Voted a traight R ticket for the first time in my life. Not even a Dem for dogcatcher. Unopposed Dems, I ignored. The initiative were the only things I checked the voters pamphlet on.

On yesterdays trip to town… I polled the population…

From Donna at her Champagne Taste (haircuts- $10.oo)… Best regular boy’s haircuts in Alaska … and … fusses over you so you feel special …
    .
Donna’s church & hundreds of customers… No one voting for McAdams… Even split between Murkowski/Miller…
    .
    Sol’s cafe … (8) Miller … (2) Murkowski …
    Walmart … (6) Miller … (6) Murk …
Three Bears … The lady went the extra mile and cooked an extra dozen macadamia nut cookies but we only bought nine due to our socialist tendencies of wanting to leave something for others and spread the wealth … The check-out lady was secretive …

    (12) not voting …
    .
    (8) giving some variation of “Mind your own business, a**H***”
    .
    (4) apparently mute people but my official poll officially lists their stare as … “Drop Dead”

Voted at noon in a VA district with no real contests. Pretty good turnout for a midterm.

AJ, what was the number up to? Or did you not look close enough?

  5. AJStrata says:

    above 600 at noon

cold and rainy here in Texas. Of course I voted a couple of weeks ago. Since early voting is quite easy here, it could be that we have a high early voting turnout and lower election day turnout. That’s just a guess, of course, but if so I think the more highly motivated voters would dominate the vote.
