Proud Of Amish Americans

Published by at 11:13 am under All General Discussions

I must comment on how proud I am to be associated in any small way with the Amish as they deal honorably with their terrible losses. We are lucky in America to have people around like the Amish to remind us we can be better, deal better, and honor those who have passed better. I am proud the Amish are Americans. The counter-example they have provided us to the Foley mess (and the ‘swamp’ smearing comments from the democrats) is very much needed at this time. Our hearts and prayers are with the Amish community at this time. They remind us there is a life outside the media din and partisan sniping.

Right on, AJ! And a major Amish quality most desirable to be
emulated by contemporary Americans is their pacifism, at least
as regards our posture in regions of the world far from our
    shores.

    Ken,

I said I admired them – not that I worshipped them. Get a grip.

I sold my herd to an Amishman when I got out of farming. I have known a lot of Amish folks here in southern Indiana, they are hard workers.

And Ken those people came here from Europe because we allowed them to practice their religion freely. I can remember the Amish going to work in the VA hospitals as young men during Viet Nam. Their religion might have made it difficult for them to bear arms, but they were more than happy to do their part. Unlike some people.

    Ken,

You aren’t a pacifist. You are for war. You just want the Saddams and the Osamas to win.

  5. Ken says:

I live in the real world, Snapple. Saddam can’t win a war from
a prison cell. And Osama can’t win a war without an army a navy and
    an airforce.

  6. Snapple says:

    Ken-

Thanks to Bush, Saddam is in prison and Osama is on the defensive.
Had Bush done nothing, we would be in even worse shape now, I think!

Saddam used to have an armed forces and trained 1000s of terrorists. He was buying powerful politicians in Europe, the former USSR, even here.

He protected a guy who was part of the first WTC bombing.
He paid the families of suicide bombers 25,000 dollars.
    He protected Abu Nidal.

Saddam gave money to the American Indian Movement to start trouble here. http://legendofpineridge.blogspot.com/2006/09/surprise-wardo-is-for-sale-not-that.html

The FBI thinks there are people in America right now who were involved in 9-11, OK?

Here is a link that has information about Saddam’s support of terrorism. When we buy his oil, we are supporting terrorism, indirectly. It’s like dealing with the mafiya. http://legendofpineridge.blogspot.com/2006/10/saddams-support-for-terrorism.html

  7. Snapple says:

The real world is the WTC on 9-11.
The real world is the murder of Saddat 25 years ago today.

The real world is spying on the terrorists and looking for the Americans who helped the 9-11 terrorists.

Terrorists don’t need a navy or an airforce. As I recall, they stole our planes. They may use our ships for bombs, too.

They kill and hide behind the fact that they are supposedly non-state actors. The murders make victimized governments appease the terrorists.

Hitler–who started as a terrorist– didn’t have an airforce until Stalin let him secretly build one in Ukraine.

Saddam was helping 1000s of terrorists. He trained them and paid suicide bombers’ families 25,000 dollars. http://legendofpineridge.blogspot.com/2006/10/saddams-support-for-terrorism.html

When we bought the iol he controlled, we contributed to terrorism and opression.

  8. Snapple says:

    Osama used our airplanes, Kenny.

  9. Snapple says:

Real world? It doesn’t get more real than the WTC on 9-11, Kenny.

    AJ-

Sorry about the superfluous posts. It seemed the posts weren’t taking, but later they did.

Two of the little Amish girls asked the killer to shoot them first in a bid to spare the younger girls. It is so sad. I wrote about it here.

Snapple-Osama used our planes to commit one terror act
which doesn’t come close to taking over and forcing you to
bow to Mecca. Saddam reimbursed the families for Israel’s
wanton destruction of their homes. Iran, much strengthened
by the Iraq War, funded “terrorists” on a much greater
volume than Saddam. The last time I checked, the assassination
of Sadat did not come close to propelling jihadists into
    control of the Egyptian government.

You can come out of hiding now, the coast is clear.
