Iranian From Canada Training At US Flight School

Published by at 12:38 pm under All General Discussions,Bin Laden/GWOT

Want to know how bad the bureaucracy of the federal government is? If a news report that an Iranian who is on the terrorist watch list was found to be taking flight lessons doesn’t get you upset, then how about the fact we cannot deport this person because he holds a Canadian passport!

n a handful of other cases, according to officials, foreign nationals have been able to enroll in flight schools and receive pilot training without any TSA approval.

One FAA inspector described the case of an Iranian on a terror watch list who was discovered training at a flight school in the South.

“He was training illegally, he had no TSA approval of any kind and we just happened to stumble across him,” the FAA inspector told ABC News.

The Iranian was removed from flight training, according to the inspector, but could not be deported because he had a valid Canadian passport.

Don’t go screaming about how Bush should be held responsible. This is clearly low level bureaucrats ‘interpretting’ the regulations as they see fit. When you have bureaucrats leaking NIE’s to the media for political, partisan purposes, then what makes anyone think there are not more subtle subervsions going on in the government? The liberals and their activists in key positions are playing games with our lives people. Time to shut them down and throw them out of government.

Update: Clarice Feldman has more on for partisan effect on our national elections. There are few worse abuses of power than trying to use a position to influence an election. It is wrong whether it is done by a President, a cabinet Secretary or a CIA agent or State Department official. The fact the media enables and supports these acts illustrates their biases and low standards. In addition to charging these leakers with crimes, the government should revoke press credentials of serial abusers like the NY Times until they can show they can act responsibly.

Update: More here at NRO on the now regularly scheduled illegal activities at State and the CIA>

The bureaucratic idiots in the Pentagon, CIA, and State Department are just taking a page from the former “liar in chief”!! Behold:

I found this little gem in response to the “claim” by Clinton, in the interview with Wallace on Fox, that no one knew much about bin Laden at that point or suspected his complicity when the black hawk down incident occured in Somalia. Not a soul, he said! Bull sh*t!

    …..

But, according to a detailed account of the operational planning of that attack in Yossef Bodansky’s “Bin Laden: The Man Who Declared War on America,” the massacre was actually the result of a well-planned, well-executed ambush by terrorist forces overseen by Osama bin Laden and supported by the governments of Sudan, Iraq and Iran…

[by the way, anyone want to convince me that Iraq had nothing to do with Osama bin Laden? See above from BEFORE the war in Iraq…TEN YEARS BEFORE!]

…On Oct. 3, 1993, U.S.-U.N. forces learned about the presence of two of Aidid’s senior foreign policy advisers, Osman Salah and Muhammad Hassan Awali, at the Olympic Hotel. Quickly, a helicopter assault of 100 American troops was under way. The two were captured, as well as 22 other Aidid supporters.

But as the U.S. troops prepared to leave, they were caught in a well-organized ambush by more than 1,000 guerrillas. Two helicopters were shot down and a third crash-landed at Mogadishu’s airport. The U.S. troops established a perimeter around the crash site, but found themselves surrounded and under heavy fire for 11 hours.

In that firefight, 18 American troops were killed, 78 were wounded and one helicopter pilot was captured.

The next day, the guerrillas celebrated a great victory over America – dragging the bodies of the U.S. servicemen through the streets of Mogadishu.

But it was hardly a force of rag-tag Somalian rebels that had trapped the Americans. The intelligence tip received by U.S. forces about the presence of Aidid’s men was the setting of a trap by a combination of Islamicist forces directed by bin Laden and his top lieutenant, Ayman al-Zawahiri. The ensuing ambush was conducted by hard-core battle-hardened Arab “Afghans” and Iraqis. The main strike force consisted of troops trained by Iran and Iraq. Aidid’s forces were introduced later in large numbers to create the appearance of an enraged mob of Somalians taking revenge on U.S. forces.

That just about says it all. The run-up to 9/11 is full of liberal double-speak and wishful thinking. They’ve been a government within a government for a long time now, outside of government, they’ve metastasized into an out-and-out fifth column.

