My Prayers To Kanye West

Published by at 7:04 am under All General Discussions

I don’t really like Kanye West. His outbursts against the war were ridiculous efforts to showboat. But political differences don’t really amount to much when it comes to the tragic death of a loved one. Kanye West’s mother, an incredibly supportive and fun-lovng woman from the few video snippets I have seen, died after cosmetic surgery. No one should be at risk of their life over plastic surgery. It seems clear something went seriously wrong. Possiblt even criminally negligent wrong. Something was missed during the pre-op checks or something went wrong during or after surgery. No one should die from this kind of operation. She was in for a really long time (~8 hours in one report), but I don’t know what was being done to judge if that reflects anything important. Investigations are proceeding of course.

I just want to let Kanye know I found his mother to be a rare gift. Seeing her up on stage singing with him was really something. He is a very lucky man to have had a mom like that. So I hope he remembers all the good she brought and doesn’t get bitter and angry from all the pain and loss, and especially from the shock that will come when it is determined what happened. Kanye could become as frustrated and angry as he did over awards and the war. I hope he doesn’t get so bitter he forgets to live a good life in her memory. I can tell she will be missed, she was an incredibly bright star.

This is very sad – wonder if it was the anesthesia. that’s much more dangerous than is generally acknowledged. This reminds me of the sad case of Ron Springs, ex-Dallas Cowboy’s player. He went in for an operation on an elbow cyst (minor) on Oct 16 of this year. During surgery, he slipped into a coma and hasn’t woken up yet – doctors say there is very little chance that he ever will.

    How very, very sad.

No matter how much any of us may agree or disagree with his views and actions at the end of the day he’s still human. He still hurts. He, like any of the rest of us in the same situation, has long days ahead of him.

I wish Kanye and his family the very best as they go through this tough time.
