The O-Bomb: America Is On Suicide Watch In Barack’s America – Updated

Published by at 10:34 pm under 2008 Elections,All General Discussions

Obama is such a liberal it is amazing. First off was a propaganda biography that would make Joseph Goebbels proud. Obama talked about his father from Kenya and mother from America following the American dream. Which also, according to the biography, Obama only remembers a month with his father. His mother wanted him and her to follow the American dream – in Indonesia. His father fulfilled his part of the dream taking off for better pastures.

I have no clue who wrote this crap, but as far as I could tell Obama should be president because he went to a parade for US astronauts. The biography was incoherent and, for those who KNOW his biography, a PR white wash.

When he got into his speech it was doom and gloom and all the fault of someone other than a do-nothing Democrat Congress. Can’t afford the gas, the credit cards, the taxes. His view of America was so negative and pessimistic one wonders why anyone would stay around and try and fix it. Geez, we have veterans sleeping in the streets for heaven’s sake! And in his effort to try and bring a new hope to DC, he was flippant and obnoxious and naive about the issues and his opponents. I heard so many sob stories (which I have lived through and succeeded through) it was just pathetic. He recalls all the others in his life who accomplished something – but he did nothing himself.

There is very little chance this narcissistic and insulting ‘speech’ is going to move the independents. Ho hum – another liberal spewing fantasies and lies. Yes, 20% of this nation is that naive. But 80% aren’t. This is a disaster of a speech.

Obama’s world view is we can do NOTHING on our own. We can do NOTHING without assistance from government. Obama has a serious Santa Claus complex – he wants to ‘help’ all those poor and desperate people who cannot make it on their own and could only succeed with Barack’s help. Ugh.

Inflate your tires! In 10 years we will no longer be dependent on foreign oil – Obama will have outlawed cars.

Update: Obama went into total incoherent mode at the end about not going back or something. And the ending music was so strange and moody one just had to wonder who picked the selection. I had given up on Obama because it was such an endless litany of liberal sob stories and empty rhetoric that my BS meter pegged.

But DJStrata claimed Obama made some snide remark about McCain’s sacrifice:

I love this country, and so do you, and so does John McCain. The men and women who serve in our battlefields may be Democrats and Republicans and Independents, but they have fought together and bled together and some died together under the same proud flag. They have not served a Red America or a Blue America – they have served the United States of America.

So I’ve got news for you, John McCain. We all put our country first.

I bet this sounds worse when on video instead of on paper.  But what McCain has been saying is Obama has not done these things, he doesn’t have the experience.  He has not made tough decisions, risked anything.  I may be old and out of sync with America, but this was a laugher of 3rd grade level platitudes when it was not insulting. Grade – F

Update: Found the video section of Obama’s speech where he tries to challenge McCain’s service to America with that of others (it starts at time mark 5:30 or so):

One thing I do know is the military (who do the sacrificing, bleeding and dying) and their families overwhelmingly support President Bush and Senator McCain. Obama’s attempt to use the sacrifice of others to attack a man who was offered freedom so our enemies could win some PR points, but turned it down and was beaten and isolated for refusing looks cowardly and worse. Obama is no better than those VietCong Kerry embraced so many years ago. He too is willing to use a prisoner of war and his suffering for political gain. This part of the speech is a disaster because Obama is lecturing a man who he cannot stand up to. We know McCain and others sacrificed Barry, we also know you did not to the level they did. Not even close.

There is so much wrong with this speech, every statement a lie or spin it would take hours to tear apart. Thankfully the blogosphere will divvy up the job in the coming days. But to me the speech was just a joke until this part. There will be a backlash – and it will coincide with 9-11 and our last remembrance of that fateful with the President who fought the wars which have kept us safe from attack here at home, and who turned al-Qaeda from the future of Islam in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan to the enemy of Islam in those communities.

I will post more on what this year’s 9-11 anniversary will bring with it being George Bush’s last one in office, but honest people will think back to 9/12/01 and realize that if I had said “you watch, George Bush is going to take care of this and by the time he leaves office the Muslims of Afghanistan and Iraq will not be cheering al-Qaeda, but instead will be hunting with American allies” you would have probably thought I was mad.

If you want to see change then look to Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, where al-Qaeda was cheered and admired in 2001, but is now hunted for horrific crimes against fellow Muslims. al-Qaeda is now the enemy of Islam, not the future of Islam. And that is change no inexperienced fool like Obama could ever hope to achieve. It is also something outside the grasp of those handwringing liberals who refuse to see what has been accomplished in the war on terror. They don’t want change, they want to live in a fantasy world of lies and rhetoric and play Santa Claus to all us needy and helpless people.

Pullease. The change we need is to get past this liberal dribble and reward those who helped create change like this world has not seen since it vanquished Adolf Hitler.

What a shock – you hated the Democratic nominee’s speech. Wow, gosh golly gee, call the papers, we got ourselves a scoop.

    *sigh*

I realize it must be tough going through 4 full days where you are completely irrelevant, but you really should find more productive ways of spending your time.

