Liberals In West Fountain Of Life For Killings In Iraq

Published by at 2:43 pm under All General Discussions,Iraq

Why should debate end at the waters edge? Because the undermining of a President enacting on a Congressionally authorized action against our enemies can easily be used as a rallying cry to kill us and our allies. The reason the left should have accepted their defeat in the Congress in 2002 is because their inability to deal with their loss has extended the killing beyond what it would have been if they had just learned to deal with losing on the Iraq invasion.

But no. Liberals are best when whining and complaining and defaming. So they have come it with the Murtha surrender plan, the Kerry surrender plan and the constant comparisons to Vietnam (which in context of civil wars not even a pebble to mountain comparison).

Even some Republicans have been pushing to surrender for years (Hagel), while others now, all of a sudden, worry about votes instead of repurcussions (Gingrich the Quitter).

We are in Iraq and we need to this through. I have no respect for quitters once we started something and people died to make it happen. Right now the deaths are dropping off in Iraq, the insurgency is losing its steam and the Iraqi’s are turning on the foreign fighters.

All this spineless handwringing is doing is emboldening our enemies. We ran from Somalia and earned ourselves a reputation as quitters which gave Bin Laden the idea for 9-11. Now we see the results of all the cries of surrender from people not even fighting the war!

Al-Qaida’s deputy leader Ayman al-Zawahri urged all Muslims to support insurgents fighting in Iraq “for the dignity of Islam” and said the “enemy has begun to falter,” according to a video posted Thursday on the Internet.

“The Islamic nation must support the heroic mujahedeen (holy warriors) in Iraq, who are fighting on the very front line for the dignity of Islam,” al-Zawahri said.

“And to my brother mujahedeen in Iraq, I say, Stay firm. Stay together. Your enemy has begun to falter, so don’t stop pursuing him until he flees defeated,” he said.

He called on Muslims to support his “beloved brother” Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who heads al-Qaida in Iraq. “I have lived with him up close, and have seen nothing but good from him,” al- Zawahri said.

Zawahiri is a brutish thug who bombs Jordanian weddings, mosques and beheads innocent civilians. What you get when you lose your nerve in the Mideast is the butcher knife across your throat, with your gurgling screams the last thing you will ever remember in your life. Or the moans of people riding an airliner to certain death. Or the thuds of bodies falling hundreds of feet so they will not be burned alive. That is what you get when you quit in the face of Islamists. We do not get peace. Zarqawi makes that quite clear:

“If we commit to peaceful action, they will demand we adhere to international laws and treaties that mean nothing to them. If we adhere to that, they will ask us to impose constraint on what they call terrorism and war on Israel. Then if we adhere to that, they will demand we recognize Israel and establish normal relations with it,” he said.

They want death. Our deaths. Quitting is not an option being offered up to us, except by people too afraid to face the awful truth. We are in a war of survival. Great nations and states simply faded away because of indifference and apathy. We are not there yet. Because we cannot be apathetic about our children being under the threat of attack by these fanatics their entire lives. Gingrich quit and is now persona non grata as far as I am concerned. Too scared to risk losing a few votes while good people risk losing life and limb to change a world stubborn to change. We are in Iraq. Everyone just needs to face reality.
