More Taxpayer Paid Bonuses For Failed CEOs

Published by under All General Discussions

Here we go again – the power brokers raiding the treasury to line their pockets: Fannie Mae is due to pay retention bonuses of between $470,000 and $611,000 this year to some executives, despite enormous losses at the government-backed mortgage company. Fannie’s main rival, Freddie Mac, also plans to pay such bonuses but hasn’t yet provided details. […]

The Rising Tide Of Anger At DC

Published by under All General Discussions

People are getting rightfully fed up across this nation with the ineptitude of our so-called “national leaders”. They are sure leading the pack in incompetence category! The latest “its not me” round of denial about how 73 people walked away with million dollar plus bonuses culled from taxpayers pockets is a nauseating spectacle. The claims of “we […]

AIG Paid Obama Donations

Published by under All General Discussions

So let me get this straight. AIG supports Senator Obama so he can run for President by paying over $100 grand. Then President Obama gets into office and he and Senator Dodd (who also got paid over $100 grand by AIG) fork over billions of dollars of OUR money to AIG, who then pays out […]

Obama: Military Personnel Owe America For Being Injured In War

Published by under All General Discussions

Update: Had to borrow this picture from Hot Air that really drives home the absurdity of this whole mess. Ed Morrissey does his usual excellent job of distilling this down to its essence: If the country needs more revenue streams, it should find some other way to find them than the backs of our wounded […]

DC Dems Did Not Deflect AIG Scandal – UPDATED!

Published by under All General Discussions

Update: So now we know it WAS liberals in DC who allowed AIG the loophole to award bonuses with taxpayer money – in fact it was a Democrat Senator who has been a top recipient of AIG campaign donations: While the Senate was constructing the $787 billion stimulus last month, Dodd added an executive-compensation restriction […]

Doubts About The Obama Administration Continue To Grow

Published by under All General Discussions

Those of us who raised the warning flags about Obama’s lack of experience (both politically and as an executive) are going to be proved correct much sooner than I expected. President Obama is floundering, his own party sees it. And now he is going back to the only thing he knows how to do […]

Democrats & Obama Worried About Voter Backlash

Published by under All General Discussions

The New York Times is reporting the Democrats in DC are all of a sudden worried that the voters are rising up against their reckless and unfocused policies. Before I get to the NYT piece I have to wonder what in the world brought this crystalizing moment of sanity to the DC liberals who have […]

The Insanity Of Liberalism

Published by under All General Discussions

Only a liberal would assume taxing a benefit will make it cheaper – I kid you not: The Obama administration is signaling to Congress that the president could support taxing some employee health benefits, as several influential lawmakers and many economists favor, to help pay for overhauling the health care system. The ‘problem’ with the […]

Cap & Trade = Paying Tribute To The Climate Gods & Their High Priests

It is amazing how those who do  not learn form history end up repeating it – in all it glorious stupidity. We are at the cusp of a decision for mankind: do we kneel in homage to man-made gods who supposedly wish to punish mankind, or do we remain modern humans who work to unlock […]

Screwing Up In Reverse

If Obama must screw up, can he do it more in this direction than the one he tends to head in: On Wednesday, only two days after he lifted President Bush’s executive order banning federal funding of stem cell research that requires the destruction of human embryos, President Barack Obama signed a law that explicilty bans […]
