Iran’s Promise To Destroy Us

Published by at 10:44 am under All General Discussions,Iran

Iranian President Ahmedinejad has come out doing his Hitler routine again:

The countdown to Israel’s destruction has begun, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in a speech commemorating the death of Iranian revolution leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini on Sunday.

“The arrogant superpowers and the Zionist regime invested all their efforts during the 33-day war, but after 60 years, their pride has been trampled and the countdown to the destruction of this regime has been started by Hizbullah fighters,” the president was quoted as saying by Iranian news agency Mehr.

Ahmadinejad added that “with the help of all the Lebanese and Palestinian fighters, we will witness the destruction of this regime in the near future… Anyone who works for God and believes in the power of the people will prevail.”

Israel is not the only nation about to collapse, according to the Iranian president. The other “corrupt” nations will also give in to the Islamic republic’s strength and suffer the same fate.

“We are already witnessing the repercussions of the surrender. The people of Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Afghanistan and all over the world are joining this river that will soon be linked to the ocean of truth and justice,” he said.

Sounds like the 3rd Reich all over again. Being this delusional is scary, even without a nuclear weapons in their hands. The summer of Jihad does not seem to be going as planned, but that does not mean it cannot get some footing. The Afghanistan campaign was crippled by NATO actions taking out much of the Taliban leaders. The Lebanese front was messed up when the Lebanese Army surrounded al Qaeda’s forces supposedly hidden inside a Palestinian refugee camp. And the Iraq front is also seeing problems with the shift in Sunni alliances. But with all these set backs Ahmedinejad seems a tad too confident still.

We cannot repeat our mistake of the 1990’s when we ignored al Qaeda’s promises to destroy us, prior to 9-11. If we do not take these repeated threats seriously we are simply begging Iran to follow through on them.

Wrong tactic. Tell them that the Mullahs are dressing up as wetbacks and are going to sneak across the border to pick cucumbers. That will get these guys going.

Small matters of Islamo fanatics threatening to kill us means little to these guys. Afterall, all politicians lie and everything is hopeless so what’s the point. I mean man is terrible and the earth is better off without us and we can stop killing species and we can end global warming and the seas will not be polluted and the polar bears will have their ice back and the elephants will roam free and the Martian Ice Cap will return because we will not be driving SUV’s.

Hell, the moon might be in the seventh house, Jupiter will align with Mars. Peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars.
    Aquarious here we come!!!!

Also, our destruction means Jorge Aubusto will not be able to concoct his secret plan to integrate the US into a Mexican dominated North American Union and make us subserviant to the new amero.
    money.

Even better, that means we do not have to hear from RETIRE05 about identity theft.

No, Strata, it is delusional, and dishonest to conflate militant Shia goals with those of Salafism and Wahhabism in the form of al Qaida.

If you wish to use the old paradigm of World War Two (and I’m not sure why you do, as Europe has largely outgrown it when addressing
Mideast issues) your description above would be like
assuming in the mid 1930s that Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia
would fight as one against American interests. They did not; rather
we ultimately sided with at least as great and arguably the greater evil.

Meanwhile, 30,000 most unpersecuted Jews go on living
    comfortably in Iran.

This seems to be posturing to maintain status in the middle east. Iran is somewhere between 2 and 10 years (depending on who you believe) away from being able to build a bomb. Standing up and challenging the great satan without being knocked down lets them appear to be the stronger horse.

The only reasonable thing to do at this stage would be to destroy their nuclear facilities as the israelis did to Sadaam. Unfortunately they have spread these facilities out geographically, making a clean strike impossible.

Once there is definite proof they are serious, it will be no big deal to take them out … the difficulty is to be able to do this before the israelis feel forced to act.

The biggest danger is that they manage to import something clandestinely from a third party. North Korea if they manage a successful test. Pakistan, if Musharaff falls. Putin.
