The End Of Liberal Credibility

Published by at 9:24 am under All General Discussions

As it always should be, credibility is earned through results and not by claims of superior motives (something the rabid liberal left will never grasp). So it is no surprise to see this crushing poll from Rasmussen regarding the credibility of liberal verses conservative economic approaches:

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters shows that 62% believe cutting taxes is better than increasing government spending when it comes to creating jobs. Twenty percent (20%) say increased government spending does more to create jobs, while nearly the same number (18%) are undecided.

Ignoring the 18% who don’t want to express – or don’t have-  an opinion, the credibility of liberal policies is in shatters at only 20% support. Three times as many people prefer government get out of the economy and leave it to Main Street. That is a damning, but not unexpected, change in the political landscape.

It means if Obama and the Dems continue down their big-government path, and keep shunning American ingenuity and drive to bring us back economically, they will be crushed in 2012. I hate to say this, but here is to hoping the left remain as stubbornly clueless and in denial as they are right now. If they don’t swing to the middle this fall they will implode for decades to come (if not permanently). It is probably better all around they finish their drive off their ideological cliff and end the pretense they still have an iota of viability and credibility.

The Rasmussen poll numbers certainly affirm Perry’s announcement speech and slogan. Putting Americans to work…

Obama told us to “scold the Republican politicians” at their townhall meetings. Little would he know how much their constituents would endorse their positions of spending cuts with no tax hikes and wanting them to do more.

This is after Obama told us to twitter and call the switchboards to tell the Republican politicians how wrong their position is on the debt negotiations! This backfired on Obama.

And the former suggestion will also backfire.

Obama has no cards left to turn the economy around. The only card that’s left is for the government to get out of our way after repealing the majority of the regulations and allowing the private sector to self-regulate itself. But Obama won’t take this card because it doesn’t fit with his socialist and communist ideology. And he knows that if he takes the free market card, he will lose his left base.

And Wisconsin is going to make Obama look worse.

It’s funny that Sarah Palin called Obama a lame duck president (yes, little “p”) just a few weeks ago. There is not much that Obama can do between now until he leaves the office but to go on the campaign road and lie to us.

The establishment are no better. They have kicked the can down the road since the Dems took over and prior to that ran up their own deficits.
Bushs’ drug giveaway opened the door to the socialization of the entire medical industry as it is a very small step from, low cost govt subsidized drugs are a right to low cost govt susidsized medical care is a right!
A new day is upon us, either a conservative liberatatrian approach will save the country or it will crash and burn and those of us who are prepared for just that will rebuild it after the destruction of the nanny state ushered in by generations of 60’s hippies buying votes with Other Peoples Money.
Throw the careerist bums out ALL OF EM!

Obama and his policies have brought this country to our knees. MSM has been delighted to help. They will not let a Republican win an election if they can help it. I’m not optimistic. They, MSM think Obama has not done enough to cripple us. Half of me says just let Obama raise taxes on the billion and million airs who earn $250,000 a year and get it over with. We will sink and Obama will lose and we can move on and maybe burry that damn losing philosophy for another generation.

  5. dhunter says:

Those people making millions and billions and over 250,000 are for the most part business people and as a business person I can tell you I might pay more in tax dollars but I WILL NOT PAY THE TAXES MY CUSTOMERS WILL!
I have a life style to support. I have bills that I MUST pay not kick down the road to someone else.
My taxes go up, my prices go up so I maintain or increase my income to support my lifestyle.
Increasing taxes on millionaires and billionaires is a disingenuous LIE! It increases taxes on most everyone but those guys and stifles the economy thus reducing over all revenues to the Treasury. Proven FACT!

  6. kathie says:

I understand your point dhunter…….but the left doesn’t. That was the point I was trying to make. How to bury the lie forever!

MerlinOS, I keep showing these charts to a strong Obama advocate and he denies these charts even though they are government numbers. He just won’t accept them. PERIOD.

As Obama presides over the retiring as leader of the free world. The first word of this article says it all:

    Bowing.

Meant, retiring of the US as the leader of the free world.

I do agree with most of your article.

“If they don’t swing to the middle this fall they will implode for decades to come (if not permanently)”

This is hard for me to accept. After all, people do change their minds and we all know how views change.

Our republic is in danger like we have not seen in a very long time. If you refer to the loss of the republic, then I can see the permanent part that you speak of.

Or read another way, based on the latest scientific research, the stupidity index in America is at 20% and 18% of people are actually sheep.

Lurker – the person you mention is a delusional fool. We must all see people like this as what they truly are: not are friends, not even as our acquaintences – they are enemies of all of us and of our country who must be crushed if we are to survive.

Someone that far gone can never be persuaded of anything; it would be easier to talk a scientologist out of his beliefs. They can only be defeated.

    Crosspatch,

Great post. I am not suprised. At least they get the upgrade.

Taiwan needs to produce their own fighter. They have the technology and industry.

I keep loving the F-16 it got a good life ahead of it yet. Best U.S fighter since the F-86. F-35 is a big fat Turkey.

wws, I’m afraid you’re right. I finally told him that his intent is to win at all costs. What I didn’t tell him was that for anyone that disagrees with him, he views them with contempt.
