A Fourth Missile Attack On Terrorists In Pak Tribal Areas
I think this is the 4th missile strike at a Taliban/al-Qaeda safe house in the last few weeks, second against targets in North Waziristan:
Agencies add: A suspected US drone fired missiles at house in North Waziristan on Thursday, killing five militants and injuring another four a day after US commandos killed 20 people in a cross-border assault.
The latest attack targeted the house of a tribesman, Rehman Wali, in the Mohammad Khel area in North Waziristan, near the border with Afghanistan, where the militants were hiding.“Apparently three missiles were fired by the drone,” a witness in the area said. Five militants were wounded in the attack.
Meanwhile, at least 20 miscreants were killed during heavy exchange of firing with Frontier Corps troops in Darra Adamkhel in FR Kohat between Wednesday and Thursday night, says a release of FC Media Cell.
Clearly US/NATO forces are stepping up their efforts in a major offensive aimed at decapitating the Taliban and al-Qaeda as much as possible before winter sets in. More here.
