Women Will Rally Around Palin Because She Is A Woman – Under Attack

I am not going to go link to all the crap I have heard and read today (I do have one link to a particularly vulgar post over at DailyKos in my previous post for anyone so inclined). But it has included ridiculous comments about Palin not being able to be a mother and VP to the fact she was selected only for her ovaries. It is so anti-women it is disgusting, and much of it has come from the liberal media.

And in a stumble of epic proportions the Obama campaign is claiming this Governor, with more experience than Obama in elected office, executive office and as a commander of military forces (the Alaska National Guard), is not sufficiently qualified to be second in line.  Clearly the Obama camp is saying that a woman has to be more qualified to lead than a man – given Obama’s lack of experience. Talk about your double standard. Those 18 million cracks in the glass ceiling did nothing for the liberal Democrat male ego.

I have heard some democrats say women will not vote for Palin simply because she is a woman. But I can tell you right now women will support a respectable mother of 5 if she is under attack from a bunch of emotionally stunted liberals.  That is a given. Woman are excited today – and those slinging mud at this fine woman will NEVER be forgiven.

Update: This is the kind of crap (from CNN no less) that will chase women to Governor Palin’s side:

CNN’s John Roberts, after briefly alluding to the issue of Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s experience he called into question earlier on Friday’s “Newsroom” program, asked correspondent Dana Bash about how the Alaska governor’s newborn son with Down’s syndrome might be affected if she were elected: “There’s also this issue that on April 18th, she gave birth to a baby with Down’s Syndrome…. Children with Down’s syndrome require an awful lot of attention. The role of Vice President, it seems to me, would take up an awful lot of her time, and it raises the issue of how much time will she have to dedicate to her newborn child?”

What a moron.  Women should boycott the male chauvinist CNN. One thing I am noting is the look of silent disgust on the woman anchor faces as the dems try and go after Palin.  The Messiah is dead.

Update: Obama has had to backtrack from his campaign’s initial swipe at Palin for being too inexperienced. He came out trying to being respectful, but when asked why the campaign was in the gutter (paraphrasing) this morning he tried to hide behind the idea ‘campaigns’ get trigger happy. We know Obama authorizes ALL media releases, so we know who tripped the trigger. But if not, the only other option is Obama has lost control of his campaign. Either way, Obama lost.

Update: Palin’s great speech.

Hmm. I am honestly curious if she was truly, fully vetted. This is going to be an interesting couple of weeks.

This “troopergate” thing might be more substantive than I first thought. I still don’t think it’ll stick around – if you’re going to enact revenge on someone, a jerk accused of tasering his own 11-year-old son seems like a good target. But firing a guy who did nothing wrong simply because he wouldn’t fire someone for you – that’s pretty damn questionable.

I don’t see the PUMAs or the former Hillary supports being too excited about backing someone who complained about Hillary’s “whining”.

What she said about “The Bridge to Nowhere” in her speech today? Yeah – not quite true.

As for the idea that she’s only being attacked/criticized by the Left, I have one question: when did The National Review go liberal?

“Tokenism. Can anyone say with a straight face that Palin would have gotten picked if she were a man?”

    Breschau,

Man gets dumped by his wife and in an angry rage makes baseless claims against her Governor sister for revenge.

Every woman on the planet has dealt with this type of superior male.

One day in and the insults coming from callous and stupid males on the left have already won this for Palin.

I don’t think any police officer that would allow an 11 year old to talk him into tasering him needs to remain on the force. Any superintendant or whatever he was that would not fire him should also be let go. Messing around with a taser is dangerous.

The state trooper had other incidents, driving drunk with his squad car and shooting a moose while on duty. Just a fun guy?

Just talked to my daughter who is married to a deputy sheriff, she is outraged by this. She was also formerly employed in law enforcement and was tasered while in training. She explained how dangerous misusing a taser can be, the boy could have wound up convulsing or had muscle damage for life.

She also said the tasers in her county are equipped with a cameras that date and film every incident every time they are activated. I wonder if that might be why the Governor isn’t worried about the investigation or the supervisor and his weak remarks to the press. Another thing I noticed in the film clip was that the investigator is asking for tips from the community, what’s that all about? Solid case?

