The Muslim War Against al-Qaeda Is On

Published by at 7:40 am under All General Discussions,Iraq

Lots of people in America keep wondering when Muslims will stand up and denounce al-Qaeda and their Islamo Fascists ways. A lot of people wonder if we are in this War on Terror alone, trying to make Muslims act responsibly, they claim to not see Muslims wanting to act responsibly. Clearly they are not focused on Iraq where Sunnis there have thrown off the bloody jackboot of al-Qaeda and are now openly fighting them – claiming al-Qaeda is the enemy of Allah and swearing on The Koran to destroy al-Qaeda. There is no stronger indication the Muslim war for the heart of Islam is now on and we need to support the side fighting al-Qaeda.

But if that is not obvious enough, then we can now simply look at how al-Qaeda views the Iraqi Sunnis:

An al-Qaida front group warns it will hunt down and kill Sunni Arab tribal leaders who cooperate with the U.S. and its Iraqi partners in the wake of the assassination of the leader of the revolt against the terror movement.

The statements were posted Friday and Saturday on Islamist Web sites, and among other things claimed responsibility for the assassination of Abdul-Sattar Abu Risha, who spearheaded the uprising against al-Qaida in Anbar province west of the capital.

In claiming responsibility for Abu Risha’s death Thursday, the Islamic State said it had formed “special security committees” to track down and “assassinate the tribal figures, the traitors, who stained the reputations of the real tribes by submitting to the soldiers of the Crusade” and the Shiite-led government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

“Today we are on the door steps of a new era … Today we witness the fallacy of the Western civilization and the renaissance of the Islamic giant,” al-Baghdadi said in a half hour audio file.

This is a war just like the one were the dreams of Nazi superiority was going to vanquish their enemies and put them at them at the rightful head of humanity. Those visions of the annointed ones last century led to killings and torture and all forms of barbarism that tarnished humanity forever. And now we see it rising again, trying to take freedom and hope from people who have taken a path into the future along side America and the West. How is it people can see this fight for heart of Ilsam and not know that it will dictate the state of the world for probably a century or more to come?

If Islam turns to the dark side of al-Qaeda (and I am not trying to be humorous here) then we will have a religious war with all the fervor and sacrifice those kinds of emotion fed conflicts bring. Their will be uprisings across the globe, whereever Islam as a reasonable presence. It will run for generations.

But if we stand by the Sunnis and show Islam and the Arab world the atrocities al-Qaeda inflicted on their fellow Muslims, then we can shatter the illusions peddled by al-Qaeda swiftly and completely. Because that is all al-Qaeda is – an illusion. A fantasy were one people dominate the rest. And a variation of that theme will rise up from time to time to collide with democracy, where people from all religions, beliefs, cultures and races can live happily together admiring their difference, proud of their diverse communities.

Which future we leave our children and our children’s children depends on the choices we make right now in Iraq. We must stand by our Iraqi allies who are the key to shattering al-Qaeda’s fantasies, which entice young men to fight us and kill us. The Sunnis are the victims of al-Qaeda, they can speak to Islam of the horrors of al-Qaeda. And the Sunnis can be the one who, in the end, vanquish al-Qaeda. We needed this internal battle in Islam in order to make sure there even was a choice for Muslims that would allow co-existence with the West. Now that we have it we cannot let this opportunity to destroy al-Qaeda in the minds of Muslims slip away. We cannot give up now.

AJStrata, agreed but those Muslims who fight against Al Qaeda are going to have to come to the same conclusion as Omar of “The Iraq, the Model”.

By bringing this out in the open, the fight in Iraq, it is plain for the world to see what the fight is. What a blunder is was to attack the United States and this President. He saw the fight for what it was and stirred the pot for the world to see. I hope that soon the Shea of Iraq will see that Iran power centers are as bad as bin Laden.

Good one AJ. A point most often overlooked is exactly when did this change in paradigm start? What caused it? Somewhere in that answer you will find Iraq. Because what is happening in Iraq… is what exposed AlQueda and other extremists and their propeganda to the world for what it is and turned people against them from the inside out.

Previous to that, things were a little different. As I recall even after 9/11 there wasn’t exactly the response that one would have hoped for from the Islamic community as well as the entire region of the world. Unless…one regards dancing, smiling with a poster of UBL and images of the towers exploding as being some form of empathy. Mostly, it was “quiet”. Very, very quiet. Too quiet. If they were confronted for “some” kind of response…there was always the empathy and condemnation of the actions up front…followed by a “but” at the end..and some kind of moral qualification for their empathy and condemnation. We even had some here, like M Moore and Choamsky (that OBL evidently approves of), who made such twisted moral relevance intellectual games out of it that it was sickening to even watch the process…..ie., removing all context, using statistical inferences that did not exist (like A happend, B happened, therefore A “caused” B), etc.,

Even after 9/11, people I “knew”, would say things like….this is terrible BUT..you should have known this would come because of your imperilist gov and oppresive exported capitilism and colonialism…or oil that we steal for 80 dollars a barrel, or (name your favorite lefty arrogant moral relevance argument here), etc..etc. Hell..they teach that shit in college these days (along with course like “the perpetual whiteness of barbie).

