WaPo Notes The Resurrection Of Bush’s Presidency

This article in the WaPO is too funny to read. Basically it says Bush was right on many important topics the media claimed he was wrong on (Iraq, North Korea, the economy, the deficits). But so far (hint, hint) he is not getting the credit he deserveds.

Oh, he will get the credit – not to worry. The final year of an 8 year administration is a strange thing to watch. By 7 years in the itch for new leadership is strong and all two term presidents are at their lowest approval. Then something happens in the final year. It is part “the devil you know” and very much a retrospective acknowledgement that our leader did well in putting up with us and all our complaining and demanding. In that last year we tend to get nostalgic and become thankful – and the support rises to a level very near the peak level the president had during his entire term. Bush will probably not see that happen, but his support numbers will go up.

Why? As the article points out – he deserves it for getting so much so right during his term.

Oh, geeze, ya wanna bet?? You are not just wrong on this, you are hilariously, deliriously, imperiously WRONG WRONG WRONG, AJ.

I say Bush will go down as the worst, most corrupt, most destructive president in the history of the Republic. Nostalgic for Bush . . . for an imbecile imitating a fool portraying an idiot?? I think not.

He will live out his miserable existence as the most reviled man in American history.

Soothsayer, Soothsayer…calm down. I know it’s hard to stomach how wrong you have been, even with proof of the success of recent months, but let not your heart be troubled. There will always be bumps in the road that you can applaud, at the expense of American lives.