But hey, keeping pushing the “Obama can’t give a good speech” meme. That’ll go over about as well as “Peyton Manning can’t throw a football”, or “Coldplay can’t make a best-selling album”.

Partisan first, honesty next. Awesome job.

  2. AJ: I see the Anti-American/Pro-Jihadi Traitorous Delusional Democratic Leftist Nutbag Troll known as “breschau” stopped by, to make a comment!

Wow, huge surprise there, isn’t it?

He’s disappointed because you didn’t love the new Messiah, The One, Barack HUSSEIN Obama (PBUH)(SWT)(SAW); the Marxist-Muslim, mentored by a Racist Anti-American Black Nationalist Communist Pedophile named Frank Davis; adopted by an Indonesian Muslim and raised as a Muslim; raised by a Communist-sypathizing Grandfather who smoked dope and hung out with Black Communist Pedophiles; son of a radical Anti-American nutjob woman named “Stanley”; who studied the Communist Manifesto in High School, and who belonged to a Communist sympathizing Unitarian “Church”; who had his political career stage-managed by a couple of Anti-American/Marxist Terrorists, specifically the Date-Raping Bill Ayers and his Terrorist-wife Bernadine Dorn; friend, companion, and student to Anti-American, Anti-Semitic/Pro-Jihadi Radical Palestinian Professors in college; owner of the most hollow resume ever for someone elected to the Harvard Law Review; stage-managed fradulent Political-career managed by Emil Jones; best buddy and business partner to Racist and Anti-American corrupt Chicago-area “businessmen” such as Tony Rezko, etc.; parishioner and mentee to Anti-White/Anti-American/Anti-Semitic radical Nation-of-Islam Muslim-turned-“Christian”, Jeremiah Wright; mentee and friend of Anti-American/Anti-Semitic “Catholic” Priest Father Phlager…..and the list goes on and on……and guess what AJ, “breschau” wonders why you’re not impressed with Obama?

    Geez, I wonder why?

Freaking Anti-American/Pro-Jihadi Delusional Traitor Democratic Lefist Nutbag Troll…..

It was a lousy speech and I noticed quite a few in the audience were not appreciating it either. It was the audacity of hype that around 70,000 dummies could believe in. Sad, very sad.

  4. missy1 says:

Perfect DaleinAtlanta! Needed that after listening to that audacious gas bag!

  5. kathie says:

HOLY COW, IT WAS AN EVENT THAT DID EVERYTHING IT WAS BILLED TO DO!

It is really frightening. The same rhetoric I’ve heard from democrats for 40 years, delivered as if it were brand new, by someone I can’t get a handle on. I’m trying to understand how his words fit with his past. Suppose he is the biggest fake ever? By his accomplishments I could be president.

  6. DJStrata says:

That was a horrible speech. This was suppose to be a speech about how he was able to be the President. And all he did was talk about McCain. He kept saying he had a plan, could not actually spell it out. He said he would show how he would spend every penny, but never explained it.

It was empty and false, and he was losing the audience by half way through. Horrible speech. And the worst PR move I have ever seen.

Lets hand McCain the media coverage on a silver platter!

  7. DJStrata says:

I think it was also a wrong move to have Obama speak on the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s speech. King wanted equality and to end the racial separation. And here is a candidate who has been able to use that headway that King sparked and become a presidential nominee. But he has kept race as part of the game the entire time. Yes it is a big step in history. No one is going to refute that. But race should never be the sole reason to vote someone into office. We have laws and standards that you cannot be accepted into schools, hired for jobs, fired from jobs, etc. based on race. Why should one of the most important jobs in this county be dealt with on any other standard.

I think King would be proud of how far Obama has come, but would be very disappointed in the way he did it.

  8. kathie says:

Frank Luntz thinks it was great. I sure hope McCain can bring something to this debate. This is a very unusual election, theatrics verses substance. I wonder who the American people will choose.

  9. kathie says:

Best line I heard on Fox. Great speech, great fireworks, but you have to ask yourself, “when a plumber comes to your house if this is the first set of pipes he has worked on”.

  10. J.D. says:

So Obama can throw a party, draw a crowd, and read a speech. Congratulations. Sadly for him, for the swooning masses, and for all of us if he wins, none of that has anything to do with being President of the USA and leader of the free world.

Really. Wipe away the tears, step back from the fog of celebrity, and ask yourself, “Can I believe any of this rhetoric?” Maybe these questions will help us all.

Does Obama have a record of accomplishment?

Has Obama worked with anyone across party lines?

Has Obama led his own party to change? or is he a young, charismatic remake of Teddy Kennedy?

Does Obama’s choice of political partners and friends (now under the bus) give you confidence in his judgment?

Would anyone want to come to America if it’s really as bad as he says it is?

Had we left Iraq when Obama wanted to (pre-Surge) where would Iraq be?

Should I stop clinging to “guns and God?”

Should I stop caring for Life, because Obama doesn’t want his daughter “punished with a baby?”

Should I set aside my commitment to Life, the 2nd Ammendment, Marriage, and Legal Immigration and embrace his “progressive” ideals?

    Food for thought…

Typical Democratic boilerplate. Vote for me, get free stuff you sorry sob you.

