Winds Of Change In Iraq

With the Surge only 1/2 way to full deployment and a lot yet to accomplish, there are many signs of progress and change. Here are some articles discussing these signs of progress. The first is by John McCain which lays out all the changes he has seen, including the opportunity to meet with our new […]

Uzbeks Cleared From Waziristan Region

Seems the fighting by local tribesman against Uzbek militants with ties to al Qaeda has paid off with the ejection of the militants from one area in Waziristan. The only question is whether this will continue so that Pakistan is rid of foreign fighters – which would greatly stabilize Afghanistan.

Death Of The Republican Party

I had thought the Dems would be the ones to implode over the next two years, but it seems the Reps are the ones who will sell their soul and turn to dust. I simply cannot abide a party that kills human beings for spare parts, when there are no scientific studies using animals that […]

I heard on talk radio this morning some indications the US freed one Iranian diplomat they had in custody in Iraq at the bequest of Blair’s government as part of the deal to resolve the hostage situation. I cannot find any stories on this quickly, so it may not be as reported or may still […]

Sadr Panics

Moqtoda al-Sadr has panicked in what must be the the pending destruction of his quasi-military power base. He has ordered his militia to fight back against the US – basically declaring war on us and the Iraqi government. Which is really all we needed to eliminate the Shiia death squads and Iranian backed fanatics. Calling […]

Democrats Surrender To Bush, Will Not Surrender Iraq To al Qaeda

Seems the Democrats have had enough playing games with the supplies and replacement forces needed in Iraq and will now remove all language from their Bills hinting at a surrender date: Should Bush veto war-funding legislation that sets a limit on the U.S. military presence, Levin said the majority Democrats likely will strip out language […]