Umm.. a little rush to judgment there? Maybe?

Just to reiterate – I said in that comment, concerning “The New Troopergate”: “I still don’t think it’ll stick around.” So – chill y’all.

Allahpundit at Hot Air has a really good, really even-handed post about her. He manages to put in words something that’s been tugging at my brain all day:

“Whatever you think of Barry O, he’s got intelligence to spare to handle the job; a voter worried that Obama doesn’t know what he’s in for can console himself with the fact that he’ll be a quick study. That may be true of Palin too but she doesn’t have much time to show it, which is why every last mistake on the trail will be magnified to “prove” that she’s a hick who’s out of her depth. She’ll have to be letter perfect, especially in the debate with Biden, to convince independents she’s up to it. If she isn’t, I think McCain’s support in the center will collapse as people worry, as I did with Pawlenty and now with Palin herself, that we’re handing the keys to the kingdom to a totally unknown quantity who’s one 72-year-old heartbeat away from being commander-in-chief. Think she can be perfect for 67 days? Can anyone?”

Of course, his commenters are basically accusing him of treason for this – but I would expect no less from them.

  7. AJStrata says:

    Breschau,

you trying to insinuate she is just a dumb blonde? Obama has not proven intelligence (how many states 50 or 57?).

Your hole is deep enough p- stop digging. If you have a wife or girlfriend I wonder how much she is liking your ‘views’?

  8. breschau says:

    AJ:

Umm… what? How in God’s name could you make that conclusion, unless you were looking for some way to insult me? Congrats for confirming what I said about AP’s commenters. Yeesh.

First off, for the most obvious and snarky rebuttal – she’s NOT BLONDE! You did look at the pictures that you yourself posted earlier today, right?

Now, to get a little more serious… For all I know, she may be the most perfect candidate in the history of candidates. She may be as unto an angel that has come to earth to bless us with her presence. She may be JUST the thing McCain needs.

But – she is a complete unknown. What percentage of the non-Alaska US has ever heard of her before? 1%? Maybe? She just doesn’t have enough history with the American people to get past any possible gaffes in the next 67 days.

Now, read that carefully: I am NOT saying she definitely will make a gaffe. And I’m certainly not saying she’s “dumb”. I am saying that IF she makes a gaffe, it’s going to be very difficult to get past it. Go ahead and deny reality if it makes you feel better.

And tell me honestly: do think there’s a chance that Obama REALLY thinks there are 57+ states? Really?

If that’s the case, then why doesn’t McCain lose all foreign policy credibility for thinking there is an Iraq/Pakistan border? For saying that Iran was training Al-Qaeda?

Those are called “slips of the tongue”. Reasonable people don’t hold them up as “proof” of anything. I know you know better than this – why are turning into a RedState poster all of a sudden?

One other honest question: do you really think Obama isn’t intelligent? You are such a partisan GOP hack now that you can’t even admit THAT? You think a Harvard-educated lawyer is potentially a moron?

THIS is why your party is dying around you – your refusal to say anything even slightly complimentary about a Democrat, even when it’s blatantly obvious to anyone with an IQ over 1.

  9. Mark_for_Senate says:

Uhm, breschau. You are clearly an educated moron. You are what I’ve termed ‘irreversably stupid’. All information, facts and history that does not support your skewed world view are simply ignored and discarded as non-existent. Therefore, you are unable to learn. Unfortunately, you are not alone. You are the primary target of the democrat party of which the majority of the MSM are active members in agenda driven propaganda distribution. I actually pity your ignorance as it’s likely you will be ignorant of reality for your entire life. How pathetic. Good luck.

  10. breschau says:

    Mark:

Thank you for insulting me without making one single reference to anything that I’ve actually said that you refute, or stating a single fact of your own. You really added a lot to this discussion.

