Enviros Over The Kuckoo’s Nest

Published by at 8:01 am under All General Discussions,Global Warming

The enviro-nuts have really started to come out and show their true colors – and it is disturbing. With almost no science to back them up and facing a wealth of completely contradicting evidence the enviro-nuts have targeted Enemy #1: humans (which is oxymoronic in a myriad of ways, the least of which is we ARE a product of nature). First they are going after children and equating them with a ‘carbon footprint’ (we all know it’s trivial to abort a footprint compared to killing a human being):

The paper by the Optimum Population Trust will say that if couples had two children instead of three they could cut their family’s carbon dioxide output by the equivalent of 620 return flights a year between London and New York.

“The greatest thing anyone in Britain could do to help the future of the planet would be to have one less child.”

Do these people admit they have no proof that CO2 is a driver of warming instead of a lagging indicator? No. Do these people have any track record of predicting temps based on CO2 levels? Just the opposite, their Chicken Little cries have never once come true and they have had to keep changing their predictions to stay even minimally relevant. So before you listen to the see kooks don’t think for a moment this guy has any proof killing a child through abortion will save the planet. The odds are it will not make any difference at all – not even a small one. But your child COULD become the person who cures cancer, so just be aware that enviro-nuts want one thing: less people. And they have moments when they are absolutely clear on the matter:

Watson’s May 4 editorial asked the question “The Beginning of the End for Life as We Know it on Planet Earth?” Then he left no doubt about the answer. “We are killing our host the planet Earth,” he claimed and called for a population drop to less than 1 billion.

That one billion would be them – of course! Folks, that is 80% of humanity being wiped out. They just don’t want us around to obscure their view of the forests and beaches. And the High Priest of this cult culture Al Gore is upset the mind control beam from the liberal media is just not working and his Church-O-Nuts is losing faith:

The former vice president referred continually to a “new way of thinking” that is emerging in the country and offered hope in the battle to control the effects global warming will have on the planet.

“It’s in part a spiritual crisis,” Gore told the crowd in the Convention Center at the American Institute of Architects national convention. “It’s a crisis of our own self-definition — who we are. Are we creatures destined to destroy our own species? Clearly not.”

The irony of fearing our own species’ destruction when we have rampant abortion because some cult-of-the-left thinks fetuses are not human beings is staggering. We have another Church-of-Me which sees nothing wrong with spare parts being harvested from young humans because an embryo is ‘not human’, yet that is not killing our species. And we have the two Neo-Nazis above who want the earth only for ‘the proper’ 1 billion, the other 4 billion of us can just shuffle off our mortal coils (thanks Python) and leave them in peace.

What Gore is questioning is the fact science is not settles and scientists have had it with him and the other charlatans who cannot distinguish a virus from a mammal (high school biology folks – should have stayed awake). What is disturbing the Gore-iacs (think Animaniacs) is what real expersts are saying about his cult-faith:

Reid A. Bryson holds the 30th PhD in Meteorology granted in the history of American education. Emeritus Professor and founding chairman of the University of Wisconsin Department of Meteorology—now the Department of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences—in the 1970s he became the first director of what’s now the UW’s Gaylord Nelson Institute of Environmental Studies. He’s a member of the United Nations Global 500 Roll of Honor—created, the U.N. says, to recognize “outstanding achievements in the protection and improvement of the environment.” He has authored five books and more than 230 other publications and was identified by the British Institute of Geographers as the most frequently cited climatologist in the world.

In fact, he took that knowledge a big step further, earlier than probably anyone else. Almost 40 years ago, Bryson stood before the American Association for the Advancement of Science and presented a paper saying human activity could alter climate.

“I was laughed off the platform for saying that,” he told Wisconsin Energy Cooperative News.

In the 1960s, Bryson’s idea was widely considered a radical proposition. But nowadays things have turned almost in the opposite direction: Hardly a day passes without some authority figure claiming that whatever the climate happens to be doing, human activity must be part of the explanation. And once again, Bryson is challenging the conventional wisdom.

We ask about that evidence, but Bryson says it’s second-tier stuff. “Don’t talk about proxies,” he says. “We have written evidence, eyeball evidence. When Eric the Red went to Greenland, how did he get there? It’s all written down.”

Bryson describes the navigational instructions provided for Norse mariners making their way from Europe to their settlements in Greenland. The place was named for a reason: The Norse farmed there from the 10th century to the 13th, a somewhat longer period than the United States has existed. But around 1200 the mariners’ instructions changed in a big way. Ice became a major navigational reference. Today, old Viking farmsteads are covered by glaciers.

