Wrong Man Convicted

Published by at 3:38 pm under Guest Bloggers,Plame Game

Lewis Libby has been convicted on four of five counts against him and faces up to 25 years in jail and a fine of $1 million. The jurors found Tim Russert to be a credible witness, despite the notes of his FBI interview being “lost” and him having claimed on the stand it would have been “impossible” for him to have told Libby about Plame. This even though another prosecution witness, Ari Fleischer, testified to having spilled Plame to David Gregory, who works together with Russert, not to mention Andrea Mitchell, who also works with Russert, stating for the record in 2003 that she and others knew Plame was CIA. The spokesman of the jury stated today:

“The primary thing which convinced us on most of the accounts was the conversation… the alleged conversation… with Tim Russert…,” he said.

That David Gregory and Andrea Mitchell never had to testify in the trial, and the fact that Tim Russert was caught lying about his knowledge of how grand juries work, seems to indicate that the jury convicted Libby based on an incomplete rationale, some of which was prevented by Judge Walton. However, the jurors had sympathy for Mr. Libby. Why?

Denis Collins said that “a number of times” they asked themselves, “what is HE doing here? Where is Rove and all these other guys….He was the fall guy.”

Here’s to you, Jason Leopold, for a job well done! Remember kids, it’s not getting the truth out that counts, it’s getting out a story that will fool as many people as possible to permeate the public conscience. Apropos that, I hear Leopold is involved in writing the script for the upcoming movie about Mrs. Fair Game…

This trial was a waste of time. The jury only remembered the last thing they heard which was Fitzgerald’s rebuttal. His yelling probably woke them up. The jury did not weigh the evidence at. They took Fitzgerald’s talking points and ruled on them. Fitzgerald claimed Plame was classified even though the judge had ordered the trial not be about her and told the jury so. The judge did not reprimand Fitztgerald for this. This was a set up from day one. Fitgerald admitted as much when he said he only intended to try process crimes.

    From Rush Limbaugh:
snip/”But here’s the problem. The libs and the Democrats have created a permanent part of our government: courts, the bureaucracy, and institutions of higher learning and the media. They have taken control of much of the country’s basic fabric. What it means is that it’s becoming more and more difficult to reach them through elections. Even if we win elections, we don’t get rid of the liberal establishment that is in academia, for example. We don’t get rid of the liberal establishment that is in the Drive-By Media — and more and more we don’t get rid of it as it has taken root in the courts. Of course we talked about the bureaucracy yesterday. People are saying, “Well, Bush is the boss of all these people at the CIA and the state department.” No, he’s not. There are career lib people in those agencies that have been there for years. They’re going to stay there for years. They aspire to these kinds of jobs. No matter who you elect, you don’t get rid of them. No matter who we elect, you don’t get rid of college presidents and faculty. No matter who we elect, we don’t get rid of the media. ”

The silent coup is almost complete…they just need to take the White House in ’08…

    I fear for America.

I think it is time for people to ask when Sandy – the docs are in my pants – Berger is going to take that lie-detector that was part of his plea bargon for stealing and destroying classified documents. Here is someone that should be in jail!! Always wonder why he risked going to prison to protect Clinton….oh – that’s right – liberals never go to prison for their crimes do they!!! They go on Larry King and Hardball instead.

    Fitz said he is DONE.

You’ve got to learn to read – albeit between the lines. What Fitzgerald said was:

I do not expect to file any further charges, the investigation was inactive prior to the trial however, Fitzgerald added, If new information comes to light, of course we’ll do that.

A reporter then asked Fitzgerald whether he would scale down his recommendations for a sentence if Libby were to offer more information to the prosecution that wasn’t previously known.

    They can contact us.

He also promised appropriate support for any Congressional investigation that might follow the trial.

Hint for Dick Cheney – keep your eye on the mail and for knocks on the door – it’s unlikely to beEd McMahon telling you you’ve won anything – more likely a process server with a still-warm-from-the-oven subpoena.

Right makes might…or so I thought. But it looks again, that the liberals are sending us back to our human baseness (again).

Illegitimacy thy name is democrat/global socialist/liberals. Can’t win on principles or ideas so they have to use the judiciary to strong arm.

The have no ability to be in a good-faith relationship. And to have the rogue clintons as their standard bearers is quite telling.

This was AN ATTEMPT AT A PROCESS CRIME. THERE WAS NO CRIME. And again, WHY is Armitage walking around free? He hates George W. Bush.
