September Underemployment Jumps, Unemployment Stays Flat

The unemployment numbers for September are out and, for the umpteenth month running, the liberal experiment in Keynesian stimulus policy is still a failure. As the chart below shows unemployment (U3) is still stuck at 9.6% (click to enlarge):

The only reason it is not reflecting the more realistic 10+% level is because the work force level is still well below the 2000-2008 levels (64.7% now verses the average of 66.7% of the population through the Bush administration). The underemployment rate, which covers people without career level jobs who may be working part time as well as not working at all, jumped to 17.1%. That is the same level the country experienced last fall, at the peak of the recession and unemployment.

The Department of Labor says the nation lost 95,000 jobs in September. Which is strangely close to the 89,000 stimulus payments which went to dead people and folks in prison. And this crowd in DC has the audacity to claim they can do better with our health care than we can?? Pulleaaase.

I wonder which states those 89,000 stimulus payments went to?
I am sure they are all on the Demrat voter registration roles and wuill vote this fall as the Pinnochio regime has resisted efforts to purge the roles and has put the Black Panthers in charge of ballot box “protection”

Take two or three like minded voters to the polls with you.

Get absentee ballots for those to busy, or unable to go. It is not hard to do I now have thre absentees sent in and two going with me. make your vote count for 7.

The numbers are being faked … this is the “first estimate”.

In 2009 BLS admits they lost about 900,000 from the unemployed column … But they say they got it right now.

They count on people not realizing these are first estimates, not final data … And the media won’t tell.

Tarpon, every string is being pulled right now just to put off the real numbers until *after* November 2nd. After that, they don’t care, which is why I expect a barrage of bad news to hit in November. (It’s all stuff that’s already happening, but the administration and the MSM are sitting on it)

It’s just like the joke “peace” talks going on in the Mideast. Obama is desperately offering to give away *anything* – new jets to Israel, loads of cash to the Palis – not for some great settlement, but just to get them to agree to wait two months before they both walk away.

Imagine that – every bargaining chip this country has is being thrown away just to buy two months until the same outcome is reached. Why two months?

Oh, who even needs to ask?

It hardly matters now what unemployment number they use…the “stimulus” has been a colossal failure…and the Democrats will pay in November…

Less than four weeks to go! Round up your friends, neighbors, and relatives and get ready to take our country back!

    REMEMBER TOGETHER IN NOV!

Is this report just like the BP oil leakage report?

This group in DC is shameless and we all know it. We ALL need to keep our eyes and ears open on Nov. 2 because they will stop at NOTHING to maintain their liberal eutopia/control of our lives.

dunter, those SS checks going to the dead people and prisoners…my mother and I have known this since the 70’s when we were in Ireland. As we took a walking tour of the town we were staying in, we noticed a young girl standing by the front door of an Irish pub, owned by her family. She said that her family had been receiving SS checks from America for many years for her grandfather that had passed away many years prior.

Of course, they were grateful in getting those checks.

Yeah, those checks had been sent overseas for a very long time with no oversight.

wws, can you post the real numbers here?

And wouldn’t you be surprised that the Democrats will begin blaming the soon to be bad economic reports to the Republicans and their wins?

oh my – here’s a Senate map showing R-51, D-49! And this is assuming Connecticut, California, and Delaware are all lost!!!

(I think 2 of those 3 are still easily in play)

Where have you people been. The Senate is lost with NV, IL, and WA. Rossi is moving ahead, Angle has always been a late mover, and Alex baby have too much baggage.

Hopefully, the other states will start falling as the momentum from the realization that the Senate is lost.

The big bonus is that I see a 15!!!!!! seat pick up in 2012.

So a former vice president of Fannie Mae is today our National Security Adviser. Hold on folks, its gonna be one hell of a ride.

  13. WWS says:

Just imagine what the Pentagon thinks about that turn of events.

He might as well have named his dog groomer to the post. That’s the amount of respect he gives to foreign affairs. The only reason Donilon ever had either job was because he was a political hack who could always be counted on to make his boss at the time feel good. That’s all he’s ever done – I’ll guarantee that I, and you, and everyone reading this blog knows more about National Security than that sub-clown Donilon does, and CERTAINLY more than the Clown-in-Chief does! Thing is, every other country in the world knows that, too.

Our foreign policy is now officially a joke.

and of course, Jones is just one more sign of rats jumping off the sinking ship.

  14. lurker9876 says:

I thought that Jones was forced out…earlier than his plan?

And I got to thinking that Donilon had to be really stupid to agree to replace Jones!

All conservative bloggers are saying that Donilon is no different from Jones. I also understand that Donilon was one of Obama’s important advisors on foreign affairs.
