The Zarqawi Domino

Published by at 7:42 am under All General Discussions,Iraq

Kerry, Murtha and the rest of the leftwing surrender monkeys are looking truly pathetic these days. After months of screaming for surrender, we find their predictions of doom and gloom were nothing more than rank partisanship of the worst kind. The persistence of the administration to see the Iraq policy through to success is paying off:

Iraq’s national security adviser said Thursday a “huge treasure” of documents and computer records was seized after the raid on terror leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi’s hideout, giving the Iraqi government the upper hand in its fight against al-Qaida in Iraq.

…

He called it a “huge treasure … a huge amount of information.”

When asked how he could be sure the information was authentic, al-Rubaie said “there is nothing more authentic than finding a thumbdrive in his pocket.”

“We believe that this is the beginning of the end of al-Qaida in Iraq,” al-Rubaie said, adding that the documents showed al-Qaida is in “pretty bad shape,” politically and in terms of training, weapons and media.

“Now we have the upper hand,” he said at a news conference in Baghdad. “We feel that we know their locations, the names of their leaders, their whereabouts, their movements, through the documents we found during the last few days.”

I posted before on the domino theory and Zarqawi being the tipping point. Persistence paid off.  There have been hundreds of raids and hundreds of killed/captured insurgents (see here).

So here we have the essence of the two views in this country. On the left are those so petrified by the clash of justice against violence they prefer to lay down to slaughter than to protect themselves, their families, their friends and their neighbors. The thought of having to fight to survive repulses them (which is why Darwin was right). And on the right we see that a force slow to act (unless you call a two year process with UN and Congressional votes a rush to war), but once committed they are committed to the point of success so no sacrifice along the way is in vain.

The reason the Democrats are weak on National Security in polls and at the ballot box is because 300 million people can see, or at least sense, the dichotomy in the two views.

Not like the left hides their blindered vision. I posted before on a very telling piece of denial that claims there is no terrorist threat in the world and we should all just accept the death’s of thousands of people and move on. Fight to protect or see the deaths as meaningless? Right or Left? Surrender or Persevere? Run and hide or stand and fight? If these are the choices the left loses and the right wins.