  11. Mark_for_Senate says:

Most readers/posters here realize you are a partisan troll not really interested in adding to the discussion. The simple fact that Palin has a resume of accomplishment and Barack does not but espouses that he does speaks volumes. Also, no matter how hard you look, I doubt you will find few, if any, questionable associates unlike the still ‘unvetted’ Obama. I suggest you do some fact checking and research where you actually read the parts that don’t fit your pre-subscribed views. There may be hope for you yet.

  12. breschau says:

    Mark:

    1) Please list out Palin’s “resume of accomplishment”.

    2) Please prove where anything I’ve said about Palin is wrong.

    3) Please explain how someone how has been in the center of attention in America for 18 months, someone who is by McCain’s own claim “the biggest celebrity in the world” – is “unvetted”.

That has to be the most amazing thing to me about you GOP hacks: how you can hold in your brain, at the same time, that Obama is “over-exposed” or “the biggest celebrity in the world”, *AND* that “we don’t know anything about him”.

Which is it? We hear too much, or we don’t hear enough?

  13. ivehadit says:

Judging by the Lefts’ viciousness, I would say this is beyond a home run for America. The Left and the media is being exposed at EVERY TURN.

I will put up what Sarah Palin has accomplished in her years as governor against ALL of o’s years in government. And let me tell you something, I know the Saul Alinsky IAF VERY INTIMATELY. Very.

Wright, Ayers, Dorhn, Flager, Davis, and on and on. More socialists than I care to name. These are ones o has chosen to hang around… for 20 years.

I’m sorry, but too many thousands of American citizens have given their lives to keep socialism out of America. It is simply reprehensible to allow ANY of the above “friends of o” or o himself near our House. Ever.

    Palin. Strong, strong pick.

    McCain/Palin victory in Nov.

  14. Mark_for_Senate says:

Google is free. I also haven’t found where Palin has requested the DOJ to ‘investigate’ any organization’s distribution of her prior ‘dealings’, nor suggest that ‘the people’ complain to any media outlets that wish to discuss associates while refusing to participate in said discussion (Obama vs WGN), although it is still early. I anticipate a ‘Dan Rather’ style of ‘vetting’ from the MSM for Palin, while they have yet to even question (and/or follow-up) on Obama’s associations.

  15. Terrye says:

    breschau:

You are not being honest about Allahpundit, in fact he said today that because of this he actually gave money to McCain. He detests Obama.

  16. Terrye says:

And the whole trooper thing is probably nothing. I am sure she was vetted. In any case it does not bother anywhere near as much as Ayers, and Rezko and Wright and all the other crooks and liars that Obama built his career on.

But what do you care about experience? After nominating Obama, all that goes right out the window.

  17. Terrye says:

Obama is a study in style over substance, right down to his fancy speech with fireworks and music and over the top demagoguery. Palin is nothing like that. She is real.

  18. breschau says:

    Terrye:

Please explain how I am not being “honest” about Allahpundit, when I provided a link to his piece. Anyone who needed details could make one click, and learn everything they needed.

Here’s an example of comments from that post:

“You should move on to the Huffington Post Allah. You seem to be acting like a pussy here and buying into the whole lib narrative.

echosyst on August 29, 2008 at 3:40 PM”

“ENOUGH with the negative waves. It’s coronation time baby. She’s it. Long live the queen.

Mojave Mark on August 29, 2008 at 8:17 PM”

“Allah, I used to respect you but this is some of the worst drivel I’ve ever read. It’s also wrong, wrong, wrong.

Whose side are you on, Allah?

prairiemain on August 29, 2008 at 8:37 PM”

And I’ll ask you the same questions as I asked AJ:

Do you honestly think that Obama believes there are 57+ states?

Do you honestly think Obama isn’t intelligent?

  19. Terrye says:

    Breschau:

Oh Good God, there were hundreds of comments on that post, and you cherry pick a few to try and make an issue where one does not exist.

Allahpundit is always cautious and makes a point of playing the devils advocate. But he never said that Palin was not qualified or anything of the kind.

  20. Terrye says:

As for whether or not Obama believes there are 57 states, ask him. But then you can’t get close to him. Obama does not do townhalls. Obama does not do impromptu press conference where he can not control the agenda. Everything has to be perfect and protected for Obama.

    empty suit.
