Iraqis Look To US For Protection

Published by at 11:18 pm under All General Discussions,Iraq

With al-Qaeda Islamo Fascist on a killing spree against Iraqis Muslims in order to make the US news shows and send a signal to Congress to hurry up and get Bush to surrender before al-Qaeda is decimated, it is no surprise Iraqis are now turning to the US to help stop these fanatical madmen. And we are taking steps to capture or kill (preferrably the latter in my opinion) these killers some in Congress want to let win in Iraq:

U.S. troops stormed Tuesday into an insurgent-controlled area of a turbulent province where police reported that gunmen — some wearing military clothing — had massacred 29 Shiite villagers the night before.

American soldiers backed by tanks, helicopters and at least one F-16 jetfighter rolled into the eastern part of Baqouba, the capital of Diyala province.

Gunfire could be heard in the main market district, and Sunni imams in four mosques used loudspeakers to call on their followers to fight the Americans, residents said by telephone. They spoke on condition of anonymity over fears for their safety.

U.S. and Iraqi forces seized the western part of Baqouba last month and had been expected to mount a major offensive to drive al-Qaida in Iraq and other insurgents from the rest of the city, 35 miles north of Baghdad. The Islamic State of Iraq, a front group for al-Qaida in Iraq, has declared Baqouba as its capital.

Sunni extremists were believed to be moving out of Baqouba in anticipation of a U.S. attack, seeking shelter with friendly tribes to the north and east.

This is no different than when the Nazis kept up the mass murders of Jews in concentration camps up to the last minute of the war in WW II. Fascists are like that. Even in defeat they must continue to lash out and kill. It is what they are.

But the question for America is what are we? We started this effort to show the Middle East there was a better, peaceful alternative to Islamo Fascists. And now the Iraqi street is taking arms against al-Qaeda we have the opportunity to make good on our promise. The Surrendercrats are more than willing to sacrifice Arab, Muslim lives for political power here in the US. But Americans are not ready to go that far. The fact is we are fighting our enemy on the front THEY declared the main field in this conflict of cultures. And we really only need to gut out this last stage as we chase these people from Iraq. Listen to the generals in Iraq, not those wetting their pants in DC out of fear:

A SENIOR commander launched an 8,000-troop offensive against al-Qa’ida in southern Baghdad yesterday with a warning that operations to quash Iraq’s insurgents need to be sustained at today’s levels until next spring.

US forces, under the command of Major General Rick Lynch and backed by Iraqi allies, carried out pre-dawn airborne raids on insurgent strongholds south of the capital at the start of operation Marne Avalanche. The objective is to disrupt the flow of terrorists and vehicle-borne bombs into Baghdad.

Marne Avalanche is the latest in a succession of campaigns on the capital’s periphery, designed to ensure the “surge” of 28,000 additional US forces in central Iraq is not derailed by spectacular violence.

Gen Lynch made clear that commanders on the ground reject the chorus coming from those calling for withdrawal from Iraq.

The up-and-coming commander has been in charge of a key battleground, one of a handful where the surge will be won or lost, since March. He said he had identified four terrorist safe havens in his command area.

“It’s going to take us through the summer and fall to deny the enemy his sanctuaries,” he said.

“And then it’s going to take us through the first of the year and into the spring.” He said he had given local residents his word that the US military would restore order before handing over to an Iraqi force capable of defending the civilian population.

“What they’re worried about is our leaving,” he said.

al-Qaeda has only one hope in Iraq and that is the Surrendercrats and SurrenderMedia stop Bush from finishing the job we voted him to start. And he will finish most of it before he leaves office. Those who would work for us to lose, now that we have chased al-Qaeda from their sanctuaries simply because they kill innocent people while the retreat are the ones who should be ashamed. Ashamed to let killers dictate our policies based on how many bodies they can get on the news each night.

The Senators can stay up all night adding more CO2 to the already hot air around DC. But they are irrelevant fools. al-Qaeda is losing ground and it is time we simply agreed we will not leave until they are defeated. Then let the armchair fingerpointing begin. No one cares anyway about how we got here. We just need to finish what we started and we can’t do that by playing into al-Qaeda’s bloody PR games.

I am watching the streaming coverage of the debate tonight and if the blogs don’t tear to pieces some of the incorrect data the Dems are presenting tonight it can only be because there are so many areas that you would have to pick which ones you would want to debunk

I can honestly say I completely ignored them. Heard that song before. And if I ignored them, I am sure most average people who do not live and breathe this stuff did the same.

They can come up with all the data they want, but it is obvious that if we just run away from Iraq, not only will the Iraqis suffer…but our word will be meaningless and no one will respect or fear us again. Why wouldn’t they come here and launch attacks? After all, we will have proven we are not up to the fight.

They might as well hang a Come and Get It sign at the Statue of Liberty.
