ACLU Defending Terrorist’s Communications

Published by at 9:03 am under All General Discussions,FISA-NSA

In modern warfare information is king. In the terrorism war between loosely coupled, suicidal fanatics and normal citizens information is still king – but the terrorists and their sock puppets can use our laws and courts to take out our defenses. In modern war they do not need bombs. The obvious example of this was that naive and partisan judge who wrote a pathetic ‘legal decision’ in an attempt to shutdown the military’s eavesdropping on terrorists.

Side Note: get this straight folks on the leftward fever swamps – the NSA is a military unit, it does not do law enforcement and does not work for DoJ or the courts. Alberto Gonzales can go to FISA all day long and it means nothing to the NSA. The NSA monitors our enemies overseas at the direction of the Commander In Chief. If the FBI wants to do something with the leads NSA finds on possible terrorists here, then that is what they do. And they go through FISA to do so. – Prove otherwise. Now back to the post.

In this new battlefield (some on the left are so wrapped up in their fantasies they have no clue a battle is raging) our defenses are under attack by those who at best could be considered useful idiots, and at worst false comrades. Take the ACLU, now fighting for the terrorists in 20 states:

The American Civil Liberties Union is pressing more than 20 states to look into the alleged release of personal calling records to the NSA. The states include Oregon and Washington.

As I stated above, if anyone in this country is the TARGET of surveillance then they are probably under a FISA warrant. The only way to get on the NSA’s radar is to communicate with a known terrorist overseas, and then only those conversations are probably monitored (given the 72 hour grace period provided by law). What the ACLU is doing is not for protecting anyone, they want the details of the program out so terrorist will know how to circumvent the NSA. And it is possible (and, sadly, probably too easy) to circumvent. The ACLU will claim they want the details out to educate America about the evil George Bushitler. But exposing it to some exposes it too all. Which is why we cannot trust or worry about the obsessive lefties who will do anything to win votes in November. And in fact, I suggest we remove the ACLU from the taxpayer funds – it has been a long time coming.

Hey that sounds like the ACLU aim is in synch with the editor in chief of the NYT!

    Who would have thought?

After all his claims to support posting of their stories could almost be a cut and paste of the same logic.

Isn’t there a bill to stop funding for ACLU?

And what can be done to stop our taxes from going to them?

  3. lurker9876 says:

NYT and ACLU would probably stop once they see a democrat in the Oval Office.

The only way to stop the self appointed bureacrats who are ruling this country via extortion (ala Jesse Jackson), court decrees and threats of lawsuits is to defund them. If asset confiscation laws are constitutional and applicable for US citizens for misdeeds ranging from racketeering and drug dealing to using the wife’s car to pick up a prostitute, they should be applicable and constitutional to seize the assets of tax exempt (and untouchable) pseudo eelimosinary 501(c)(3) and 527 organizations which break the law or fund others, directly or indirectly, who break our laws. This includes organizatons which wash their contributions to fund unlawful and seditious activities through other organizations such as the Tides Foundation.

All seized funds should be applied to pay off the national debt. The combined assets of the Ford, Heinz , and Soros funded Foundations would make a big dent in the debt.

As I have said in other posts, the ACLU hate America, but their main agenda is money or at least it is a close second. The Civil Rights bill is coming up for renewal. Congress should change this bill to exclude the clause about the government paying the legal fees for any civil rights litagation. The democrats would do everything in their power to stop this action. The ACLU is making a mockery of our judicial system.
