In The Pocket Of Special Interests, Say Forget America

Published by at 8:08 am under 2008 Elections,All General Discussions

Want to know how powerful MoveOn.org is with Democrats? MoveOn provides the life blood – money – of any political campaign. And it has tons of money (thanks to loop hole in election laws) from a few fringe liberals (Soros to name one) which means it can throw out opposition ads with wild abandon. This can be seen in the Lamont Leiberman race in CT for the Senate. MoveOn was able to set up a far left challenger to the mainstream Leiberman and get him tossed out during the primary.

And we see this influence in Sherrod Brown of OH who, as a freshman Senator in a dysfunctional Dem Senate, was clearly cowered into not condeming MoveOn’s childish smear of a great man, General Petraeus:

More than $300,000 poured into Sen. Sherrod Brown’s campaign coffers from members of the powerful liberal political group MoveOn.org, helping to fuel the Avon Democrat’s 2006 victory over Republican Sen. Mike DeWine, records show.

Yesterday, Brown said through an aide that the group’s support had nothing to do with him voting against condemning MoveOn.org for its recent full-page New York Times ad blasting Gen. David Petraeus, commander of U.S. forces in Iraq, before his war report to Congress. The ad read, ”General Petraeus or General Betray Us? Cooking the books for the White House.”

Either way Brown loses. The good folks of Ohio will not accept the slander of a man who spent his career risking his life for this country. But his support must be so thin and wobbley he cannot lose the fringe vote of the leftward fever swamps. So when he had to make a choice Brown picked self preservation over doing the right thing. I have not seen the vote yet but a lot of Democrats just made the same choice. Hold onto their impotent power or do what is right and restore the good General’s honor.

The Dems tried a lame fig leaf to cover for the Kerry and his lies about the military in the 1970’s. It was a joke effort. Kerry is a well established liar about atrocities – he admits he had no first hand experience of actions reminiscent of Genghis Khan’s. Unless you count his own ‘heroic’ act of shooting a man in the back running from the battle field.

Kerry is more like MoveOn than he is like Gen Petraeus, and in fact couldn’t hold a candle to the good General. The attempted diversion makes the duplicity of the 25 Democrats who just licked the boots of MoveOn even more disgusting. Here are the names of MoveOn’s Senate sock-puppets:

Akaka (D-HI)
Bingaman (D-NM)
Boxer (D-CA)
Brown (D-OH)
Byrd (D-WV)
Clinton (D-NY)
Dodd (D-CT)
Durbin (D-IL)
Feingold (D-WI)
Harkin (D-IA)
Inouye (D-HI)
Kennedy (D-MA)
Kerry (D-MA)
Lautenberg (D-NJ)
Levin (D-MI)
Menendez (D-NJ)
Murray (D-WA)
Reed (D-RI)
Reid (D-NV)
Rockefeller (D-WV)
Sanders (I-VT)
Schumer (D-NY)
Stabenow (D-MI)
Whitehouse (D-RI)
Wyden (D-OR)

Few surprises here, especially Kerry who is a long time slanderer of our military. The original “Scott Thomas” Beauchamp (who enlisted just to send back lies about the troops he served with for political reasons, not to “serve the country”). The bad news for the Dems is their rotten core is 50% of their base. And America cannot stand the rotten core. They demand mature respect for those who served unless someone can PROVE that respect is not warranted. MoveOn did nothing but throw more mud on the Dems and themselves. But what do you expent from petulent children like MoveOn? Leadership? Riiiiiggght.

If we voted those above out of the office, would that convey a message to the likes of moveon that their contributions were and will be useless?

  2. Boghie says:

So 75% of our Senate representatives condemn MoveOn.org
25% voted to approve of the ad…

    Which is the mainstream???

    75%

    or

    25%

Those falling in the 25% are the raging Moonbats of the American political system – the problem is that they are about 50% of the Liberal Movement.
