Toomey Running Away In PA Senate Race

Published by at 7:42 am under 2010 Elections,All General Discussions

The poll that made headlines in PA when it came out by showing a surprise 3% lead for Democrat Joe Sestak is now, less than a week later, showing GOP contender Pat Toomey running away with the race (click to enlarge):

Which, as I noted yesterday, is in line with the early voting trends in PA (heavily tilted towards GOP).

I’m glad they’ve finally decided to go with the leader, but a poll that shows a swing that big in less than a week on no news has got serious, serious, problems.

    nice chart, btw.

  2. WWS,

The Early vote totals will change a lot of “Final Polls” for the Sunday/Monday before election day.

Early voting in Texas ends this Friday.

We may see some lawyering up on the recount in various parts of the US.

Tagging onto Pa with an Alaska Update:
(Note: the Senate candidates followed the Gov candidates)
#1. Both the ( R) and (D) Gubernatorial candidates here were more Adult … more knowledgeable … made better arguments for their positions … than ANY of our (3) Senatorial Candidates at the debate Oct. 24…
#2. Our Alaska moderators… e-mailers … man-on-the-street … All asked better questions than anyone on the national network/Cable/ radio shows … Kudos to them …
#3. Senator Murkowski uttered a pukingly arrogant … insulting (anyone anyone… Google some synonyms please) statement … (And if it’s not clear … we heard it IN CONTEXT) …
Lisa … quote “…Scott is not ready to lead. Joe is not fit to lead…” … and… yes … the groans and jeers from the audience were spontaneous …
Sigh … Is it too late for May & me to move to Florida so we can vote for Marco Rubio … ?
May says we may have to go back to Joe… Lisa may have lost the election with that snarky remark …
    Joe (in the primary) … (Scott but he’s a Dem) … Lisa … undecided … Joe…
    eeny, larry, curly, moe…
you tellin’ me there’s only 7 days left to go? …
WWs… do we have permission to call in sick on Nov 2 …?
Hay… It’s YOUR dam fault … I blame you Southerners for making Alaska a state in 1958 and thus giving current almost 700,000+ peeps (2) Senators … Bush is unavailable to blame …

I thought it was pretty funny to learn that Joe Miller’s big “ethics violation” turned to be that he used his officemates computers to vote more than once in an online poll. LOL! stupid, yes. but compare to Harry Reid’s staffer who conspired to use Reid’s office to help a suspected terrorist evade the FBI:

“A former aide to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid repeatedly lied to federal immigration and FBI agents and submitted false federal documents to the Department of Homeland Security to cover up her illegal seven-year marriage to a Lebanese national who was the subject of an Oklahoma City Joint Terror Task Force investigation, FoxNews.com has learned.”

The “marriage” was a sham, and she did it for the money:

“Diana Tejada, Reid’s Hispanic Press Secretary, admitted to receiving payment for “some of her expenses” in exchange for fraudulently marrying Bassam Mahmoud Tarhini in 2003, strictly so he could obtain permanent U.S. residency, according to court documents.”

And she DOES still work for Harry, who apparently pulled strings to make sure that she never faced any legal consequences for her actions. Although perhaps we should let Reid off the hook since she wasn’t working for him at the time?

“Tejada didn’t start working for Reid until October 2008, and confessed to investigators the following month. Her perjury and obstruction of justice took place before she went to work for Reid, while she worked at La Raza.”

How nice to know that Reid is hiring staffers from La Raza, one of the most radical, racist, and anti-American groups in this country! If anyone didn’t know, La Raza not only advocates total amnesty and the end of all border controls whatsoever, they also advocate the violent overthrow of the American Govm’t. How nice to know the company Harry Reid keeps.

It’s not Mr. Miller’s use of the computers that bothers us… It’s his dancing around questions about it …
I have seen him being asked the same question (4) times before the moderator just gave up trying to get a straight answer …
We will be voting for the least worst candidate this round …
btw… dunno if anyone else thinks this is funny … but May was happy when we received one of those glossy 8×11 political flyers today… Said… “These make really good dust pans.”
