Giuliani Express Motors On

Mayor Giuliani continues to garner wide support:

n a head-to-head matchup, Giuliani’s lead over McCain is now 23 points, 52 percent to 29 percent, which equals its February level. A month ago, Giuliani’s advantage was down to 9 points.

In effect, the natural right of center tendency of the population is settling away from the extreme partisans right and left. I think the games the liberal democrats are playing with our fighting men and women in harms way has really crippled the Democrats. But that is not going to equate into a move to the far right either.

The one wild card is Fred Thompson who could be a powerful figure in the 2008 Presidential Race. Sen Thompson is out today demonstrating his fiscal conservative bone fides on tax cuts and economic growth. But these are the easy issues for conservatives. His future will be determined on his positions on Iraq, Immigration Reform and Embryonic Stem Cell Research. At the moment his positions are not well known, but if he picks the right mix he could give Rudy a run for his money. But it has to be a fine tuned mix so as to retain the broadly accepted conservative positions but give people confidence he is not a partisan who cannot create accomplishment. We have witnessed the Dems fail all year pver partisan extremist positions, as the Reps did all last year. More of the same will kill any and all opportunity with the center of America.

BTW: it is not even close which economy is stronger, Bush’s or Clinton’s. As Thompson notes:

In fact, Treasury statistics show that tax revenues have soared and the budget deficit has been shrinking faster than even the optimists projected. Since the first tax cuts were passed, when I was in the Senate, the budget deficit has been cut in half.

Remarkably, this has happened despite the financial trauma of 9/11 and the cost of the War on Terror. The deficit, compared to the entire economy, is well below the average for the last 35 years and, at this rate, the budget will be in surplus by 2010.

That trauma of 9-11 includes wars in Iraq and Afghanistan – and yet the Bush economy has surpassed the Clinton economy in many ways. So while Clinton rode a wave of economic abundancy (which he let fall into recession in his last year) Bush has built an economic powerhouse in the face of historically tough times. Not even a close question who has the economy bragging rights.

Well, the dims want to change all that. They have a bill in the works for raising taxes. Bush will veto any and all of this. The media and the dims have done their best to keep the good economy from the people. All they harp on is gas prices. As if the Bush administration had any control over this. But they will turn and twist all facts against this administration and cannot let the people know how successful the Bush tax cuts have been for this country.

All the dims are good for is showboating on their committess in their quest for “oversight” of the executive. They are infringing on the executive and trashing the Constitution in their desire for revenge.

They are so totally stupid they think we have not seen through them and see the dims thinking since they won perjury and obstruction charges against Libby that they can do it again and again with Bush administration personnel in their stupid little gamesmanships.

Right now I am in favor of Guilani but if Thompson runs I will then have to make a choice. Either one would be acceptable but I am not enamoured with any of the other candidates. However, I will vote for any republican because they all want to fight the war on terror. The dims don’t even believe there is a war on terror. At least that is what they say now in their BDS mode. However, bottom line is that I don’t trust the dims to protect this country.

John Edwards, married to accomplished attorney Elizabeth Edwards, thrashes thrice-married, twice-divorced Rudy Giuliani, whose popularity is hindered by his adulterous, ill-educated wife, Judy Nathan.

Nathan, who holds a 2-year degree from a podunk school in Pennsylvania, married her second husband just 5 days after divorcing her first husband. After getting her claws into Rudy, she attempted to move into Gracie Mansion (the tax-payer provided mayoral home in NYC) while Rudy’s present wife and children STILL lived there. This is th4e woman Rudy wants to sit in on cabinet mjeeting. It is as if Bill Clinton had divorced Hillary, married Monica, and wanted Monica to serve as presidential advisor (except, of course, Monica had a 4-year degree).

    The polling from Rasmussen says:

Democrat John Edwards holds the upper hand over two prospective Republican presidential nominees in the United States, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports. 49 per cent of respondents would support the former North Carolina senator in 2008, while 43 per cent would vote for former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani.

In a separate contest, Edwards holds a 14-point edge over actor and former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson.

    Soothie,

When did you turn into a crusading moralist whose litmus test is how many people were in the candidate’s bedroom?

LOL! You sound like an Islamic Prude Dude. So, where do you stand on the adulterer meter??
