Iraqis Fighting Back Against Al Qaeda

Published by at 10:41 am under All General Discussions,Iraq

Reader Lawryn pointed me to this interesting article on events in Iraq. It seems the Iraqis are fed up with Al Qaeda and sending them packing, which is consistent with the Al Qaeda letter to Zarqawi that describes a backlash against Al Qaeda. Good news from Iraq, and of course it is not being shown on our sex-obsessed news media. Typical.

“Red-on-red” has been going on in Iraq for well over a year, though the MSM has been loathe to report it.

    Here’s an article from 4/7/05:

Yes but how does Strata deal with the Guardian mention of the
fact that native Sunni attacks on US occupiers have not decreased even though it as a whole has been using part of its fighting power against Al Qaida?

  3. The Macker says:

    Ken,
You missed the main thrust of the article. Then ,to underscore your bias, you changed the words “US led coalition” to “US occupiers.” The naysayers have always been a drag on this country.

  4. Ken says:

Macker, you’re in denial. Under the terms of the Geneva Convention the US is occupying Iraq. But perhaps you wish to annex it.

Strata took the main thrust of the article as positive. But a little
political calculus hints that growing numbers of native Sunnis
want Al Qaida out of Iraq, and eventually INTO America.

  5. The Macker says:

    Ken ,
    • “But perhaps you wish to annex it.”- A totally gratuitous comment.

    • Strata was right. The article was positive.

•Your “political calculus” is right. It is better to fight the terrorists there than in America.

You’re still at the arithmetic level, Macker. The new Iraq
government is likely to help them come to America as they
    edge them out of Iraq.