  13. Terrye says:

And btw, has Mr. Wonderful come up with any kind of legislation in the Senate that might help reach of any of these goals? Hell no. He and his friends have spent the last two years bitching about Bush, investigating Bush, calling Bush names and in general doing their damnedest to drive down Bush’s numbers. The American people? Who are they? Oh yeah, the voters. Oh hell, we will just feed them the same line of crap we have been spewing for years.

  14. Terrye says:

    DJ:

Yes, but he made history at the expense of a woman making history. Women did not get the right to vote in federal elections until the early 20’s.

  15. browngreengold says:

Just a couple of things that jumped out at me last night from an overall unimpressive speech:

Abortion. As I listened to B-Rock pontificate about abortion all I could think of was his willingness to allow a baby to be born and then lie there and die without medical assistance because the child might be an inconvenience to its mother. I thought of Obie’s willingness to allow a child to be partially born, feet first, only to have its skull punctured and its brain sucked out. I thought of my best friend and his wife and how much they want children. I thought of my own children and holding them in my arms for the first time and I kept thinking how could anyone think that it’s OK to let a baby die because it’s more convenient.

“We are our brother’s keeper.” I thought of how Obie has a half-brother living in a shack in Kenya on $1 per month. A brother who wonders where his next meal is coming from. A brother who lives in abject poverty while we listen to the new Messiah speaking down to us about taking care of one another. He also has a Grandmother living in squalor. There’s a school in Kenya that is named after him. He promised to fund it yet he hasn’t sent a dime. Obie has millions of dollars. He lives in a mansion. He is well connected. Yet he will not assist his own family.

Lots of soaring rhetoric and red meat for the mindless masses but anything more than a cursory glance reveals the fact that, once again, there is no substance. There is no depth.

  16. TomAnon says:

What a piece of work this BO is. Incredible speaking skills completely wasted on a State of DisUnion speech. I could stomach only about 20 minutes of it just enough to get the gist of the entirety. Briefly,

Bush Sucks and by association McCain Sucks 90% of the time.

Ask not what you can do for your country, demand that your country do something for you.

BO has no clue on any matter concerning the projection of this countries force and power. Zip, Zero Nada…. It went something like “I will get Osama Bin Laden when we have him in our sites… ” what a moronic statement. Incredibly insulting to everyone serving in the military. Also equally moronic “John McCain says he will go anywhere in the world, anytime, anyplace to get Osama Bin Laden, yet he will not go into a cave and get him now”

Is anyone actually stupid enough to believe the great and powerfull BO will actually cut taxes? Remember, all he has to do is let 99% of the Bush tax cut expire and he can still claim he actually cut taxes when in fact his inaction will result in a massive tax increase for all! Be carefull of Washington DC speak on these matters as these guys regularly claim they reduce the size of Government merely by not growing it as fast as planned.

BO is a total narciscist who clearly thinks we are all deluded by his grandeur.

  19. cochino says:

Very strange situation. There are fundamental problems that remain for Obama (and I’m starting to think they will not be resolved before election day). I haven’t been around that long, I guess, but I don’t think there has ever been a candidate who is more of an unknown, even to his staunch supporters. What motivated his father? his mother? him, when he was a boy? a young adult? For that matter, what motivates him now?

The video, for example, like a lot of material on Obama’s life, just causes you to have more questions. He talks about how much his parents believed in America. But his father loved the United States so much that he left and never came back. You couldn’t even get that guy to come back to visit! His mother loved it so much, she moved with Barack to Indonesia.

There are things about his life that will disturb the average voter, I think. It’s too novel. Have we ever had a President (aside from the founding generation) whose father was not only not a U.S. citizen, but never had any interest in becoming one? Have we ever had one (again, aside from early in U.S. history) who was a also citizen of another country during part of his own life (he was adopted by an Indonesian man, after all)?

It’s hard to get a coherent picture of Obama’s life.

  20. breschau says:

Hey, you know who else hates America?

    Pat Buchanon:

“It was a genuinely outstanding speech. It was magnificent. I saw Cuomo’s speech, I saw Kennedy in ’80, I saw Douglas MacArthur, I’ve even seen Martin Luther King. This is the greatest convention speech and probably the most important because, unlike Cuomo and the other – this is an acceptance speech. This came out of the heart of America, and he went at the heart of America. This wasn’t a liberal speech at all. This is a deeply, deeply sensitive speech – it had wit, it had humor, and when he used the needle on McCain, he stuck it into McCain. […]

This man is a professional orator, and he’s a writer of his own speeches. But let me read it, because here’s where you get into the roll and the cadence, and how a speaker can really pound a point home. He says:

‘I love this country, and so do you, and so does John McCain. The men and women who serve in our battlefields may be Democrats and Republicans and Independents, but they have fought together and they have bled together and they have died together under the same proud flag. They have not served a red America or a blue America, they have served the United States of America.’

Now, that is how you bring people off their feet – by pulling at their heart.”

So, yeah – y’all keep on going with the idea that it’s just everybody else that’s gone batshit insane.
