Published by at 4:58 pm under 2008 Elections,All General Discussions

Senator Obama has a message for America and his ability to work across the aisle when congratulating John McCain. A salute to the American voter! Way to go slick.

    Says a lot about a man’s character, doesn’t it.

If it were a real flip off, then yes, perhaps it might say something about his character.

Being that its an opportunistic video capture of a guy scratching his face, and obviously meaningless, then it might say something about the person posting it.

Your argument could stand to be more compelling than it currently is.

The day before the election, is this all you got?

The grandma thing in Hawaii… still think it’s all a conspiracy? faking a visit to his grandma to cover up a fake birth certificate… oh no!

My take is that his visit to Hawaii, to see his grandma, who was ill, was legitimate.

Think about fake birth certificates, audio tapes, palling around with terrorists, community organizing, bias media, fake polls, etc, etc… and look at the picture…

Compare that with the campaign Obama has run and the enthusiasm he has generated.

    Good luck tomorrow.

    Class act.

Just read where, according to Rasmussan, 35% of Obama voters plan to take Tuesday off. If Obama wins, it won’t be long before 10s of thousands of coal workers will have no work, and the rest of us will not be able to afford our power bills.

We are on the edge of the abyss, and the only question that remains is will we regain our balance and step away before we fall.

This is the second time he has given the bird. What must he think of the people in this country? That some how we would think this gesture cute, funny, respectful? Surely he thinks that the President of the United States is just another Hugo Chavez. The future president from the hood. Lovely!

Well, if it were the only time it’s ever happened, I might buy that it was unintentional. But it’s happened twice, and both times that it happened were when he was supposedly saying something gracious to his then-opponent.

If he always scratched his face that way, I might buy it. But he’s only done it twice, and under similar circumstances–when it would appear to negate the words coming out of his mouth.

    bib,
you know the host of this blog made debunking the birth certificate his specialty?

  7. GuyFawkes says:

The man’s grandmother died today – and THIS is what you feature at the of the page? Him scratching his face?

    Wow – real classy move.

    He is a thug.

  9. owl says:

He makes me sick. Good news? I gave it back to him last week when I voted. More good news? I have called this to the attention of at least 3 people that would never have seen it otherwise. He insults other socialist/commies, he’s such a cutie.

Bobby V – Debunking the birth certificate… somebody’s specialty? why? why is it even a topic of discussion? Hoping to win on some little technicality?

How about winning just because you have the superior candidate who runs a superior campaign and then gets more votes?

My point is usually the same (when I’m not just teasing people…)

Take a step back, and look at what you are actually saying. Compare the two initiatives and understand why you are losing, then talk about it. The real reasons. Good things about your opponent, bad things about your John McCain and your ‘chosen one’ Bush… the clear answers are right there…

So today you believe that Obama is flipping you off, and when looking at ALL the topics people all over America are talking about on the eve of this historic election… you believe that this is the clear topic that should be addressed… given the choice of so many options… a video capture of the way a man scratches his nose is the hot topic…

Think about that, and comment on the style of commentary it represents. Comment on the choice. Comment on how this particular strategy might NOT be a persuasive, intelligent approach.

I assure you that Obama and his supporters have better things to do than look at the way McCain scratches his nose.

There are less than flattering photos out there of McCain sticking his tongue out at Obama, how about putting one of those up for discussion as a contrasting viewpoint?

PS… how about Palin getting duped by those Canadian crank callers, believing she was having a discussion with Sarkosky of France… how funny was that?! The potential VP!

Nothing but a class act. Yes, he did it intentionally, both times while laughing and pretending to say something ‘nice’ about his opponent. He didn’t have to use the bird to show his character, we are already ‘familiar’ with it. I will admit he does have a lot of people fooled, b is b for one.

  12. bush_is_best says:

AJ – you are deleting me left and right today aren’t you… Are you shielding your readers from dissenting viewpoints?

  13. djs says:

Thug is too masculine. He’s a punk.

  14. And here is what we are supposed to do to thugs and punks.

Oh I forgot this is a STAINED DOCUMENT!

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

  15. luc says:

If Obama gave the bird, and I believe he did it for the second time during this campaign, just as I believe he was purposely insulting to Gov. Palin with his comment about lipstick on a pig, it just shows that this individual has a serious personality disorder. Instead of the White house he should be in a mental institution.

  16. Snapple says:

The writer Jack Cashill has been making the case that Bill Ayers wrote Senator Obama’s memoir “Dreams from My Father.”

He has a series of articles about that here.

Pretty typical of the poise and decorum we could expect with this idiot representing us on the world stage. He has made this country look like a bunch of 12 year-olds.
