OMG, The Liberals Want To Build An Ark Against Global Warming!

Published by at 10:46 am under All General Discussions,Global Warming

The lunacy of the left never stops! This is what happens when you watch too much TV and don’t study math and science enough – you become fools running a fools’ errand. Think about it. If the far right claimed the end of the world was nigh and it was time to build an ark to save mankind from a pending world wide flood the liberals and media would have a field day. And rightfully so!

But in the face of Global falling temperatures with rising CO2 levels, the prediction of a decade to come of falling temperatures and two decades of unfulfilled doom and gloom predictions masquerading as scientific ‘fact’ we have the followers of the Church of Al Gore/IPCC ready to build an ark in the face of pending world wide floods!

An architect has come up with an innovative answer to rising sea levels – a city that floats around the world.

The self-contained ‘Lilypad’ city will be home to around 50,000 ‘climate refugees’ from the worst hit areas – including London.

Latest research predicts that sea levels could rise by up to 88cm – nearly 3ft – by the year 2100, putting many islands in the Pacific Ocean in danger.

Cool pictures, but an expensive prospect which requires an environmental impact study. Do you know how much waste 50,000 people produce? I assume this will just go into the ocean. Where will it get its power – nuclear reactors? Where will it get its food and water?

Given the fact sea levels have not budged in the 20 years since the IPCC first issued their failed predictions (not one has come true), and now we face another decade of failed predictions as the Global temperatures are predicted to fall, I would want to know for sure we need these “B-Arks” before we start spending money. It may not be just for Global Warming we may want to ship a lot of ‘refugees’ out to sea to fend for themselves!

For those familiar with The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, they will appreciate the reference to the B-Ark plan.

Golgafrincham, home of the Great Circling Poets of Arium, decided it was time to rid itself of an entire useless third of its population, and so concocted a story that their planet would shortly be destroyed in some great catastrophe. The useless population (consisting of hairdressers, tired TV producers, insurance salesmen, personnel officers, security guards, management consultants, telephone sanitizers and the like) were packed into the B-Ark, one of three giant Ark spaceships, and told that everyone else would follow shortly in the other two. The other two thirds of the population, of course, did not follow and “led full, rich and happy lives until they were all suddenly wiped out by a virulent disease contracted from a dirty telephone”.

Ahh, it all comes clear now. The Church of Al Gore/IPCC plans to scare people out of the beach front property and buy them out for a song, then reap the financial rewards!

These people need to be condemned to a lifetime of watching “waterworld” reruns.

Although this interestingly gives the lie to one of the eco-left’s other long term fantasies, the one that says the world is running out of space and we are facing hopeless overpopulation. Work out the floating city thing, and world pop could probably head up to the 50 billion range pretty easily.
Power? Work out room temperature ceramic superconductors and thin film 90% conversion solar sheeting, with long term 99.9% efficient battery storage, and power won’t be a problem.
There’s also a deep water convection possibility. Ocean farming for food; for waste, recycle and clean the liquids, compact and drop the solid portion to the sea bottom, cased in ceramic if you’re worried about containment.

Of course you’d need some kind of highly effective missile defense shield to keep those brigands in the space docks from making you pay for “protection” each year.

before anyone gets apoplectic, I’m talking 23rd – 24th century timeframe here, long after any of us will be around to see it. But since the sci-fi ball got tossed, I figured I’d run with it.

One more thing – they should let Slartibartfast design these things. I hear he does wonderful fjords.

    WWS,

    On ol’ Slarty

According to both the UAH and the RSS satellite temperature measurements, the globe is colder than it has been in a while. Also, the drop in temperatures since January 2007 is simply stunning.

Record low temperatures were set all across the US in this first week of July … from Anchorage, AK to Charlotte, NC and these are lows that have stood for a century or so.

Here in Texas the highs have been about normal this summer, mid to upper 90’s. This June was warmer than last June, but last June it rained 21 out of 30 days. A couple mornings ago, however, the early morning low was 62! That may seem pretty normal in most places, but here you never see anything below the 70’s in midsummer. I think that tied the record low for the date from the 1920’s.

Yeah global warming is so here. Just yesterday when we had a 20 degree drop in temperature and wind driven hail for 15 minutes I was just saying how bad that global warming was.

B-Ark… but wait every one on the B-ark’s survived while every one that stayed behind died from a a disease they got from pay phones that weren’t dissenfected. So who’s crazy now???? Pan Galactic Gargleblasters for all please.

I wish every one would get out of investigating which Republicans are making the most off of big oil and start investigating which Dem’s are going to make a killing when alternate fuels, and green technology explode. One thing I know about politicians they don’t push something unless they are going to profit from it. We already know about Al-Gore’s green companies he’s getting rich off of, but who in the house and senate has been pushing this stuff, and how much stock, or ownership in these technologies or companies do they own??

    AJ,
Look into some infromation on the greenland ice melt, apparently another iconic image of if water gushing out and flooding the oceans was not all it was cracked up to be.

  7. robert verdi says:

    AJ,
If I have it correct, the Greenland ice sheet was supposed to melt, all of this extra water would then flood the ocean. Apparently none of this happening, which disproves all of the dramatic footage of Manhattan being drowned. A lot of warming hysteria is just plain false.
