Gen Paul Vallely On Hannity

Some Live Blogging:

Vallely begins by questioning why so many people were not brought in under oath by Fitzgerald.

He and Hannity both note that Andrea Mitchell and others had noted Wilson comments about his “CIA wife’.

Vallely says Wilson only once mentioned his wife ‘at the agency’ – which Vallely notes is how we folks around DC talk about folks working at the CIA.

Hannity points to all these potential sources means the entire investigation was a waste.

Hannity asks Vallely why would Wilson do what he did if he did not want notoreity.

Vallely noted he and Lt. General Tom McInerney could not miss Wilson’s anti-war, anti-Bush bias throughout all his Fox News

Vallely goes through the email silliness with World Net Daily. Hannity asked for all of Joe’s Wilsons attached emails that went out to Vallely and WND. He will get them and post them on his site.

Why didn’t Vallely come forward before: he thought Wilson would implode by now.

Hannity asked if anyone else heard it. Vallely cannot recall but notes the 4-5 times they were at Fox at the same time (see here).

Vallely says others at Fox knew the same information. Vallely will repeat under oath. Vallely’s wife was with him at the time and they ended up discussing what the wife’s did, which is when it came out Wilson blabbed about ‘the agency’.

Note: Reader Mapes commented below on this passage, causing me to re-word it….

Vallely keeps claiming Wilson was never talked to under oath!

Very short 20 minutes – but amazing.

He said/He said… CRAP! Keep digging, some Patriotic Dem may be out there to concur. A left leaner is needed…. maybe an MSM type. Fitz seems to believe everything they say.

oops. You super don’t mess with the wife, right?

Vallely’s wife was with him at the time and they ended up discussing what the wife’s did, which is when it came out.

Would be a bit of irony if Wilson starts dissing Vallely’s wife!

If Fitzgerald didn’t call Wilson, then this was a hatchet job from day one.

    Burbank–

Don’t worry. This a bit more than he said / she said. They may be FOX contributors, but even the MS journo’s in DC don’t have the balls to question these guys – they probably use them as sources all the time. Not easy to diss a source you have used in the past.

Wilson doesn’t even have enough clout to go horn to horn with them. Also, gotta love Vallely—let’s go under oath! Put your money where your mouth is pal.

    I Thought …
That this entire ‘investigation’ was odd right out of the gate.
Even a cursory review of the law (and Tönsing’s explanation) would have clued in even the clueless to the FACT that no law was broken – period. This entire smarmy hatchet job could have been dismissed within 48 hours.

    I Wonder …
What Fitzgerald’s motivation IS for overlooking the obvious?
Apparently, he is not as smart as has been portrayed, but is influenced by his alleged ‘Independent’ political affiliation.

-He was interviewed by FBI agents early on (as was his wife seperately) and Fitz called Wilson, Sept. 29th, 05–the day before Judy was to testify.

Which is weird. The call I mean.
