2012 Will Be Another Tea Party/Libertarian Election, Like 2010

Published by at 9:02 am under 2012 Elections,All General Discussions

The Political Industrial Complex (made up of Politicians, their Handlers, Lobbyists, the News Media, etc) have  not realized that the 2012 election is going to be Part 2 of the 2010 shellacking of the government-knows-best, government-only-solutions party (i.e., Dem0crats). The fact is you cannot screw up indefinitely, throwing away people’s money and destroying their hard earned wealth, without repercussions. Voters will fire failures.

And this view of the 2012 election cycle has just been confirmed by a new Gallup poll:

A majority of Americans (54%) continue to believe the government is trying to do too many things that should be left to individuals and businesses, although that is down from the record high of 61% earlier this summer. About four in 10 Americans (39%) say the government should do more to solve the nation’s problems.

That is a 54-39% “cooked in” deficit for the Democrats right now. At the national level that spells another Carter/Mondale route. At the State level, that could have (if not for lose-lips Akin) lead to a GOP Senate. And here is the  kicker, Independents are solidly against the party of big government:

More than six in 10 independents agree that the government is doing too much.

Here this split is 2 to 1 against (62-29%). There is no way Dem GOTV can fight that kind of defection at the center. None.

Worse yet for the Dems, this is a poll of adults, not likely voters – which means the voting will be worse..

I still maintain that the 2010 insurgent voter is so fed up with government (and the two parties) they are rejecting the pollsters, and therefore represent a very large voter poll not  being sampled. If I am right, then today’s tight polls are a fiction, and Obama is the lamest of lame ducks.

One other Poll point. In 1980 in mid september, Reagan was down by 11 points to Jimmy Carter. Then the debates happened.

Maybe we’re all hoping Romney will win because he’s not 0bama,just like (t)He Won because he wasn’t George W Bush.
If every voter was like me,they just don’t want 0bama to do any more damage to the country and world and just go off to become Jimmy Carter-in-retirement II, where he can remind us on a daily basis what an angry, racist nation we are and how things would be different if only we had goiven him a chance to finish his work, blah blah blah.
What is truly scary is that there are so many Americans who are still willing to vote for this lemon again even though his first term has been an unmitigated disaster from day-one.
He has spent us into oblivion in 3 years and hasn’t fixed a single thing that led to the financial meltdown that he and his party helped perpetrate on this nation with their “Community re-investment Act” . Instead of focusing on the economy this rube passed 0bamacare and sent hiring further into the toilet. I’d like to say I’m disappointed in 0bama but I never had any doubt that he would be a disaster. A half-termer who spent most of his time running for the next higher office and never accomplished anything other than getting elected, was not going to be able to lead this country. But at least we made history by electing the first half-black man to the presidency and ended 250 years of racial animosity and 0bama got to go on Letterman and the View and take some really great vacations.
All we look forward to now is hearing about how the former first family has settled into their new digs in Hawaii and Michelle’s new career at Honolulu General as a Community outreach advisor and Barry’s latest Golf tournament for his favorite charity, Himself. Or maybe get his own late night show on the OWN.

I had lunch with a local banker yesterday. We are talking small town banking. He told me the regional chain he works for is experiencing a record low for loan applications. No-one wants to borrow money for any private commercial endeavor. He said it seems like everyone is holding their breath and waiting to see what happens in the election. Everyone with any brains in the hinterland is scared!

Links to Obama store present here too

The website I quoted felt the flag story was so outrageous they promoted it tp their main thread, so the link is:

  6. Redteam says:

Mordecai, the way I see it, EC(empty chair) is attempting to remake the country in his image and he wants to have his own flag for it.
The largest concern I have about the election is that it’s going to be stolen. Acorn and Seiu know which states and districts HAVE to go their way and they will surely vote enough dead people there to steal the election.

    Yowza. Looking good, Mitt.

Everything Obama is doing lately is just adding to my PO’d attitude. I am on the war path dealing with this election. I hate that flag put out by Obama. I think David Corn’s editing of the Romney tape is just an hidious way to distort this electtion. Obama’s obfuscation of the events over in the ME are beyond reproach. Issues such as sequestration and the ‘fiscal cliff’ seem to have no relevance to the Obama administration. Why?

Wake up people, we are at such a critical crossroads! Why are these polls going south for Romney when Obama’s petticoats, his under-pinnings of being so bad for this country, are showing with neo lights shinning on them?

  9. jan says:

I am rather unstrung tonight going over the insanity of all the Obama lies and poll manifestations…but, this piece is far more cogent in expressing what I’m feeling at the moment.

David Gelernter: Don’t say we didn’t warn you or dammit wake up!

There is a mystery about this election. The slanted national press and Romney’s weaknesses are well understood, but a large gap separates these explanations from the fact that needs explaining: this election will be close. How is that possible when Obama has shown himself to be the worst president in modern history? And when Romney (on the other hand) is unexciting but safe, serious, solid—just the right sort of man to shelter all sorts of tempest-tost Americans in a storm?

Why is the FBI involved in the investigation in Libya? The FBI is domestic, the CIA is international. Is it perhaps because the consulate is American soil?

  11. oneal lane says:

I am unable to find the “Obama flag” on his website. Has anyone seen it there or is this some internet non-sense that has gone viral.

  12. Layman says:

    RT:

The FBI is embargoed from conducting surveillance operations overseas. They can, and often do, lend their “I” (investigation) experience to foreign governments on request, especially if US citizens are involved.

By the way of clarification, the US Embassy is considered US Territory. the US consulate is not.

Oneal, it was originally on his site, I was linked there from facebook. It may have since been removed. Shows how his mind works.

It’s not a “flag”-flag (ie, not a thing made of fabric which can be run up the flagpole); it’s a poster depicting a sort-of-almost-American flag with reddish-brown stripes and the Obama logo where the blue-field-with-stars would be.

Google “Obama Logo Flag” and you’ll see it.

As I understand it, this is just another bit of merchandise America’s Dedicated Democrats can purchase at the Obama store — the proceeds go to fund his campaign.

  16. oneal lane says:

    Nonny,

I posted the above after I searched his site. I did not see those type flag t-shirts. The great uniter has a t-shirt there for almost every voter sub group. However, I did not see one for “Lesbian Pacific-Islander Postal Workers for Obama”. They might want to cover that one too.

So no, I could not verify that the Obama campaign has those type of flag t shirts. If someone can find one on his site, or one of his PAC sites please provide a link. Otherwise I write it off a some made up thing to frighten republicans.

  17. Redteam says:

Oneal, they never did put that flag on t shirts. It was a limited edition poster (I think I saw the number as 250). As soon as the Sh*t hit the fan, they took the ads down. I think the price was $35.

  18. oneal lane says:

Thanks for clearing this up Redteam.
