Chris Mathews Roasts Connecticut AG Blumenthal

Published by at 9:39 am under 2010 Elections,All General Discussions

You know, as a premier Democrat candidate, that you have really stepped in a smoking pile when Chris Mathews comes out and tells the entire world your not worth wasting a vote on:

As I said before, Blumenthal has destroyed himself both through the years of misrepresenting his Vietnam experience, the years of not correcting untold news stories about his Vietnam experience, and his idiotic confrontational stance that somehow his reputation was destroyed by anyone else but himself. Put CT Senate back in play folks.

How do you forget you weren’t in a war … tough sledding on that one.

    Do all Democrats just lie?

    “Do all Democrats just lie?”

    Trick Question right?

  4. WWS says:

One of the veterans on stage with Blumenthal yesterday happens to be another one who is well known for faking his resume. Known for giving himself a bunch of fake medals and wearing them in public, I believe.

Birds of a feather – no wonder he loves Blumenthal.

They will have to replace him as he slides to oblivion.

Speaking of oblivion, here we go my friends, the stock market is headed for another bust. I sold everything, went to cash.

  6. Lord!!!

To find myself in total agreement with Chris “tingle up my leg” Mathews — WHAT has the world come to?

  7. WWS says:

Upon reflection, Matthews was probably ordered to do this by Bammy so that they can get Blumenthal out of the way quickly and maybe get a candidate in their who has a chance in the general.

Blumenthal may be too stupid and arrogant to realize that he’s got to take the fall on this one, though.

I have no doubt that if the order had come down to support Blumenthal all the way, Matthews would have been first in line to praise his service and denounce the bitter right wingers who had the gall to criticize him. Matthews is there for 2 reasons: he always does what he’s told, and he faithfully worships The God who Walks Among Us.

He needs to go on a long hike on the Appalachian trail and just keep walking.

What does he see when he looks in the mirror?

Not sure which guy I am talking about.

Unless you were either in VietNam or at a minimum faced a possible draft that would send you there, you are like a man talking about abortion. You have no idea how those who faced “life and death” and had to make real choices feel about this.
Frankly, I have better regard for those who fled to Canada as a matter of conscience than this man who not only got 5 deferments and a “plum” assignment, and then had the gall to let others believe that he served in VietNam.
    This man has no shame.

His poll numbers are falling faster than a rock in a pond. I think they may end up at the bottom of the Gulf with all that oil.

WWS, where is all that oil? School kids from St. Louis and all the kids in the MFM want to know? I’m sure Chrissy Matthews would rather be on the Gulf coast ripping BP on that huge oil slick washing up on our beautiful beaches. I guess tricky Dick is a consolation prize.

  11. MarkN says:

Blumenthal’s defense is “I didn’t lie all the time.” See sometimes I spoke with deliberate ambiguity and sometimes I lied.

I do accounting fraud investigations, I can just see some clerk telling me that they are not guilty because they did not commit fraud all the time. See, on Monday’s I stole $100,000 but on Friday’s I was honest. I would probably sit there with stunned silence wondering whether this person was serious.

Great. Do Democrats lie is a trick question.

I am really concerned the republicans are going to blow it this fall. The crew thats running the ship of the Republican party are clueless loosers. The Pa seat for Murtha should have been a easy victory. Even with heavy Dem turnout.

Also I think the anger over Healthcare is fading.

If anyone can screw it the Republican party can. Sometimes I think they are full of moles from the left.

I’m good, thanks for asking. Just haven’t had time to post much, and the news is pretty much manure these days. Will put something up.

    Cheers, AJStrata

Understood AJ, just concerned for you and yours, glad to know your OK.
