Standing Tall For Life

Published by at 8:37 am under All General Discussions,Stem Cell Debate

President Bush (or President Jorge to his GOP bretheren) is standing tall on another critical issue – life. He is going to veto a bill that would provide for harvesting young human beings for the spare parts. Spare parts lying dormant as blue prints inside the stem cells of their young bodies. And even though scientist could use ape and primate stem cells to do their research and unlock the triggers which make stem cells transform into a needed target cell like nuerons or kidney cells, etc. they have been pushing to bypass this normal medical step because to them embryos are a resource to exploit – not a human being. Real scientists have worked out ways to transform skin cells in mice to become stem cells (something that they COULD NOT do on humans first), thus alleviating the need for any embryos, creating a way to produce vast quantities of stem cells embryo based resource could never match. But the ghouls of science keep finding willing partners on capitol hill to ignore animals and adult stem call paths. And why would anyone on Capitol Hill go out on a limb like this? Is it possible that there is the promise of big bucks in the utilization of humans for spare parts? You bet there is! Money can make all sorts of things happen in Congress. Combined with desperation the two make a powerful siren song for the weak at heart.

    AJ,
I applaud you for seeing through the haze on this issue. It takes courage to be an ethical humanist at a time when big money, big media and big academia are anti-human.
