Detroit where she could buy a house cash out for less than her monthly payment in some cases.

I’ll take that 40 acres and the mule in Nevada.

Well, so long as the 40 acres becomes the right-of-way to Harry Reid’s $8 billion bullet train to Los Angeles.

    1. Get mule and 40 acres
    2. Sell mule
    3. Sell 40 acres to US Government at above market rates
    4. PROFIT!

What she doesn’t tell us is that she owned at least 3 properties from 2006 to 2008. Poor woman.

She has owned a condo at 6001 Arlington #721, Falls Church, VA since 1999.

She purchased 3438 Charles Street, Falls Church, VA on 1/05/05 for $510,000 and sold it on 6/10/08 for $429,000.

Her current home – 1920 N. Dinwiddie Street, Arlington, Va -was purchased with her husband (Luis Guillermo Flores) on 11/16/06 for $800,000.

Looks like they just got greedy. Are these the poor people that we’re supposed to help????
