Despite the enormous size of the $787 billion stimulus plan, some economists worry that it won’t make a big enough dent in unemployment and that lawmakers will have to work on another stimulus in short order — something members of Congress are loathe to discuss.
Now is the time to discuss how this bill will be paid off….
I’m gonna apply for a community grant to improve the appearance of my neighborhood. maybe a million. I’ll promise to plant flowers in my yard. It would keep employment (of me) for a least a month. Heck, I might spend all summer at it. Gravy train here I come.
I wonder if the American people will actually go for that. I read somewhere that less than 20% support any additional money being spent.
Pelosi’s smile in that picture scares me. Actually, considering the Spendulous bill, the words “American Recovery” draped behind her scare me.
The outrageous part is there are no circuit breakers in the bill to stop it, if for example gdp goes up for two months.
It is totally a spend to the end bill.
the recurring question I have is HOW are we going to pay for this? Eventually the Chinese will probably stop loaning us money. Besides… they have their problems now too. Then what? Print more money and watch inflation reach new highs? Doesn’t Obama, Pelosi or Reid even think about this?
Ya might also want to know that Obama has ended all sanctions
against Iran and any companies that help Iran’s nuclear or
missile program. Israel and Iran have been told.
