Liberal Arrogance On Parade

Published by at 2:03 pm under All General Discussions

This is why there is a political tsunami rising through out the land against everyone in DC (not just the Democrats, not just the politicians, but the entire political industrial complex):

Too Dumb to Thrive

Absolutely amazing poll results from CNN today about the $787 stimulus package: nearly three out of four Americans think the money has been wasted. On second thought, they may be right: it’s been wasted on them. Indeed, the largest single item in the package–$288 billion–is tax relief for 95% of the American public. This money is that magical $60 to $80 per month you’ve been finding in your paycheck since last spring. Not a life changing amount, but helpful in paying the bills.

The next highest amount was $275 billion in grants and loans to states. This is why your child’s teacher wasn’t laid off…and why the fire station has remained open, and why you’re not paying even higher state and local taxes to close the local budget hole.

….

It is impossible to be a citizen if you don’t make an effort to understand the most basic activities of your government. It is very difficult to thrive in an increasingly competitive world if you’re a nation of dodos.

Joe Klein is an idiot. There was plenty of wasted government money to pare down before the incompetents went after teachers. But worse than that is the fact WE know the money was wasted by reviewing the stupid reports on Recovery.org. We know in some cases millions were spent to save 1 job and $5k was spent saving a couple hundred jobs. And for knowing this better than some washed up, has been, legend-in-his-own-mind, journalist we are called ‘dumb’.

For knowing 95% of the JOB CREATING money is still unspent we are ‘dumb’. For knowing $60 a month is not a ‘living’ wage by anyone’s measure, we are ‘dumb’.

And for being willing to throw the incompetent bums out we are ‘dumb’? Yeah, and someone who insults the vast majority of voters who inhabit the independent center of the country is the sign of pure genius.

One message for you crazy Joe – you have been FOREVER blacklisted by me and this website. You are too dumb to warrant even a passing glance.

Watch out for the march of the Dodos!

aren’t the Obama tax breaks actually just a change in withholding.

A tax break means your tax liability goes down, say from 28 to 25%. In this case, the withhold tables were changed.

Basically, you got to keep your money upfront rather than getting a tax rebate check in April.

I think a lot of people are going to be sadly disappointed come April 15, when they find out that they will not get a tax refund.

There is one very hopeful thought to take out of this article – if leading liberals and Obama apologists are starting to attack the idea of Democracy itself (Klein does exactly that) then we know that THEY know that they’re losing badly.

And of course, they’re reacting with rage. That’s another nice thing in this article – getting to watch Joe Klein call 75% of Americans idiots since they don’t buy into his personal political preferences. Great way to win elections for your side, Joe! Keep it up, that always works!!!

  3. Terrye says:

Well you know what? If Obama had just said, we are going to let you keep a few bucks a month to help pay the bills and we are going to send money to states so that they can avoid {for awhile} the need to lay off state workers..then maybe people would not feel it was wasted…but it was supposed to keep unemployment from going above 8%, that was what was promised and that did not happen.

  4. Wilbur Post says:

Are you SURE he actually said that???? Because Joe Klein’s mouth is so firmly attached to Obama’s butt, his words are often, well, garbled.

  5. grumpyguy says:

First off, go to Recovery.gov, which this idiot didn’t and you will see that only $92 billion has been spent for this rebate.

Then remember, this rebate goes to those who don’t pay taxes?

It isn’t a cut in taxes, it is another welfare program for 50% of America.

And really, is Klein so out of touch that he thinks $40 a month, actually for a single person that would be $33 a month extra in your paycheck.

    Big deal.

You know what I want, my federal tax rate to fall to 12%. Now that would stimulate the economy.

  6. Fai Mao says:

12% would be nice! I pay 17% in Hong Kong and I mean that is what we pay. We actually pay more here than we did in the US on an equivilent income because there are fewer deductions. But the system is easier to understand

    There was ..

