Don’t have time for a long post with links, but I have to note how President “Hope & Change” has transformed into¬† President “Political Dunce”. Who else would propose higher taxes and fees that hit consumers and the job creators – thus irritating the right and center – and also proposes cuts in entitlements – to irritate the left. Is there anyone this proposal doesn’t push to the ‘reject’ column? As Mark Penn notes this is a recipe for political disaster.

This seems to be more Obama trying to save himself and throwing everyone else in the country (left and right) over board.

Sadly, that is just not a winning plan when a voting booth is involved. One term for sure now.

He is simply trying to pull a Truman strategy.

Send something you can guarantee will be rejected to congress and then run on blaming the ‘do nothing congress’ instead of his record.

Sorry but even Truman couldn’t pull this one out.

I rather agree with Ed Morrissey, writing over at Hot Air. People have wondered whether Obama would quit – Ed argues that he has, in fact, already quit his job as President. All he wants to do is be a fringe candidate that at least a few people will fawn over for a while, rather than actually run anything.

This isn’t him trying to save himself – this is Obama choosing how he goes out. And it’s the mark of how juvenile and yes, fundamentally stupid he is that he’s chosen on the basis of simply what he thinks will be the most fun.

Giving speeches and playing to a radical fanbase will be Fun.

Solving problems? Coming up with hard solutions? Not so Much Fun.

Destroying the Dem Party and everything he supposedly believes in? Who Cares, that happens tomorrow! Fun is Today!

besides, he never really believed in any of that stuff anyways. He never believed in anything, so if it all falls to pieces, why should he care, as long as he has a good time and has adoring fans along the way?

Seriously – after watching this circus for three years now and trying to figure out the endgame, I honestly believe that is all that is going on anymore. We’re being run by an attention deficit disordered 3 year old who honestly does not give a damn about what happens past his next photo op/praise session.

If the next 14 months weren’t going to be so catastrophic for the country, his fall would be quite a bit of fun to watch.

WWS, you are correct sir, as Ed McMahon might say. I think there is a little more to it, all this ‘stock manipulation’ so that he can make tons of money from ‘insider’ information.

I’ve been saying this for quite some time, but VDH does it much better:

    for you, Redteam!

(although I’m pretty sure this is actually Phil Hartman)

Oh, and ZeroHedge has just clued us in to a very popcorn-worthy moment coming up this Friday. Solyndra’s CEO and CFO are scheduled to testify before the House Energy and Commerce Committee – and their attorney’s have already filed notice that they intend to Plead the 5th throughout the questioning.

Oh, how I hope those on the committee play this for all it’s worth! I visualize something like this:

Congressmen: “So, you were aware at the time that you were stealing $500 million from US taxpayers?

Solyndra’s CEO: “On the advice of counsel, I must regretfully plead my 5th amendment rights on the grounds that I may incriminate myself.”

Congressmen: “Did you conspire with members of this administration to carry out this theft?”

Solyndra’s CEO: “On the advice of counsel, I must regretfully plead my 5th amendment rights on the grounds that I may incriminate myself.”

Congressmen: “Did you or anyone under your control kick back a portion of the money you recieved to President Obama’s campaign committee?”

Solyndra’s CEO: “On the advice of counsel, I must regretfully plead my 5th amendment rights on the grounds that I may incriminate myself.”

oh please, please, please ask the right questions!!!

He may have quit but it’s still going to be 17 months until we get rid of him. Things could get ugly, especially now that the fires he lit in the Middle East are starting to smolder.

Everything this cypher has done has been to diminish the US and her allies!
He sees himself not as President of the United States rather as the tool to bring One World Order and Global socialism to the fore.
As Europe collapses his henchmen at Treasury print money like mad to bail them out foreign banks and countries thus diminishing the lifes savings of Americans. The Fed is complicit and has been a disaster or ally in this quest by keeping interest rates low, again robbing the individual of wealth.
Savings mean nothing only commodities can hope to keep pace.
This goes beyond incompetence only by seeing this in a global one world order prism does the purposeful destruction of our vaunted institutions and constitution make sense!
There seems no opposition who sees this or has the cajones to put an end to it.
It is long past time for Impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors, for ignoring judges orders and continuing defacto moratoriums, for by passing congress for rule by czars, agencies and Executive orders.
He lit the fires in Europe and now seeks to light the flames here through his class warfare rhetoric and with his Union thugs leading the way to be blindly piled on by his racists and anarchist flash mobs. Why did he give cell phones to his lazy welfare slackers? All the easier to call them to arms.
This is not incompetence, this is Alinsky inspired Marxist ideology in full battle mode. The sheep and Republican party are too blind to see or too cowardly to admit or do anything about that which is unfolding before their very eyes.
God Help America the enemy is within the gates and seeks to destroy her!

Don’t think for a minute that he’s going to slink away and the Repubs will have a cakewalk to the Presidency.

I’ll wager that “something” will happen at the last possible moment (“family emergency”, appointment to the Illinois Supreme Court, surprise election to Secretary-General of the UN) and suddenly the Dem candidate *WON’T* be Obama. Maybe Hillary, heck, maybe her husband Bill again.

At any rate, all the Repub talking points against Obama will suddenly be moot. Whoever our earnest Republican candidate is, he won’t have been rehearsed on taking effective potshots at the new guy, and the election will be another nail-biter (aided and abetted by legions of walking dead who all happen to vote Democrat).
