Iran’s Time Has Come

Published by at 3:53 pm under All General Discussions,Iran

With Ahmadinejad’s political stunt of an announcement that Iran has been able to process nuclear material and plans to expand their production, he has painted the cross hairs on his head and the heads of the Mad Mullahs of Iran.

Iran underscored its determination to proceed with its nuclear program on Wednesday, as an official announced plans to install 54,000 centrifuges to enrich uranium in the years ahead.

The Iranian show all the signs of wanting to be the first nation to commit Hari Kari en masse. With the flair of Jim Jones announcing the evenings desert menu to his followers, Iran’s madmen are daring the West, and particularly the US, to stop them. We seem to have no choice but to call their bluff. The tone in DC is changing to one that will take us down a path of few options:

Reaching a diplomatic solution over Iran’s nuclear ambitions will be difficult because Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is “not a rational human being,” a senior White House adviser said on Wednesday.

We are engaged in a diplomatic process with our European partners and the United Nations to keep them from developing such a weapon,” Karl Rove, deputy White House chief of staff, told an audience of business people at the Houston Forum.

“It’s going to be difficult. It’s going to be tough because they are led by ideologues who have a weird sense of history,” he said.

In other words, don’t hold out much hope for a diplomatic solution because that requires some minimum level of sanity on the part of the Iranians. The option to action is:

We’re going to have to use every diplomatic tool with the United Nations, the International Atomic Energy Agency and our partners in Europe to bring pressure to bear to stop this,” Rove said.

Ahmadinejad drew international condemnation for saying the Holocaust was a myth. He also said Israel should be wiped from the map.

Color me skeptical this will divert Iran and their mad leaders from their version of martyrdom.  We also are giving the UN one last chance to do something meaningful and which will produce results – not empty words and progress for Iran’s end-of-the-world battle plan.

Denouncing Iran’s successful enrichment of uranium as unacceptable to the international community, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Wednesday the U.N. Security Council must consider “strong steps” to induce Tehran to change course.

I doubt the UN has the backbone for stopping Iran.  There is supposed agreement on a nuclear armed Iran:

Asked if the United States would be running a risk of a disagreement with other members of the Council by pushing for strong measures, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said, “There is now a consensus Iran should not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapons program.”

But how to stop Iran is a whole different ball of wax.  The EU doesn’t seem to have the will to do anything pre-emptively.  I for one would find it criminal to wait until it is too late to deal with Iran.  Take out the nuclear capability and their insane leaders now.  Before they attack us.  How many dirty bombs could Iran send our way now?

The Drama of the End of the World

    Act One

Iran and Osama bin Laden: We will destroy the pig Jews and the Great Satan, which is the United States! We will do this with our Nuclear Bombs, which we are developing! Beware!

The United Nations: Oh, please do not say such things! We will all discuss this matter with our Diplomats, and everyone will be happy!

France, Germany and Russia: Yes, we will talk this matter over, while we sell our arms and Nuclear Materials and get oil too. Hahaha! And we will be rich, rich, rich! Hahaha!

    Act Two

Iran and Osama bin Laden: Now we will die happy, and go to our Virgins! For we have destroyed the pigs Jews and also the Great Satan, the United States! Ha!

The United Nations: Oh, if only we had listened to the Warnings that were given to us, and had done something! But we were too foolish! Woe is us!

France, Germany and Russia: Oh, alas, alas! We were such fools! If only we had been honest! But now it is too late! For we are all dying now. Curses!

Iran and Osama bin Laden: Hahaha! We are coming now, Allah and Mohammad! We are coming! Hurrah!

    The End
