Deportation Madness

Published by at 9:33 am under All General Discussions,Illegal Immigration

The wife of a man who may have given his life in the defense of this nation while fighiting in Iraq is now facing deportation because they tried to do the right thing and become legal.

he wife of a soldier missing in Iraq could face deportation, her lawyer told a television station.

Army Spec. Alex Jimenez, who has been missing since his unit was attacked by insurgents in Iraq on May 12, had petitioned for a green card for his wife, Yaderlin, whom he married in 2004, Boston’s WBZ-TV reported Tuesday.

Their attorney, Matthew Kolken, said Yaderlin illegally entered the United States from the Dominican Republic in 2001. Her husband’s request for a green card and legal residence status for her alerted authorities to her situation, Kolken said.

Welcome to the real world madness of the current laws. The amnesty hypochondriacs will cheer this ridiculous action because of course, even though her husband gave his life for this country, this women must be kicked out of the country before she can spoil our nation with her uncleanliness and disease. It doesn’t matter her husband, who may be dead, saw a beautiful woman and a partner for life. All that matters (a) we boot this criminal out and (b) we stop the bill in Congress which would focus instead on booting out convicted hardened criminals. What is really insane is these people were trying to correct their situation. And for their efforts (and his sacrifice) we show them the door. With a dead husband our response to her is to ‘get out’.

Pathetic. And what signal does this send others? Stay hidden. Stay underground. Don’t trust America. Again, let me quote a GOP hothead to let him communicate his feelings to this poor woman:

I know that it is too hard for you to comprehend, but it is not doing this country any good to sit by while another entire nation walks in and squats in our living room. You mention “all of the people who immigrated here just trying to make a living.” You left out one word – ILLEGALLY. See AJ, you seem to have no concept of this nation having the right to choose who comes here.

This heated rhetoric is aimed at everyone here illegally. The wife of this soldier is ‘squatting’ in this guy’s living room. He wants her out. That is why heated rhetoric is so bad. But the GOP hypochondriacs don’t care. Their hate and anger makes them oblivious to the full spectrum of humanity caught up in this mess. This is the same person who lashed out at all the supporters of President Bush’s efforts on this matter. No surprise there. Of course they seem upset I use their words to illustrate the corrosive nature of their views and positions. But this is how the body politic cures itself of disease – it opens it up to the light of day in a hope some fresh air can cleanse it. Instead of worrying about how I use their words it would be better for them to show some self control and respect for others.

Yes, ditto that. Back when I was still listening to Rush he used to say: Words mean things.

Not anymore. Illegal means nothing really. Sorry for his choosing someone who broke the law getting here. Not wise for someone who takes an othe to Defend the laws and the Constitution of this Country. Obviously, he believes in Living, breathing, bending laws and Constitutions. So, I guess words don’t mean things.

AJ, fails to point out others who are here illegally killing Americans everyday. Yesterday, a 4 time arrested Drunk Alien killed a Woman in Tennessee. He was 3 times over the legal limit. Never faced deportation, till now. Like I’ve said before, we only get serious AFTER they Kill.

Then there are the Fires they set in our National Parks. Not a peep here.
The 25 Million Tons of trash, not a peep here.

We can’t even do passports for Americans, but we can do a massive Amnesty Plan.
Then he points to Polls that are done by Liberals as proof Americans want this. Come to Charlotte, ask some people here what they think.

Colorado has 15,000 Aliens in their State Prisons, the Fed’s ignore this too.

I understand your trying to tug at peoples Heart Strings. Fine ands Dandy, but She broke the law. If we are a Nation of Laws, then they must be followed. If we do not follow them, we end up with situations that we can not, or will not control. Like we have now.

I thank him for his service to Our Country, he has done what 99% of the population will not do. That is Honerable. He may have given the ultimate sacrafice. But I fail to see why that entitles him or her to ignore laws they do not like. Obviously, at this Blog, not all laws are ment to be enforced.
Time to go, I’m sure my law and order post will be hated by most.
Should all Military Personell who marry Illegal Aliens be exempt from the laws on the books now?
    Or is it just MIA’s?
    Where does it stop?
I have to go into work early. Take Care Folks, enjoy your day.

Perhaps we can let all those people out of jail who had a parent that died in WWII, Korea or Vietnam. After all, their parents served this nation and that should be enough reason to let them violate our laws, shouldn’t it?

…this women must be kicked out of the country before she can spoil our nation with her uncleanliness and disease…

AJ, if you believe people against this bill believe that, then you’re as silly as they come.

    smill,

I just apply their heated rhetoric to the realworld examples of illegal immigrants at hand. Recall the Free Republic posts? Let me remind you what proponents have to say about people like this woman. See here and here.

