A Failed Culture Of Sex
Hollywood makes money off of exploitation. Don’t kid yourself – it is a business and its product is getting its consumers in a heightened state of emotion. It can do that by pulling at the heart strings by showing the heavy drama of a dying child, or it can do that through sexual queues that send the brains pleasure chemicals cascading away. To do that it needs to use images to replicate the feelings it wants to create. And over the years since TV’s debut the desensitizing of the mind has forced Hollywood to create more and more extreme images to get the same response. The chemicals that push the mind into one state or another can lose their potency and create an addiction like any drug.
Why this big lead in? Well the result of 40+ years of ramping up the mind juice voltage is that we have sent some people over the edge. These are the victims of a sex-driven media that has to put sexual innuendo into a reasonably good kids movies and basically spoil a good story (I am referring specifically to “Dr. Doolittle 3” where some fool decided to sprinkle 3rd grade level sexual jokes throughout the entire move). And recall why the media does this. It wants to produce the most potent and powerful mind candy so it can make the most money.
Drudge has a sick case in point to show the extreme of this (though Jeffrey Dhalmer may still be the apex of this fallout). It seems some whack job is declaring he has established a religion of ‘sex with young boys’ and therefore he cannot be held to account for the 74 rapes of young children he admits doing:
Appearing in an Ohio court for a pretrial hearing, Phillip Distasio, 34, of Rocky River, Ohio, said he was a pedophile.
He told the judge, “I’m a pedophile. I’ve been a pedophile for 20 years. The only reason I’m charged with rape is that no one believes a child can consent to sex. The role of my ministry is to get these cases out of the courtrooms.”
Distasio, a self-professed pagan friar, is representing himself on 74 charges. He said he’s the leader of a church called Arcadian Fields Ministries, and that some of his congregants are among the victims in his case.
Face it folks. This is a product of our modern society. We need to think hard and long about how we got here and how to step back from the brink.
I wonder if Ohio could cut a deal with the GRU to borrow a blast furnace… this guy shouldn’t be breathing.

I am REALLY sick of the attacks on our souls… cynicism, gutter media, etc. ENOUGH!
Welllll, I don’t know. I have never believed that violence in movies or video games CAUSES people to do these things, so I think that might apply to sex also. I could change my mind on this, but I’ve never really seen any evidence that it’s true.
Here’s my reasoning. There was sexual violence(crimes) before either movies, television or video games. What caused it back then? I have been hearing all my life that the violence and bad things on tv caused people to duplicate these things. I don’t really believe that. I was in the first generation that grew up with television, getting one in 1948 when I was 8 years old. I saw cowboys shooting other cowboys. I never shot a cowboy. I’ve seen more and more sex crimes on tv. I never committed a sex crime. Now let me hypothesize: If I was gonna rape a woman and I saw a rape on tv, I might do it the same way, but I was gonna do it anyhow. So, how does the movie business or tv cause this guy in Ohio to be a pedophile? Correct answer, of course, is that it didn’t. He was born a pedophile and will die a pedophile. Why do so many people claim that sexual proclivity is born into a person “I was born homosexual” and not believe pedophilia was born into a person? I don’t know if it is, or isn’t. By that, I mean, that I do believe some homosexuals are born that way and some are homosexual because they learned to be. Not unlike an alcoholic. There are certainly at least two types of alcoholics, one that has a genetic defect that will not allow their body to handle alcohol, and, two: a person that has drunk so much alcohold that their body has become addicted to it. I suspect that may be true of other body functions, such as sexuality. I don’t know how or why a human wiring may be so screwed up that it makes them pedophiles, but if it is, the answer is to separate them from children for the remainder of their life. Maybe adult stem cell research can correct such screwed up wiring in the future, but meanwhile, keep them locked up.
So, I’m saying, I’m not sure if I agree (I don’t necessarily disagree) with AJ on ‘why’ the guy in Ohio did what he did. But I sure do agree that he is one screwed up individual for whatever reason that made him that way. But I’ll repeat that there were people doing those same types of things before movies.