Bryson mentions the retreat of Alpine glaciers, common grist for current headlines. “What do they find when the ice sheets retreat, in the Alps?”

We recall the two-year-old report saying a mature forest and agricultural water-management structures had been discovered emerging from the ice, seeing sunlight for the first time in thousands of years. Bryson interrupts excitedly.

“A silver mine! The guys had stacked up their tools because they were going to be back the next spring to mine more silver, only the snow never went,” he says. “There used to be less ice than now. It’s just getting back to normal.”

Gore seems to be beside himself that scientists cannot see his fantasy world.

The liberals have been trying to establish the anti-christ church (and I do not mean that in the biblical sense, just the political sense) ever since they found ways to get famous not doing unto others as they would have done to themselves, but simply hording all they can and seeing who has the biggest yacht and most houses. The Church of liberalism is ego while the heartland of America still practices sacrifice and giving. Living between the two worlds my entire life I can tell you who has the most gifts. When you cannot trust someone around all your toys you have nothing. But when you can trust someone to come to your side in a moment of need, you have the greatest gift of all. We all want a clean environment. It is just some of us will tolerate one of nature’s most amazing products share in nature’s beauty – human beings. The others would like to see most of us dead so it can be all theirs. How 4th Reich of them.

Addendum: I have been saying for months that this cycle of warming is not the first (or the last) this planet has seen. It is probably the millionth or so. And only rarely, when there is a super event like a comet or massive volcano, do species take a huge hit. This is confirmed by scientific study the Eco-nuts will not even acknowledge exists:

Bryson says he looks in the opposite direction, at past climate conditions, for clues to future climate behavior. Trying that approach in the weeks following our interview, Wisconsin Energy Cooperative News soon found six separate papers about Antarctic ice core studies, published in peer-reviewed scientific journals between 1999 and 2006. The ice core data allowed researchers to examine multiple climate changes reaching back over the past 650,000 years. All six studies found atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations tracking closely with temperatures, but with CO2 lagging behind changes in temperature, rather than leading them. The time lag between temperatures moving up—or down—and carbon dioxide following ranged from a few hundred to a few thousand years.

The reason being it took life a while to take advantage of the warming and blossom. And I mean CO2 producing life (animals primarily). CO2 ingesting life (plants and algaes) seem to respond quite rapidly. So, don’t kill your child just because someone said it may save the planet. The historic record indicates that is not the case.

I’m in Deep Southern Maryland. It’s the 7th of May.

And it is 50 degrees outside.

Global warming my foot! I’m watching out for the new Ice Age!

AJ, why doesn no one talk about Al Gore’s connection to Maurice Strong or Maurice Strong’s political beliefs? Gore did not just come up with this on his own. Come on, now, even for a man who invented the internet, Gore is a follower, not a leader.
As George Soros is the leader of the far left, filling their little coffers with his money, Strong is the same thing for the eco-nuts. Strong and Soros are political and social twins.

I have long thought that this global warming hype is nothing more than a replacement for religion, something the great unwashed masses can believe in while not believing in God, and attempt to even the economic playing field so that the U.S. is not the greatest economic player in the world.

Al Gore himself is guilty of contributing to global warming with all the hot air he emits. And he is seeking to be the leader of the New Church of Global Warming, backed by his deacon, Maurice Strong.
It looks to me that if we demand that they follow their own advice, within the next generation, due to global warming concerns and abortion for convenience, the Me crown will be in the minority as conservative ignore their fear mongering and continue to have more little conservatives.

Every once in a while, the “greenies” let the mask slip, and they confirm that the real “problem” in their eyes is human beings themselves, not what human beings are doing.

Can the roots of these greenies be traced to Islamofacists groups? It would seem like the perfect pairing. Have the European/US communities only breeding 2 children per family, and have the Islamofacists breed as many as they can. It would turn into an arms race, litterally.

Glaciers in the Alps are exposing wood too. Before those glaciers advanced, the valleys where they are now were forested. The wood is carbon dating to about 5000 years ago.

Think this winter was bad? Wait till next winter! I believe it is going to be extremely cold particularly in the Western US. Cold and dry (warmer usually means wetter, colder means dryer). The reason is we have the Pacific Decadal Oscillation settling into its “cold” phase along with a La Nina event and we are going to have an extended solar minimum. Solar Cycle was forecast to have started in March but it now looks like it will be delayed at least a year.

Watch out for the winter of 2007/2008!