Oh well, I did not say these things. I simply remind people that behind the vile caricatures are real people. Maybe the far right should stop throwing stones from their shattered glass houses?

    stevevvs :

Yes I know about the illegals that committ crimes. But as we pointed out there are many illegals doing the exact opposite. We want balance that is all.

The Law is made to serve us not serve it. THis blind adherence to the letter and not tempering it with Justice and Mercy makes a mockery of LAW. It does not support it

A few lessons here. I am finding the people that think this is all ok incredibly naive about politics. This situation will be repeated as immigrant Soliders and soilders that have immediate family in this situation are fighting , getting wounded and dying. How in the hell is that going to llok on TV and the papers. Not well. THe Hispanic community and what other community that sees this will go ballastic. The American people will not like it either I am very willing to bet and it will all be associated with us.

People here need to learna lesson. IN the 90’s a man by the name of David Duke ran in Louisiana. Very nasty and diversive campaign. He got the majority of the white vote. Yet today it is almost impossible to find someone that admitted they voted for him. That is often the case with Edwin Edwards too I find. The point is this. People in the heat of moment might endorse something when emotions are high. But later when people realize it is folly they do a wonderful job of distancing themselves from it. Who is left? The politicians that pandered to the mob and the emotion and the fear. Except most of those folks are gone.

Everyone before they scream for Deportation should look at this page
    http://www.eagletribune.com/punews/eaglelocalnews_story_136125347.html

Real people real lives that are not summed up in the term “illegal”

I have sent the following email to the conservatives that participate in the NRO Corner blog. I ask that people send something like this to them and to other bloggers and people that are represenative of the conservative and Republican movement

“Wife of Mass. soldier missing in Iraq faces deportation, attorney says
    http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/military/20070619-2214-missingsoldier-wife.html

This is a page that has complied all the articles about him and his family. As you can tell this is a real issue in the community
    http://www.eagletribune.com/punews/eaglelocalnews_story_136125347.html

I think it would do much for the conservative cause in this debate that people realize that even conservatives that oppose the bill realize that Law must be tempered with Justice and Mercy. So if you can fit this in when yall do a another “Pardon Libby” post that would be great.

Stevevvs, just for the record, you are a despicable piece of (obscene scatological reference).

  12. Bikerken says:

It is so typical of liberals to use someone who had something terrible happen in there life to justify changing the entire country to fit them. That is what is really despicable. Life is always an emotional response and any dissent to the proposal because of that emotion is always hate. You people are sorry excuses for adults.

  13. Bikerken says:

And I would like to point out that I, me, the VILE one, actually proposed a program for illegals who would honorably serve four years in our military to become automatic citizens after their service with their immediate family, with the family staying here while the military member served. I would not have this woman kicked out of the country but her case is not the case of 12 million people here nor does it mean that we should throw open the border out of some assinine emotional response.

  14. AJStrata says:

    Bikerken,

I did forget that fact – thanks for reminding everyone of your sound idea. Too bad most people only hear the vile parts now.

  15. Bikerken says:

Vile to you and the 15% in your corner, common sense to the rest of us.

  16. SallyVee says:

A.J. I just saw this story covered on Brit Hume. The most horrifying thing was the “talking head” was John F. Kerry — saying exactly what I was dearly, dearly hoping to have heard a Republican — any Republican say! John Kerry said he’d already filed papers in behalf of the woman and said it was obvious to him that the wife of an MIA deserves special consideration and should not be deported. Correct.

Because it was on FoxNews, I am betting that they tried to find a Pubbie to speak about this case. But where was the Pubbie speaking up?

    I am sick.

  17. stevevvs says:

    1. He is not an immigrant.
    2. His wife is not one either
A friend at work, who I sent a link to this discussion sent me this reply:

When I was in the Navy, if I wanted to marry a foreign national, I had to put in a request to be allowed to marry,
and wait for my future wife to have a thorough backround check performed. I wonder if this guy did the same, or if its even required anymore. If so, did he do it the right way, or just decide which laws he wanted to follow and which he didn’t feel like following?

If we let this one thru, what is to stop others from trying the same thing. Perhaps falling for an Iraqi, and smuggling her in.
We had 3 National Guardsmen busted for running a smuggling ring. Should we let them off too? The Military has to maintain high standards. It has to be a highly DISCIPLINED Environment.

Perhaps some do not realize this.
John Kerry is now involved, how ironic!
