Can “The Messiah” Beat “Cinderella Sarah”?

We live in interesting times. I am watching Greta Van Sustern’s biography on Sarah Palin and lord can I relate to this woman and her family. Sarah is coming to VA this week and every woman I know is going to go (especially LJStrata and DJStrata). I think Palin would have been a phenom all on her own, but the vitriol coming from the dems and the left have turned “the girl next door” into Cinderella Sarah.

Cinderella was a good soul, but abused by evil and power hungry sisters (think the sisterhood of old feminists). She was derided by a power hungry Stepmother (think the liberal media with tingly legs over Obama). She was a decent human being do what she could in life and being brutalized for it.

Sarah Palin, The Baracuda, is by no means powerless or cowered. She can whip some butt all on her own, and what she can’t handle I am sure the First Dude can. So the analogy is not perfect – except when viewed from Main Street USA. In this dysfunctional world, where the elites banter about how best they represent the people they screw over, it is not hard for average Americans to feel like Cinderella faced by legions of ugly step sisters. And that is where the connection fits.

Sarah Palin has that effect. She is down to earth American. She is the wife and mother down the street. She is the rock of the neighborhood. And when she is attacked for being from outside DC and not of the ‘quality’ required for the DC snobs, we see “Cinderella Sarah”. And in this rare instance we Americans get to be the Fairy Godmothers/Godfathers. We get to send Sarah and her family to the dance, We get to douse the crap coming from the evil step sisters and step mother and let the Palins lead “happily ever after”.

We are sending our princess to the ball to become legend. And that is why Obama (playing the spoiled spoiler) cannot win any more. That is why Palin is being given a cloak of invincibility by Americans. One thing we have plenty of in DC is rich elitist wind bags. What Americans will make sure happens this Novemebr is Sarah from Main Street gets to DC to start to balance things out.

We have your back Sarah. You are us, you will bring our voices to our government.

What kind of American can’t get behind Cinderella? Only the truly bitter liberals it seems.

Your commentary is so strange. That is exactly what I began thinking while watching Greta – this is a Cinderella Story!

I can wait to hear your impressions of the whistle stop in VA Strata family. You represent many of us out here.

Another interesting thing that is happening. I’ve been watching the Presidents approval rating on “Real Clear Politics” It has been going up as John McCain and Palin are impressing voters. Not that it is high but it is now at 32 point something from 30.4 over the weekend.

Something is happening. Maybe MSM has no clue that many in America like and respect this President. Nobody bothered to ask us regular folks.

Another thing is that many Republicans are riding on Palin coattails, last month they thought they didn’t have a chance, now they are rethinking things.

According to the NYT (seen over at Hot Air), Obama might be in a little fundraising trouble.

And I believe every time the media comes out with an unfair smear, it is actually helping Palin. It comes across as cheap shots. People so far like Palin and it attacking a popular figure usually backfires on the attacker.

The left continues to trash Palin. They don’t know how to do anything else much less stop. They don’t realize they are convincing more voters to vote for McCain. Americans don’t like to see anyone bullied much less a woman. But Laura Ingraham says “you haven’t seen nothing yet”.You have to wonder about the smarts of these people. Are they so eaten up with hate they don’t use their heads? Or are they just stupid?

Hey, AJ, Patterico suggested a reverse of Eagleton option to Sullivan.

Even if Obama decides to use the Eagleton option to replace Biden with Hillary between now and November, it won’t work.

I doubt that Hillary would accept.

The PUMAs would continue to support McCain.

Can you explain why this would be a huge mistake for Obama?

Boy, the Obama team had to realize that they made a gross error in the Biden selection and even Biden knows it.
