Saddam’s WMDs Found

Published by at 8:55 am under All General Discussions,Iraq

Seems Saddam’s WMDs have been found in Iraq, and apparently these have been discoverd over the course of last few years:

The United States has found 500 chemical weapons in Iraq since 2003, and more weapons of mass destruction are likely to be uncovered, two Republican lawmakers said Wednesday.

Reading from a declassified portion of a report by the National Ground Intelligence Center, a Defense Department intelligence unit, Santorum said: “Since 2003, coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded mustard or sarin nerve agent.

The article goes on to rightfully comment on the fact chemical weapons can degrade over time. But the fact these weapons are getting old does not alter the fact they exist. More importantly, the report maintains there are more to be found. In a humorous attempt to create a conspiracy theory, some liberal journalist asked:

Asked why the Bush administration, if it had known about the information since April or earlier, didn’t advertise it, Hoekstra conjectured that the president has been forward-looking and concentrating on the development of a secure government in Iraq.

One must ask the corrallary then: why did Democrats go off and ignorantly claim there were no WMDs when evidence has been out there from day one that there was, that it was moved or hidden, and that UN inspectors continued to give a incorrect report on Saddam’s capabilities. But hey, that is just me.

What worries me is the fact these kinds of weapons material are the things we do not want drifting across the Atlantic Ocean and finding their way across our borders. So while Bush and the DoD are doing a good job of stabilizing Iraq and doggedly persuing any WMDs stores (where most liberals would have given up the hunt by now), the GOP Congress has decided to leave our flank wide open.

    Explanation: Russia, Germany and France.

And as always, George is the best at “holding the tension” and letting the rope out as far as it will go before… Zap!

The dems take the bait every time!

And so do the Savage Buchananites, imho.

The real mystery to me is why the 'Bush lied' meme ever gained traction, let alone still exists, because he said little in conflict of what the dhim leadership had been saying for years, right up till after the invasion.
