Thank Goodness For The NSA Surveillance Programs

Published by at 11:55 am under All General Discussions,Bin Laden/GWOT,FISA-NSA

We may be witnessing why the liberal attacks on the National Security Agency’s surveillance programs was the epitome of political suicide. Word from ABC News about a high threat level in Germany for a possible terrorist attack on US interests there, possibly using commercial aircraft again, can only be coming from our surveillance of communications and our tracking of resources (and possibly from interrogation of terrorists picked up in Irag and elsewhere):

U.S. and German officials fear terrorists are in the advanced planning stages of an attack on U.S. military personnel or tourists in Germany.

Law enforcement officials tell the Blotter on ABCNews.com that U.S. air marshals have been diverted to provide expanded protection of flights between Germany and the United States.

“The information behind the threat is very real”; a senior U.S. official told ABC News.

Security at all U.S. military and diplomatic facilities has been increased in the last month following reports that suspected terrorists had conducted surveillance of the Patch Barracks facility.

If this plot is thwarted we all should give thanks to Bush and the Intelligence Community in uncovering these attacks and we should all give thanks the Democrats and the SurrenderMedia did not succeed in crippling our national security efforts (though they did damage them). And we should all remember liberal fantasies can be more than strange. They can be dangerous.

By tipping off the terrorists ahead of time that we are onto their plans, the media is making sure the plot isn’t “thwarted” and allowing the terrorists time to disperse. The impact of the reporting might be to simply delay the attack or change the focus of it.

The only time such reporting would be a good thing is when we know an event is in the works but don’t know who is involved. A delay in the attacks would allow us more time to discover who is planning it.

If our people are putting this information out to intentionally be in the press, then it would mean we don’t know who is involved yet. IF ABC is leaking information that we don’t WANT released, then they are probably helping the terrorists escape capture. That would fit their political agenda because capturing of the terrorists would be a positive for both Bush and Merkel.
