The Lieberman Loss

Published by at 8:31 am under All General Discussions,Leiberman-Lamont

Sorry folks, but meetings take priority so blogging will remain light for another day or two. Joe Lieberman lost his primary in a very close race which illustrates the schism that is going to be front and center in this year’s elections. On one side of this divide are the democrats who remain strongly pro-US and understand that the single priority this country must face is Islamo Fascism. On the other side of the divide are the delusionists. These people believe the essence of America, her success and influence, her wealth and intellectual property, are why people have a right and duty to attack us. They feel guilty for what we have accomplished (though it is probable they themselves had little to nothing to do with the accomplishments) and feel we should reconsider all we have done and gone through. I am not sure where these people lost their bearings, but one thing is clear. Their priority is impeaching Bush, and if we have to lose all we have fought for in the ME to accomplish this goal so be it.

Lieberman’s loss exposes the basic parity these two groups have inside the Democratic party. The problem is this is not some minor issue. It is a divisive issue which, as Bush once said about terrorism, requires people to decide whether they are for us (America) or against us. The far left clearly wants a new America in the caricacture image of liberalism. They see the world in a naive Nirvana which doesn’t even exist on TV much anymore. They feel we can simply talk sense into the nonesense that is Islamo-Fascism, if only America would change its way. But what the left wants to change is the essence of America. Our pride at being independent, our pride in being successful without a lot of government help, our can-do spirit. We are not perfect, but we are darn worthy.

Lieberman will go on to win and create one of many ‘independents’ who supposedly reflect the Democrat party in Congress. This is just the beginning. Because the far left will not be happy with the lack of universal support for Lamont and his pending loss. Then the civil war on the left will become red hot.

But But wait a minute here AJ, aren’t the “has been ten” of the dems been the “voice of amerika”?

I mean they are for real, like the WWF aren’t they?

Come on AJ , don’t tell me I gotta start peeling bannas with my left hand instead of my right.

Aj the left doesn’t want the caricature, they want France or Italy, they want the EU reduced fat world view.

Ronald Regan once told the dems that they had not left their party, that their party had left them.

    Don’t ya hate summer reruns?

Just checked back at Newsbusters and several other “radical right wing conspiracy” sites and saw all the fluff and buff sawdown of the “Libermonster” afront to humanity tour.

I note their entire agnostic attitude to the NYT walking dead man fiasco.

Yuppers that’s the Cair and Balanced media fer ya.

If you are gonna keep up that attitude, I may get the impression that you would have the audiciaty to play “Sweet Home Alabama” with yer boom box the next time you go to see “The man from Lamancha”

    Tsk Tsk

    Shame on you!

The Left is doing to Lieberman what they did to Nader in 2004 – trying to suppress the rights of the voter so their candidate will win.

I cringe the most when they make noises about how they “support the troops”. They’ve convinced themselves such support means never putting them in harm’s way and sweetening their benefits.

Last night Lamont said, “Let’s bring them home and have the victory parade they deserve!”. That’s their world view in a nutshell: Vote for the war, oppose what it takes to win, cut out when it gets tough, then celebrate victory regardless of the outcome.

    Through the wardrobe………

Lighten up, Charles. Merlin’s ribbing, he wasn’t insulting you.

Although, I hafta agree with you on the boombox thing.

  10. MerlinOS2 says:

Charles I am sorry if you missed the point of my comment, MerryJ1 has it correct, I was supporting you straightforward and clear commentary.

I guess it was a poor example of contrasting your straightforward approach with the more triangulated tactics of the left.

    Thanks for the support lady!

As a means of my showing of appreciation, you have the choice of the following

    1) Yer favorite selection at yer local Starbucks for one month

    2) Yer fulfillment of yer “it’s on my list” choice at Victoria’s Secrets to “enhance yer closeness and linkage with yer significant other”

    3) A donation to the “Charity of Choice”, as long as it is not under Justice Department investigation.

Not to worry , it ain’t coming from me, I bought George Soros’s credit card info off a Russian fishing site. Or maybe it was from the Veteran’s Administration veteran data loss of the month club website, I can’t remeber which.

    Editors Note

This is satire , please regard it in that manner, even though I have been certifed by posts on the Democratic Underground website that I am a neocon a$$pimple zit on the a$$ of humanity.

What they missed in all that, is I don’t care what they think about me, and that makes it very very hard for them to cope with that.

Having said all that, I thank you lady, and wish you the best.
