My predictions here

In VA Kilgore 51, Kaine 47, Potts 2.

This is the result per Drudge at 8:00 PM

REPUBLICAN LEADS IN VA GOV RACE… KILGORE [R] 52.19% KAINE [D] 45.65% [31% REPORTING]

8:07 PM

REPUBLICAN LEADS IN VA GOV RACE… KILGORE [R] 52.59% KAINE [D] 45.29% [37% REPORTING]

8:09 PM

VA GOV RACE… KILGORE [R] 45.74% KAINE [D] 52.14% [39% REPORTING]

8:17 PM

VA GOV RACE… KILGORE [R] 45.74% KAINE [D] 52.14% [39.45% REPORTING]
VA LT GOV RACE… BOWLING [R] 49.83% BYRNE [D] 49.14% [34.09% REPORTING]
VA AG RACE… MCDONNELL [R] 49.03% DEED [D] 52.14% [30.87% REPORTING]

8:21 PM

VA GOV RACE… KILGORE [R] 46.29% KAINE [D] 51.55% [48.19% REPORTING]
VA LT GOV RACE… BOWLING [R] 50.21% BYRNE [D] 49.60% [45.42% REPORTING]
VA AG RACE… MCDONNELL [R] 49.51% DEED [D] 50.39% [40.60% REPORTING]

8:30 PM

VA GOV RACE… KILGORE [R] 46.57% KAINE [D] 51.18% [55.56% REPORTING]
VA LT GOV RACE… BOWLING [R] 50.10% BYRNE [D] 49.72% [50.95% REPORTING]
VA AG RACE… MCDONNELL [R] 49.20% DEED [D] 50.68% [48.97% REPORTING]

8:40 PM At this point I must say Potts is taking too much from Kilgore. Soon, if this holds, it will be too hard for Kilgore to come back.

VA GOV RACE… KILGORE [R] 46.58% KAINE [D] 51.15% [63.48% REPORTING]
VA LT GOV RACE… BOWLING [R] 51.20% BYRNE [D] 48.62% [60.51% REPORTING]
VA AG RACE… MCDONNELL [R] 50.01% DEED [D] 49.88% [57.67% REPORTING]

8:48 PM Finally, some movement

VA GOV RACE… KILGORE [R] 47.02% KAINE [D] 50.73% [67.35% REPORTING]
VA LT GOV RACE… BOWLING [R] 51.30% BYRNE [D] 48.52% [65.33% REPORTING]
VA AG RACE… MCDONNELL [R] 50.50% DEED [D] 49.39% [61.95% REPORTING]

8:59 PM Not good for Kilgore. I had the precentages right in my prediction – just flipped the names it seems. To be honest, Byrnes worries me a lot more the Kaine.

VA GOV RACE… KILGORE [R] 46.95% KAINE [D] 50.80% [72.34% REPORTING]
VA LT GOV RACE… BOWLING [R] 51.58% BYRNE [D] 48.24% [70.57% REPORTING]
VA AG RACE… MCDONNELL [R] 50.56% DEED [D] 49.35% [67.72% REPORTING]

9:07 PM all depends where these last votes come from

VA GOV RACE… KILGORE [R] 47.13% KAINE [D] 50.61% [74.40% REPORTING]
VA LT GOV RACE… BOWLING [R] 51.43% BYRNE [D] 48.40% [72.79% REPORTING]
VA AG RACE… MCDONNELL [R] 50.78% DEED [D] 49.13% [70.20% REPORTING]

I see some calling this for Kaine at Drudge.

9:15 PM Last one folks – time for a scotch. Potts = Idiot. Just a reminder to national reps and pundits: the reign of reps in solid red VA ended when we had conservative civil wars….

Got it?

VA GOV RACE… KILGORE [R] 47.07% KAINE [D] 50.68% [77.86% REPORTING]
VA LT GOV RACE… BOWLING [R] 51.54% BYRNE [D] 48.29% [76.17% REPORTING]
VA AG RACE… MCDONNELL [R] 50.63% DEED [D] 49.29% [74.07% REPORTING]

I see that too. Whether or not the writing is on the wall, why can not these news outlets just fringing wait till all votes are counted? I just can’t quite get it. The mucked up everything.

All the pro-tax RINOs didn’t help either. Both on the merits of taxes and because they insisted that without big tax increases the state budget and Virginia economy would crash and burn — and then we ended up with the biggest surpluses in history, which should have been no surprise because it has been apparent for a year that we are in a very strong recovery. But will they give all that ill-gotten money back to the taxpayers??? Ha, ha, ha, ha!

Republican tax increases + lies about the reason for the increases = defeat for Republicans every time.

Another reason is the immigration problem in Northern Virginia. Too many Dems and other libs from other states are moving into the area and, more and more, they are able to prevail over the strong Republican countryside.
