What Is Victory?

Published by at 10:19 am under All General Discussions,Bin Laden/GWOT

A must read by Tommy Franks, Daniel Pipes and many others. The question should be put to Pelosi, Reid and all candidates or Rep leadership positions.

I think that I know what I’m looking at right now, I hope more of us come to the same conclusion. Right now there are many who don’t want to see. They are talking about tuition, wages, and coming home. Rummy has warned us. I think our MSM has done this country a big disfavour buying into any political party. It should be looking at this world as it is not what a political party wants it to be.

    AJ…

Oh my what a piece and why O why did the Republicans who just got thrown out of office allow, encourage this sort of strait talk before the election. In the parlance of framing of a debate we had two positions, the Democratic “Cut and Run” and the Presidents “Stay the Course” rhetoric, neither one of which the American people liked.

Look at least one of the authors of this paper, Tommy Franks, nobody’s “Cut and Run Liberal”. I’m going to have to go back and read this piece a bit more thoroughly, but it’s exactly the starting point for a National debate on the issue of the war in Iraq that we should have been having, it’s a shame it came out after the election.

Well, Al Quaeda just defined victory.

They said they will not stop until they blow up the US White house.

So, they are saying that even if we cut and run, they are still gonna blow up the White house.

Damn, and Ken just assured us that if we cut and run, they wouldn’t follow us back here. Well, there goes Ken’s credibility.

Wait, he didn’t have any anyhow.

This is the new Somalia, …….Syria, Iran, Libya, Sudan, Egypt, Eritrea, Djibouti and Saudi Arabia have all provided weapons or supplies — including food, uniforms, fuel and doctors — to the Islamists. This may not have been a war against Islam but it is building to one.

Why didn’t Tommy Franks run in Florida for the US Senate???

  6. Ken says:

Oh, yes, a must-read, AJ. We need to know what failed and
nefariously motivated dual loyalists like Pipes, Rosen and Zakheim
say to do now about Iraq.

I think the fact that Franks felt he had served the sleeping, uncaring American public long enough is the reason he did not run for public office. I think he felt he deserved his last years out of the public eye and be allowed to live his life the way he wanted to.
