Pelosi’s Madness

Published by at 12:42 am under All General Discussions,Iraq

Conservatives like war – that is the latest lick-spittle babbling coming from the House Speaker who is just frustrated she cannot act as Empress of the Realm:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi lashed out at Republicans on Thursday, saying they want the Iraq war to drag on and are ignoring the public’s priorities.

“They like this war. They want this war to continue,” Pelosi, D- Calif., told reporters. She expressed frustration over Republicans’ ability to force majority Democrats to yield ground on taxes, spending, energy, war spending and other matters.

The woman is simply mad with frustration. We don’t like war, we prefer to vanquish our enemies so they will not rise up to attack us again. We don’t want our children and loved ones to die in Ira. It is one of my biggest fears as my son heads for a military career to protect this nation – I am not ‘enjoying’ his willingness to put it all on the line for this country, I am simply very proud of him. We don’t want dead Iraqis either (though that is under the control of the Islamo Fascists, not us – we don’t bomb iraqis like al-Qaeda does). Pelosi’s mad rantings are a clear sign the woman has cracked, she has lost her mind. She can’t pull defeat out of her marginal majority so she lashes out at those who went into this war to win it – and still see that as a possible (and now probable) outcome.

We don’t glorify war, we honor those who fought, died and sacrificed. Recognizing and appreciating what those who have fought to avoid another 9-11 is not some sadistic enjoyment of bloodshed. The woman owes an apology everyone who is mature (and sane) enough to recognize the sacrifices of our military and work to make those sacrifices of some lasting value to America and the world.

Pelosi is pissed because she predicted failure in Iraq. She sided with our enemies and hoped to get political gain from it. We may prefer success at any cost, but at least we are not treasonous weasels who try and find personal gain from war. The vulturess has shown she is upset she cannot gain from the death and sacrifice in Iraq – and she has exposed her crude and craven inner self.

It is time you stepped down Madam Speaker. And if it takes a national referendum to force you from your buzzard’s perch – so be it. I propose we impeach those trying to lose the war in Iraq, not those working (and succeeding) to win it.

Amen, AJ! As my son prepares to deploy to Afganistan, I am more than a little bit irate at government “leaders” who seem to want nothing more than defeat for America so that they can be in power.

That power mongers need to GO! If anyone needs to be impeached it is the persons attempting to orchestrate defeat from within our own government.

hey…how about running the entire quote with the entire context.

It seems to me that you say things which can’t all be true. You don’t like war, but have the opinion that if you could just kill the “right” folks a bit faster all would be well. You don’t glorify war but you do glorify those who participate in war. You claim that somehow or another that what is happening in Iraq is going to prevent another 9-11, but what have we really accomplished there. I also must point out that there are MANY people who are making quite a bit of money on this war, and I am surprised to see how many of those folks are in a position to call for war. Just sayin’ that you might want to really consider what your family is sacrificing for. WMD’s, nasty tyrants, democracy, GWOT, stability…..
I think I could put together a bunch of pre-schoolers and get the same results we have seen in Iraq. Maybe not but it ain’t a great stretch. As an ex-military guy, I know if given a mission with clear objectives my unit could deliver. It is obvious to me that what is happening in Iraq is what was wanted in Iraq OR our military has been taken over by the keystone cops.

  4. norm says:

oh yeah…and iraq didn’t attack us…so it would be hard for them to “rise up and attack us again”.
if your argument depends on taking quotes out of context and outright lies…it’s really not much of an argument is it?

    T-ray,

bunch of pre-schooler against al-Qaeda? Wow – aren’t you impressive!

    LOL!

  6. browngreengold says:

Oh and Germany didn’t attack us either…..

    Laughable logic.

    Absolutely laughable.

Iran tried the same thing… I guess you guys are on the same side.

reading dis-advantaged? this original post said we prefer to vanquish our enemies so that they do not rise up and attack us again. iraq never attacked us. beyond that…comparing iraq to ww2 germany shows the ridiculousness that you far right fringies are capable of.

I agree Pelosi’s comments are inaccurate and stupid. Just as stupid as Republican politicians saying that liberals are deafitist, unamerican and terrorist coodlers just because we disagree with Bush’s Irag policy and foreign policy in general. You can disagree with democrats/liberals all you want about Bush’s success or lack there of in these regards, but why the hell do some conservatives always have to accuse them of being unpatriotic?
