GOP GOTV Machine In High Gear
The Dems and James Webb are not going to like to see the news that voter turnout is setting records in the absentee voting phase of the VA election. This can only mean the GOP’s Get Out The Vote (GOTV) is working strong. Granted, it means the Dem GOTV is probably working too, but we have been saying for a while the polls’ turnout models have been heavily skewed to the Dems in anticipation that Reps would sit this round out. Not happening. BTW, contrary to what the story says, Northern VA is about evenly split. It also hosts the Pentagon and a dozen or more military facilities – so the military vote is going to be large here.
I really hope the Republicans will get out and vote. I have for years kept up with politics and feel that I am reasonably knowledgeable about it. It is a big interest to me and I really resent that my vote can be cancelled out with a pack of cigarettes or by some dead person.