But, my, my..things have changed haven’t they. And ask yourself “why” have they changed. Ask yourself “when” did they change. What caused this HUGE shift in paradaigm within Islam, the ME/Gulf region, even here in the U.S.?

This shift we are witnessing did not happen when we invaded afghanistan….something most would argue was justified. I say most to remind you that there were some who opposed even THAT—see above. Events in Afghanistan did nothing to bring on this shift in paradigm and basic understanding that we see today. No..it was Iraq that did that. It was the events that took place AFTER directly confronting Saddam and his gov and invading the country while everybody and their mother was throwing moral relativist arguments in our face. Not the “singular” event of simply invading Iraq ….no…it was the media event beheadings, the untold and sometimes unspeakable brutality and horror that these foreign jihadis fighting on behalf of AlQueda and other Salafist causes have brought to the people of Iraq. It was also in the Iraqi’s themselves..in their orgasm of blood lust, revenge and spasms of delight dancing in the blood of their neighbor, raping their children, etc., counting coup on a centuries old debt….and seeing/watching/experience the real results that it brings. It is the exposure of themselves, who they are, their underling beliefs as well as religious frauds intent only on manipulating the Koran to enable their political and murderous goals. The man-eating tiger was loose in IRaq…but it was eating “muslims”….ALL of them. What the invasion of Iraq did..was pull the thread, that unravelled the veil and exposed all of that for what it was. And THAT..is what changed the paradigm of this war and the larger war on terror.

It has exposed them not as hero warriors of Islam, but as murdering thugs who have no bounds of perversion and lust in blood. And so now..the people who used to cheer the tiger when it was mauling and eating Americans, or sinners against Allah, etc.,….are hunting it down to kill it…because they have realized that such a beast is an abomination that lives to kill and will kill “anything” in front of it with pure abandon. And, that they will never have peace…even after “we” leave Iraq..unless they confront their own demons.

Right now, the people of IRaq (combined sunni, shiah, etc.,) are all workign together to fight AlQueda, and other foreigners from SA, Syria, etc., even Europe, who have come there to fight their “jihad” at the expense of the Iraqi’s themselves. The tiger is being hunted by the people who know where it lives, trains, etc., The tiger is being hunted by those closest to it who “can” find it and get to it.

And oh, BTW…where is the U.N.?? And all the other moral relativist? What do they have to say about foreign jihadis invading Iraq to kill “Iraqi’s to establish their own poltiical and religious goals there? Where is moral outrage about that? Or is that somehow “ok” because they are muslims? Or because they are of similar or same ethnicity? (I’ve heard those arguments too). Where are the people who exclaimed soverign rights on Saddam for his Iraq now? Where are they now that Iraq has held 3 free elections, has a representative gov and is struggling to overcome ancient divisions, hatred, etc., and is being invaded from all sides of the border by jihadis, and even OPENLY by other governments…to wage war against the “people” of IRaq for their own purposes? Where is their voice now? Where is the UN? Silence.

The “point” is…if one can even have a “singular point” in this broad context, the Iraqi people know and understand which side of that equation/paradigm WE are on..because..we are there. It’s a shame the people who live here and the rest of the free world don’t. But, I can honestly say…that one day—and this war is far from over yet—one day, all of the people who put on pink wigs, etc..acted as fools and did things to undermind this effort..will be ashamed of what they did. They will not be telling their great grandkids what they did during the great war because it will not be a proud moment for them. Shame on us?? I don’t think so. I think the shame will be yours. You’ll be like the people who protested our invovlement of WWII. Who remembers them? And when their grandchildren ask…Granddaddy..what did you do in the war? You think they will say…oh…I organized protests against our gov, “exposed” vital security information, etc. to stop them from wars of imperilsim on the rest of the world to steal it’s oil..etc..etc.?? No. That sounds good when you are sucking in a bong hit in a college dorm party. But, it’s not going to fit to well with you later in life. Trust me on that. While old clothes “do” occasionally come back in style for a short while…most of my hip-hugger elephant bottoms are moth food and the images left thereof of me wearing them…embarrassing to say the least.

BTW..we don’t hear much about Putin..basically usurping his entire gov so he can have it handed back to him a few years later. Most of my “moral relativst” people I know say…oh…he must be just getting things organized or…something. Uh huh. Pass the bong.

You want to see a vision of a muslim terrorist in the US read this article about a terrorist with Hizbollah ties arrested in Dearborn MI dressed for battle and carrying an AK47. The arrest happened on 9/8 and the rumor is the mayor wanted the story burried until after 9/11.

One wonders how De Palma’s anti-Iraq movie ‘Redacted” will play in Muslim communities – will it start riots and murder/rapes here for revenge? The answer is probably.

These terrorists are saying they will show the fallacy of Western Civilization, but I don’t think it is Western Civilization with Gitmo and trials that they have to fear the most right now, it is those Sunni tribesmen.