$116.2 billion for the $400 payroll tax credit for workers earning up to $75,000; married couples filing jointly get $800 for income up to $150,000

$90 billion for Federal aid to states for Medicaid spending

$69.75 billion for Middle-income taxpayers get an exemption from the alternative minimum tax of $46,700 for an individual and $70,950 for a married couple

$40.6 billion for Aid to states to balance education budgets, prevent cutbacks and modernize schools

$29.9 billion for Grants for highway improvements

$26.96 billion for Extension of jobless benefits for up to 33 weeks

$24.75 billion for 65% subsidy for laid-off workers to continue paying premiums for former employer’s health plan for nine months

$17.5 billion for Incentive payments to hospitals and physicians who computerize medical-records systems

$14.83 billion for Increased eligibility for refundable child tax credit, with all income over $3000 qualifying

$14.2 billion for One-time payment (bribe) of $250 for retirees, disabled people, SSI recipients, railroad retirees and disabled veterans

… and many others of lesser value (and some education ones that were larger).

Granted that all of these are helping people, except for the highway money, it could be argued that none of these will generate a meaningful lasting job.

What we have here is the culmination of the Second Reconstruction which started in the 1960’s when the YANKEES decided they needed to punish the south and stop industry from leaving the rust belt to move south to take advantage of the friendlier climate, not the least of which were the anti union right to work laws. The only thing is, they did not count on powerful Southern politicians with seniority like Strom Thrumond, Richard Russell, Al Gore, Sr., Wilbur Mills etc. turning the tide and making it apply nationwide. Does anyone remember the Boston riots when the courts ordered Boston’s schools integrated? Now that their insidious plan to reinstitute Reconstruction on the south has progressed to the point where we now have the descendants of former slaves running the country, Carpet baggers have descended on Washington DC to “advise” and “run” things under the guise of “assisting” our naive and undereducated affirmative action college graduates who are now in charge, just as they did during the first Reconstruction after the Civil War. And Guess what…….This new bred of Carpetbaggers are looting the treasury and borrowing money from future generations to pay for projects that are not being built, just as they did in the South 100 years ago. When Reconstruction was finally ended, and literate people were allowed to once again run for public office in SC, they discovered that the state owed over $50 billion in bonded debt for projects that were never built and the money was unaccounted for. Does that sound familiar? This new breed of Carpet baggers have indebted the entire country to the tune of over $2 trillion to pay for bogus projects in districts that don’t exist. It’s deje vu all over again. It took South Carolina over 100 years to pay off the debt
these federally santioned thieves loaded it down with. Just how long will our country have to live in poverty to repay the trillions Obama and his carpetbagging friends have made off with?

Note: After the Civil War, a dollar would buy a lot more than it will today. Check out the old census records and you will see that family owned farms were valued at $150 to $800, and anyone who had assets of over $1,000 was considered rich.

This PPP poll should have Joe Klein’s head going into orbit

Americans do not trust the major tv news operations in the country- except for Fox News.
Our newest survey looking at perceptions of ABC News, CBS News, CNN, Fox News, and NBC News finds Fox as the only one that more people say they trust than distrust. 49% say they trust it to 37% who do not.
CNN does next best at a 39/41 spread, followed by NBC at 35/44, CBS at 32/46, and ABC at 31/46.
Predictably there is a lot of political polarization in which outlets people trust. 74% of Republicans trust Fox News, but no more than 23% trust any of the other four sources. We already knew that conservatives don’t trust the mainstream media but this data is a good prism into just how deep that distrust runs.
For Democrats the numbers are a complete opposite- a majority trust all of ABC, CBS, CNN, and NBC while only 30% have faith in Fox News. Continuing the trend in our polling over the last few months that independents hate everything, a plurality of them distrust all five outlets we looked at.
NBC is the most popular choice among Democrats at a 62/17 spread.

    How Obama undermines US allies

Obama has made his own personality and identity cornerstones of US diplomacy. For those worried that US President Barack Obama is particularly antagonistic toward Israel, there’s good news and bad news: The good news is that Israel is hardly Obama’s obsession; the bad news is that his administration’s conduct toward it is consistent with its pattern of backing away from embattled American allies – a predictable byproduct of Obama’s approach to foreign policy through dictator outreach. Obama, more than any recent president, has made his own personality and identity cornerstones of American diplomacy. He assumes his potent charm can bend…