Are there no lists of exactly who has access to what in terms of classified information? Is there no way to compare lists of, say, those with access to NIE report information, those with access to “secret foreign prison” information, and those with access to ‘foreign-domestic electronic monitoring’ information to see how many and what common denominators pop up?

Or has “need to know” become in practical application “just idle curiosity,” so that any access list is completely meaningless?

What you are dealing with is government bloat. Even a program as small and as closely held as ABLE DANGER had at the peak over 500 people
“read into” the program. And this with only a handful of people actually researching the data.

Dead on. And they all have civil service protection, which means it is almost impossible to fire them. Many of the “senior” personnel slithered into civil service positions from political jobs and continue to wage partisan warfare–although they are not qualified for the positions theyhold. Incidentally, it’smy opinion that other incompetent ex-political “career” bureaucrats were the real reason for delays in responding to Katrina–they simply didn’t have a clue. The first step should be to eliminate civil service protection for all GS14’s and above, and to prosecute all leaks of classified data seeking maximum penalties.

What we are dealing with is the deliberate taking over of our government by Clintonistas hired on during Algore’s reinventing government thing. Remember when big Al reinvented government by buying out, with big bonuses (some reported to be $100,000 to $300,000) and generous early retirement benefits, old line career civil servants and replaced them with Clintonista loyalists, who didn’t have to be the best qualified because they used Affirmative Action to redress past sins of our forefathers, and hire whoever they wanted to? Nobody even questioned what they were doing. I am not even sure Congress authorized them to spend all that taxpayer money in their buyouts. Every agency of our government is saturated with these traitors who are more loyal to the Clintons and their ideals and/or goals, than to their country. All these leaks could be coming from any one of the hundreds of thousands of loyal Clintonistas who now have their noses under the tents of every agency and department of the government. And they are all protected by the Civil Service laws. It will be 50 years before we will get rid of them through attrition. By that time we may not have the same kind of government we have now.

If you want to know where they found all these traitors , they were recruited from all these national dissident 501(c)(3)’s which were organized by the militant radicals from the 60’s Peace and Civil Rights movements. (FBI) who’s stated aim is to unite all dissident groups and empower them to overthrow the government. Example: Remember Craig Livingstone, the thug with the FBI files on all the Republicans? He was recruited from FarmAid. FarmAid was organized by a woman who says she went to law school and worked in the civil rights movement with Hillary Rhodam Clinton. The last time I was in her multi story house in Boston, 1990 or 1991, the whole bottom floor was stacked full of professionally made “No Blood for Oil” signs.

In addition to having infiltrated and entrenched themselves into every nook and cranny of the government, they are in positions to dole out grants and “consulting contracts and fees” from our tax money to dissident organizations which work with and support our enemies. Some of these organizations have bragged that they have permanent fudning built into some agency budgets. When Bush (1) left office most of these organizations were near bankrupcty. Most were operating out of one office in Washington DC. When Clinton left office they were awash in money and have been ever since. They have branch offices in every state and fund bus loads of demonstrators for the big “rent a mob” actions. Aren’t you guys surprised to know that the taxpayers are paying for most of our problems?

The only way to solve this problem is to check every person who was employed to replace one of the bought out early retirees, and require them to take a lie detctor test. Good luck. Who has the balls or the money?

Thank you, Merlin. OK, my solution would be a new set of dentures:

Maintaining security and tracking access on ANY classified data becomes the total responsibility of the guy at the top of its chain; polygraphs automatic on everyone given access if something leaks, and any top guy who had found it necessary to share the secret(s) with anyone absent a demonstrable ‘need to know’ loses his/her own security clearance, is held liable for leaks along with the leakers, and takes a career change to the private sector.

Getting rid of the bloat is important, because of the inherent bureaucratic rigidity that prevails in those circumstances and because of the huge waste of tax money; it’s a lot of money, but it’s ONLY money. The crucial thing is to get a handle on the sensitive information and plug the leaks. It would be a nice bonus to see some of those jackals behind bars, but fixing the problem should be a priority.

Another point is that liberals have effectivly taken control over many high dollar foundations and are now doing things with those funds that has to have the original person who endowed those funds spinning in their graves.

Even Henry Ford lamented this trend before he passed.
