Typical Pouty James Webb – no wonder Reagen fired the buffoon. The guy lacks an ounce of class or maturity.

And you know what Ken? I think the fact that millions of Iraqis actually risked their lives to vote means something. You don’t, you think a poll is more important than a real vote. You think a poll is more important than reelistment in a voluntary military. You also ignore the fact that the Iraqi poll states that if they believed that Americans were actually going to leave they did not support targetting them. A couple of things, I have my doubts about a poll in a country like Iraq, too many variables and too much bad history, but one thing is for certain. There are almost 27 million Iraqis, in more than three years we have lost less Americans in Iraq than died right here on 9/11. So it seems the Iraqis are not trying nearly as hard to kill Americans as they are each other right now. And even then you have to wonder if the Iraq war is really a “cause celebre” for terrorists from all over the Middle East, how can it be called a civil war? Can’t have it both ways.

And the other thing, is where do the people of Iraq get the idea that we are going to steal their oil? Who feeds that paranoia, knowing full well it gets people killed? Folks like you Ken, not only do not support the war effort, you enjoy undermining the process in the hopes that your country will fail and more people will die. That says something rather unpleasant about you.

I think the most telling thing about people like you Ken is that if you given the choice between Iraq becoming a successful and self sustaining society and endless bloodshed, you would pick the latter because it fits your malicious preconceptions.

Gee, Terrye, you believe those totals might have something to do with the relative protective body armor, tanks, and fortresses & Green Zone protection Americans have while native victims of the unwanted occupation do not?
And yeah, you can have it both ways, Terrye, a civil war can proceed
contemperanously with an insurgency. Sorry if your too simplistic to see that.

“Oh for heaven’s sake Ken, not that sad silly totally discredited and meaningless push poll by Zogby that has become a major embarassment for them? No one believes that”

I bet a good many of the 65% of Americans opposed to the war have taken polls like this into account–and the neocons who live in
the insulated bubble of Limbaugh, Hannity and the Weekly Standard
might beleive Zogby has been discredited, but see, Terrye, their
perspective is like that of a Heaven’s Gater taking off for
the mother ship at the tail of the Hale Bopp comet…It’s a little
    “off.”

Reenlistments? In this service economy of high individual debt
    many servicepeople feel trapped.

Webb got elected because he was a marine, and he has a son in theatre. I bet his son wishes he would STFU.

Please don’t say “virginians” were stupid, I’m a Virginian and I voted for Allen. Allen has more class in his little finger than the entire democratic party put together.

    Hey Ken blahblahblahblahblahblah…

We have the WaPo to thank for the Webb win. Allen ran a lousy campaign, but the nonstop smear campaign waged by the WaPo was very effective. And it clearly helped Webb that this neanderthal (Webb) was given a free ride by the press. Vast majority of dems and indies who voted for him have no idea that he is far from a liberal dem … jerk, bafoon, sexist, unstable are some other words that come to mind. Crosspatch had interesting post about state legislatures voting for Senators … hmmm?.
As usual, Ken is clueless about Iraq & the ME. And I’d like for one of these lib, Bush-haters to actually cite one lie. They can’t.

  7. Linda says:

    LOL@enforcement – I know what you mean.

Yes, the constant harping on Allen was infuriating. Dems can say anything and none of it gets in the MSM. The horrible thing is, Allen is a really nice guy.

There was a local media drive to “Teach the Repubs a lesson” – you couldn’t get through to anyone that this was not the time for a lesson, there was too much at stake. The buyer’s remorse has already set in. The conservatives took what little Webb said about the war, and assumed he meant “beat the poop out of them and then come home. ” Instead, now they’re hearing “I want them out.” It’s not what they expected.

If we could just just detach northern VA – they don’t belong here. I think they should form their own state – or we could give them to DC – DC could use the extra revenue. The rest of us don’t need it.

    Strata

Boy, the envy-ridden months-long faulty analysis of your in-state race wherein you confidently dissected an Allen victory over Webb really rubbed off on your out of states fans.
