Imus The Anus

Published by at 4:30 pm under All General Discussions

I am sitting here at a famous DC airport bar and I just heard what Don Imus said regarding the Rutgers Women’s basketball game and all I can say is thank God the jerk is not a conservative or Bush supporter. I won’t even repeat the insult he laid at some fine young women who achieved the apex of their sport. I agree with some sportscasters I watched calling for this idoit to be canned and banned. We don’t need Imus the Anus

Liberals can say anything because they are for the common good. What Imus said was far more hateful then what Ann Coulter said. Where is the media uproar. Look at Rosie, both of these people have paid TV programs, Ann is a citizen employed by no one.

Wow, you’re using “grown up” words, like ‘anus.’

Which is where parents put their first nappies.

How this ended up to pass as conversation, I have no idea.

No. It’s not the first time Imus made it to “fame” by NOT carrying his audience. He did the same, years ago, when some idiot selected him to be the MC. When Bill Clinton got roasted. Or whatever they call that dreck that passes as a humorous night out for the media boys.

At one time? You bet. Male audience. Male jobs.

    Then women came along.

I don’t know how tall you have to be to play baseketball.

I’ve been in gyms where there were, high above, these contraptions you’re supposed to throw a pretty large ball into. To score.

My shots never made it more than half-way up.

So, I’ve got a picture of basketball that if it’s played by women, then the women, at least are six feet tall.

Meaning? Not most women would make the cut.

Even more surprising; I learned Imus was watching them play. Now, why would a man want to do that?

The team that won? White women.

The team that got the crack of a comment? I dunno. I don’t watch women playing basketball. But I think Imus was trying to say they were black. Or none of them had hair that made the cut to “good hair day.”

    So he apologizes. So what?

A big doo-doo about nothing. Par for the anus. If not a daily event.

At least we know the language police are out there. What do they do when you foul? Toss a Funk & Wagnall’s at ya?

Our culture has its baby-ish characteristics, let me tell ya.

While Imus? He’s just a character. Some people have developed a taste for his bullying.

Not me. I’m a fan of Drudge.

It’s a good marketplace that gives ya lots of choices. “Hair” and “nappy” doesn’t work as snappy as “bush.” Bad hair days don’t get better if you sweat a lot trying to toss a ball into a hoop two stories up.

Okay. Some people go to watch. At least they’re not the hooligans that go to watch soccer. (sound play on “sock-her.”)

OK I missed it. what the hell did he say to piss so many people off?

I am with Bikerken here. I know nothing about this.

Well here it is, in all its glory, what a maroon:

NEW YORK (AP) – The radio station that produces Don Imus’ talk show pledged to keep tabs on its content after he apologized for calling the players on Rutgers University women’s basketball team “nappy headed hos.”

“We are disappointed by Imus’ actions earlier this week which we find completely inappropriate,” WFAN-AM said in a statement Friday. “We fully agree that a sincere apology was called for and will continue to monitor the program’s content going forward.”

Imus apologized Friday for the comments made earlier this week on his nationally syndicated program.

Why does anyone think that when someone apologizes for a rude and uncouth comment that makes everything all right? My theory is they said it, they meant it and they still mean it. They only apologize because of the hoopla the comment caused. Just like the dims say “I’m sorry if anyone was offended by my remark” is not a apology at all neither is Imus’ or Michael Richards’ or Mel Gibson’s. They only apologize when they see the damage they caused. It would be much better if they kept their prejudices to themselves and their mouths shut. This into their heads and out their mouths in one motion should make them stop and think how is my remark going to be received. Of course, some people are offensive because they like to be.

It’s a good thing he’s not a republican, his charred corpse would be hanging from a lampost somewhere. What an ass.

  9. Terrye says:

    Bikerken is right about that.
